It is located in a location that is right off of 65 highway, making it very easy to access from just about anywhere from around the Franklin area. I live only 15 minutes north. The pricing is the best that I have found.
I needed a place to store my kayaks and inflatable boat because my apartment is a bit too small for them, and the 12 foot kayak won’t fit around a corner in my hallway going into my apartment. They had a 5×15 storage unit available at a really low price.
The unit that I got is on the side of the facility, and the road slants away from the units on about a 15% grade (just guessing). That is good because it directs any rain water away from the unit eliminating the chance that your things will get wet (unless there is a biblical flood, which is doubtful).
The security seems adequate. They sell disk locks for only $ 10 if you don’t have one. I would never put a normal padlock on any external storage facility because no matter how good the security is, if it only takes a bolt cutter to get into the unit, it will still cause unnecessary hassle with paperwork, possible court, etc. So do what I did and invest in a nice titanium shrouded disk lock where the shackle can’t be cut because it is almost fully hidden when you lock it down. Storage express also has a PIN entry system and cameras at the gate. The Franklin area isn’t a high crime area to my knowledge, so I feel pretty safe there.
The customer service must only be a few people because I think I spoke to the same lady each time. That might be how they keep their costs down? Anyway, the customer service was very helpful both times that I called them. They even gave me 50% off the first month that I moved in.
The web site is very easy to use and find things, like paying rent. It’s clean without any clutter, and you can live chat with a customer rep pretty much any time. Speaking of «any time», they were the only storage company that was open on a Sunday when I needed them. Everyone else I called in the area were only open Monday through Saturday.
In conclusion, if you want good safe storage at an affordable price, Storage express is the way to go.
