I went to return shoes I ordered online and didn’t like. Side note: don’t waste your time ordering the BCBGeneration Darrons. You’ll just feel shitty knowing you can’t afford the Valentinos. Unless you can, in which case bully for you. Anyway, I planned to return them but the cashier said she could order different shoes online for me so I wouldn’t lose the $ 10 coupon I used. There was a -$ 20 difference which was given to me in store credit. At no point did she explain to me that she would have to refund the purchase to a store credit in order to give me the discount. If I’d known, I would’ve said no thanks and just gotten my refund. I don’t understand why she had to do such a convoluted transaction anyway. I had my receipt and returned the shoes literally one day after receiving them, so why did I get a store credit back? I rarely shop at DSW so I’ll probably forget I even have it. Tika(the cashier) was very sweet the whole time and I don’t think she was purposefully trying to cheat me but I wish she would’ve told me I wouldn’t be receiving my money back. Be forewarned if you’re offered this option at DSW!
