Gorgeous Nails

Pros:
Nail polish lasted almost a full week without chipping.
Staff is friendly.
They stayed past closing time to finish my mani-​pedi and did not rush.
Cons:
I had the tell the guy «No!» to gel nail polish at least 3 times. He kept trying to push it on me which was VERY annoying and awkward. He told me regular nail polish would chip in a day or two (it didn’t!).
Massage chair did not work well and was very loud.
The nail polish was applied very thick and was bubbly, streaky, and uneven in several places.
The atmosphere isn’t great. Could use an update.

Everyone (from workers to customers) was so friendly, I wish it had been a better experience. The finished pedi looks fine, but it was not relaxing at all. I was cut multiple times when the man was working on my cuticles/​dry skin. This makes me so anxious because I worry about the cleanliness of it all. It seems that his tools weren’t sharp enough to be going this type of work. He did not ask me any questions about my preferences. He did not remove all of the nail polish, even when I asked him about it he just looked at me and then when back to work. The other people that received pedicures were given actual leg/​foot massages, and i barely had lotion applied to my skin. The chair I was in was broken, so didn’t allow for a massage, but also couldn’t be adjusted back and forth. I am taller than average, and I was rather uncomfortable when ever my feet were out of the tub. To make it easier for him to work on my feet, he propped them up on this pillow/​rest thing. At one point, he pushed that into the tub and I was splashed up to my lap in the water. When he had finally finished painting my nails, he left for another customer. More than 40 minutes passed while I was just sitting there because there was no one at the front for me to pay, and no one said anything to me about it. It was only $ 25, but it wasn’t worth it. I won’t be returning, which is too bad because it’s just around the corner from my house.

This is the only place that I will go to for a pedicure. I see Lynn every time and she is phenomenal. For $ 25 you get a lot of work done on your feet!
My mom has acrylic nails and goes to Kim for her fills. Kim does a beautiful job! :) I absolutely recommend this place!

Went to Kim by Margaret’s review. Very satisfied. Got a pedi and shellac mani. First time my toenails were completely polished. No unpolished top edges. Friendly, talkative, and super attention to detail. Clean and comfortable. No more «VIP nails» where you never know what you are going to get. Will surely go back and highly recommend it.
Went back today to remove the gel. Lynn did it cheerfully and no charge!!!
Kim is the first ever to trim my cuticles without them fraying.
I am so happy to find these awesome ladies. this is a must try.

Poor service. I will never come to this nail salon again. Apparently Kim is the person to go to. I called to make an appointment prior to arriving to make sure that I could receive a fill and a pedicure. When I arrived I was greeted and seated for my pedicure. The nail technician that began my pedicure was a male (Kim’s husband I think) and his work started out poor so I requested someone else to do my pedicure (I was hoping to get Kim since I read the previous Unilocal reviews before I came). Unfortunately I didn’t get Kim I got another lady named Lynn.
Lynn started out good but she started getting an attitude when I corrected her work. She was clearly off when she was painting my French. She said I was being picky lol. But I was thinking something must be wrong with her glasses because she was clearly off.
I was suppose to get a pink & white fill but Lynn said it would take her an hour and a half and she told me I should go to Kim because Kim can do a better job. Kim was all booked for the day so I left.
I should have known Kim was best because she had appointments back to back. Plus she sits in the front when you walk in and it’s usually a good person in the front. All in all my pedicure was ok, could have been a lot better if I went to Kim. Bebe does a better job but they were booked so I had to try Gorgeous Nails. :-(

Overall, pretty pleased with the pedicure I received from them. Paid $ 25 for my pedicure which included a massage, scrub and all the works.
I definitely will be returning, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone else!

I have been going to Gorgeous Nails for years & love the service & atmosphere there. Kim is my choice, but Lynn is also very popular! This is the place to go in Frederick if you want a clean, fun environment with natural looking nails! Enjoy…

I have been going here for 8+ years now. I found them on a whim. They do a great job on my nails and my toes! I wouldn’t be a repeat customer for this long if the service and quality were bad. Without an appointment be prepared to wait a while, calling ahead is the best bet!
