One of my favorite things to do when I’m returning from Philly back home to Va Beach during the summer is to stop at a produce stand and grab a dozen ears of white corn. Normally I do this down in Selbyville DE however I’ve passed this place so many times in the past I decided I was going to stop in and have a look around. It’s early in the season yet however I was able to find plenty of corn to take home and it was only $ 4.50 for the dozen. This was all fresh and locally grown as far as I know, and I don’t mind supporting that at all. The store itself was nice, the AC was super comfortable without being cold. After taking a quick look around I grabbed my corn and was on the road again. I’ll definitely keep this on my short list for produce shops on Rt 113.

It’s not my favorite farmers market, but it’s not bad. I prefer the one across the highway, which has better prices and better quality, but not a strong enough preference to make me fight through two U-turns on Memorial Day weekend for a couple of lemons. The parking lot is pretty tight, so sometimes it’s easier to park on the shoulder when they’re busy.
