Classic Property Management

I rented a town home from CPM for almost two years. During that time I had several minor issue that I reported. From a leaky roof, leaking plumbing, loose carpet, mirrors loose and hanging off wall, a/​c issues. They always said they would put in a work order. The plumbing and a/​c, I finally fixed myself. One roof leak was repaired with spray sealer (as seen on TV type). The other items, never addressed. I was relocated and gave notice as agreed, an addendum for 30 day notice was written into my lease, very vague. The way it was written made it useless. The original leasing agent «Mindy» made several assurances that were false, the last I heard from her was a very unprofessional email that said she «had been a bad girl» and was no longer with the company. It was obviously an auto response letter set up by the company. After a further review of my lease, it was clear it was written so that no deposit would ever need be returned. Please read your lease, and discount all assurances that «we never use that clause». I have rental property and use a property manager to manage them for me in another state. If he ran my property as CPM manages theirs, he would be removed asap. This is a nice home, but is slowly deteriorating, and will not be repaired until absolutely necessary. This management company is good at one thing, collecting rent, that seems to be all they wish do.
One suggestion, keep all correspondence saved, I saved every email.
I have since this review received a bill for damages and unpaid rent. Prior to leaving 30 days notice was given and rent was paid in full. House was cleaner when we left than when we took possession, and notice was postmarked after the legally allowed 45 days to make such claim. I have removed one star only because it will not allow me to remove both. This company is less than professional and some actions borders of fraudulent in my opinion.

As a tenant for almost three years through this company, I have never received worse customer service. When I first moved in, a lady named Cinnamon managed all properties and she was amazing! Since then, I’ve had the owner, no less, send me verbally harassing emails. It’s impossible to get a call back now with the people who work there.
In addition, the property that I live in is completely run down on the outside.
If you do have to rent from this company, READ YOUR LEASE THOROUGHLY! I cannot stress this enough.
Please find another management company.
