WFDM – Freedom 95.9 FM Talk Radio

This is a conservative talk radio station, at 95.9 FM. Weekday lineup includes: Rusty Humphries, Laura Ingraham, Dave Ramsey, Sean Hannity, Savage Nation, Mark Levin, Jerry Doyle. Sean Hannity is good, the others… meh. Weekend line-​up is pretty weak.
Their office, and I think their transmitter too, is in Franklin, south of Greenwood. This station does not have good coverage in most of Indianapolis. Their antenna is too low, and they don’t transmit with enough power (wattage output). You can be driving along, and they will cut in and out.
Warning: do not tune to this station unless you are politically conservative, otherwise you will blow a gasket. Even if you are politically conservative, Michael Savage and Mark Levin are obnoxious and angry, and hard to listen to.
If you can stomach Michael Savage’s abrasive un-​diplomatic pull-​no-​punches delivery/​presentation, he does have an interesting take on conservatism/​libertarianism. He is NOT of the same bent as say Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity. He’s more anti-​liberal than pro-​conservative. He points out the hypocrisy, corruption, and behind-​the-​scenes shenanigans on the conservative side too. He’s much more world-​travelled than Limbaugh or Hannity, so he has an interesting global perspective. His background was very academic, so he occasionally makes a more scholarly presentation of his ideas, but they’re often overwhelmed in his obnoxious delivery.
