Like many regulars we were concerned when Dan sold the shop but the new owners are continuing this Fredrick institution without a hitch. They have expanded the gaming section and reorganized in a way that flows nicely. Personally I could do with a few more indie comics but we always find something we are interested in reading. Keep up the awesome work.

I guess it’s cool that there’s a local comic book shop in Frederick. And I do pop in here pretty regularly to see if there’s ever anything new and it’s close to the parking garage I use. But really it’s just a small shop with a lot of stuff I’m not really into, such as a large section dedicated to Warhammer. I’d call this more of an «intermediate nerd» shop. Meaning that it’s really a good place to find, say, a rare comic to add to your already established comic book collection. Or a good place to find expansion packs or variations of card games or board games you already play. But it’s not so much of a casual place for someone who has never played a board game or doesn’t collect comics or cards to really start their foundation. The owners are friendly and have answered some questions I’ve had before, and the store is always well kept and organized, so that’s a good thing. It’s by no means a bad place, but I would just like to see a few changes in prices and merchandise content.

The comic shop is well-organized with the more relevant collectibles like Star Wars and Walking Dead merchandise in the front. In the back they have various comics as well as vintage comics. I had to deduct a star because the vintage comics were overpriced than what they should be considering the grade and demand for such comics.

This is a great shop. I do not live in Fredrick but my girlfriend and myself stopped in. The staff were nice and engaged us in conversation. They are not the largest comic shop but they definitely have a nice selection and do have a great selection for kids. If you are in Fredrick, then this could be a nice stop.

I don’t read or collect comics and I don’t know anything about them. My friend was visiting and he wanted to stop in when we walked by the store so in we went. The guy at the register was friendly and seemed knowledgeable and easily answered questions from nerds, I mean customers, while we were there. They have a shelf of $ 1 comics so that’s nice if you have a kid that just wants you to buy them something. They also sell stuff like games and Funko Pop figures. Don’t remember if there are video games or DVDs. Oh and there’s a small fridge tucked behind the counter with drinks for sale in case you’re thirsty.

This is the only place I go for comics. I made brainstorm my main comic shop a few years ago. Anytime I find myself at another shop I always compare them against these guys. The staff is awesome and I’ve added and removed quite a bit from my subscriptions list over the last few years. Never a complaint if I don’t take an issue that was pulled for me. Even after the new ownership it has kept the charm that keeps me and my friends going here. I never really go out to 85 anymore since I always have a better experience here. Plus it being downtown it’s great to stop and grab something to eat at one of the other shops nearby.

The update is no update. They’re still great. The store seems tidier, better organized, than last I visited in 2013. Someone bought the«LYING» t-shirt(fair). The indie/adult* comix shelf was a thing of glory. Really inspiring and fun. Friendly vibe, and just a great addition to any downtown Frederick wander-through. * not in that way

The staff here are very friendly and knowledgable. Their stock is excellent and their prices are reasonable. I’d like to see more board games, but other than that I couldn’t ask for much more from a board game /comic book establishment.

I LOVEDTHISPLACE! I must note I went to the inner city location when My grandma and I were traveling, and when we stopped to eat, i darted across the street to look in here to look at the rare MTG cards. Sadly they don’t sell those here, but it’s got all the awesomeness of a comic book shop. It has MTG boosters if you absolutely NEEDMTG carts too. They also have dice. SOMANYD20’s my head span.

This is where I buy the occasional comic book. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable without being too much like the Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons. Shhhh … don’t tell anyone I read comic books. Update: This place now gives out a card that allows the bearer to get 10% off all purchases. No need to sign-up for anything, just show the card. at least that is what I heard since I don’t read comics … shhhh.
