What a wonderful place to get your children’s haircut. It is the best haircut my 2 year old twins have ever had. It is also the first time they haven’t cried during a haircut. Thank you so much. We will be back.

I’ve been coming here for a few years. Generally I’ve left pleased but it is hit and miss. One boy cut came out great. The other was literally hacked, not cut. The haircut is the worst he’s received in his 7 years of life. Unfortunately I won’t be back.

Heather did a great haircut and really listened to what I asked for. My son’s hair looks great.

Quick and easy which is a rarity with children! Walked in with no appointment right at 12PM on a Sunday and they were quick to accommodate my two boys, ages 2&4. Stylist followed picture I provided pretty closely. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that it wasn’t the best haircut we’ve received, but still pretty darn cute and much shorter for summer. We received good«first timers» price of $ 9 each. Boys LOVED the pride machine where you insert a card and a toy pops out.

First, I only go when I have a coupon. Expensive. Second, the haircuts are hit or miss. First time great, second time not great. A simple blunt cut on my five year old and it was not even. My daughter keeps pretty still, so the haircut should have been more even. Third, on the first(March 2014) visit the employees were lackadaisical. Taking selfies, showing me pics on their phone and then somewhat surprised I needed them to do me a service. Second visit(January 5, 2015) and the workers were not forthcoming in talk(as in direction or greeting or just conversing with the kids), however a point was made to tell me her lunch was waiting and she was hungry. In summation, the employees don’t know how to conduct themselves. If you work with kids, at least try to engage the kids. Some of them are freaked out about a getting a haircut. The young woman didn’t even talk to my daughter. I gave two stars because my daughter likes the place. She’s dazzled by the décor and prize. I’m still debating whether to go back.

I’m confused by all the bad reviews because I had such a great experience! I was nervous about taking my 2 y/o to his first salon haircut. I had cut his hair in the past and the results were nothing less than a disaster. The stylist was very kind and was great at keeping my son distracted. The moment he started to get upset, she gave him a sucker to keep him happy. The whole haircut took less than 5 minutes. He now has a very cute pompadour! After the haircut, they provide a card that my son stuck into a machine and it gave him a prize. We both had a great experience! I do think the prices are normally a little high, but there was a $ 9.99 coupon on their website that I used.

My daughter has been growing her hair for several years with the goal of donating it to «Locks for Love». She decided she wanted to get it cut a couple weeks back. Having received a coupon for kids haircuts from Snip-its, I figured we’d give them a try. Our stylist underwhelmed me. She was very nervous and didn’t do a super great job with the cut. She wasn’t rude or anything– simply NERVOUS. I’d hope she’s worked this out by now because I figured out this was her first day! The other stylists were fabulous!(I’ve read other reviews on here and I’d say that the other stylists were GREAT and delivered way better results than what you’ll read on here) When we were done and I went to pay, I was told we get the cut for FREE!!! Why? the owner will donate the haircut and mail the hair to Locks for Love for you… I was SUPER impressed with this and for this alone, we will revisit. Please thumb up/comment if you liked this review and I would count it a privilege if you chose to follow me as I review places I travel and visit. Thank you for taking the time to read! ~mp

I have not idea why this place doesn’t have better ratings. I almost didn’t go because all of the neg comments but I am so glad I did! We had a great experience!!! We just moved to Franklin from Jacksonville, FL. My son is 3 yrs old and has had haircuts before. When we walked in there were two ladies cutting hair and seemed to be very nice and friendly to the children and the parents. When it was my son’s turn, April called us back and she did a great job cutting my son’s hair and was sweet and spoke to my son. When it was over, my son got animal crackers, a lollipop, AND a little prize. We will return. When we left there were already two more children waiting for haircuts.

I’m giving 2 stars based in the service alone, my daughters haircut came our fine, but the staff should not work with children. They were so unfriendly, and did not talk or in gage any of the children there. We can get better service at great clips, we won’t be back.

I wish I could give zero stars to the Snip Its in Franklin, TN! I was hesitant about getting my 17 month old son’s first haircut because he had gorgeous curls in the back. But I knew it was time for a trim and found this place online. It looked like a fun place and I assumed that since it was a kid’s salon that the stylist(I use that term very loosely!) would know how to deal with a child getting his first haircut. I went on a Saturday and it was quite busy. No one was working the front desk… just whichever stylist was ringing up a previous customer would take your info. I told the stylist that I was nervous about cutting my son’s curls so I wanted just a TRIM. Well I’m not sure if she didn’t hear me, doesn’t know what a trim means, or she was in a hurry. She made no effort to interact with my son. She just strapped him in and started hacking away at his hair. My son was upset so I was trying to hold his head still while comforting him. Since I was preoccupied with that, I didn’t not notice how much hair she hacked off the back of my son’s hair. She cut off all the curls in the back and it was uneven at best. The she randomly cut a few pieces on the top and front. When I got my son out of the chair and saw his hair I was heartbroken. All the curls were gone and the haircut was a mess. The top of his hair was pretty full and the back was cut so short. It looked TERRIBLE. My husband joked that our son’s hair looked like Demi Moore’s hairstyle from the movie Ghost! I left Snip Its very upset and started calling other places to see if I could take him somewhere to else to get this mess fixed. I ended up going to Great Clips to see if they could fix some of the damage done at Snip Its. So not only did we get bad customer service, a terrible haircut which was overpriced($ 16.99), I then had to go somewhere else and pay to get it fixed. So disappointed and I won’t be back. And you better believe all of my mommy friends know not to go there either!

My kids really enjoyed the couple of times they have gone here. Had a wonderful birthday party for my 5-year-old. Staff was great and the girls had so much fun! Love it!

Went to this location yesterday for my son’s first haircut. I am giving this location a 1, and that is being generous due to service only! We came to this location as it is advertised as a great place for you children, fun while getting a haircut. When we arrived, the two stylist were complaining about the people who had just left – they had a coupon and didn’t give the one stylist a good tip. I blew it off and that right there was my indication, to leave. We were excited to be there so I proceeded to check us in, the one dark haired girl in glasses says, since it is your first time, here is a coupon. I thought, okay cool. She knew I overheard her complaining, so I thoughts, cool– was excited – save $ 7 bucks. However, the red head took my son and started their cut process. Overall, his haircut was okay – only okay. The stylist did not want to be there, she had a horrible attitude and very aggressive in her tone and process. She obviously did not want to either be working or cutting hair – her attitude killed the haircut. I truly noticed how unhappy she was when I got home and reviewed our photos. To top all of this off, the coupon I was offered upfront – well, she did not apply it. I was too upset on the cut, the attitude and overall engagement with this stylist that I did not pay too much attention to the bill. She asked me 4x if I wanted to apply a tip – I finally said, yes, as I quickly remembered when we first walked in how the stylists were bitching about the previous client. When I got to the car, I asked my other half, did she just rip me off and not apply the coupon they gave me? I reviewed the receipt and thought – «this is the worst experience ever.» The stylist totally ruined what was going to be and started out to be a great Saturday. ****On the cut***** The great thing about this place is the seats that face a TV with cartoons. The concepts is excellent – very nice and pleasant. The second my son walked in he was excited. He did well, did move a little, but otherwise, he was taking in all the colors and characters in the establishment. The overall cut was okay – it is choppy and buzz cuts on his neck I cleaned up when I got home. Overall cut is a 5 out of a 10, but I think he’ll get better at the cuts as he gets older. Net/Net – don’t waste your time. Your personal stylist or even a SportsClips would have been 1: Easier to Deal with, 2: A hell of a lot more professional

My son has been here 4 times now(he is 15 months old). They always do a great job. Today we arrived 5 minutes before closing so I went in ahead of my wife and son to ask if they would rather we come back another day. They were more than happy to accommodate us and still gave my son a great haircut without it seeming rushed.

Any haircut is $ 16.99. I might be crazy but I think that seems fair, considering that I could not do this myself.

Positive: +My kid didn’t completely freak out. +Sanitary. She disinfects toys after each kid Negative: –DAMN that’s an expensive haircut for a kid. –Lady didn’t edge my kid straight. Had a nice gouge in the back. I understand kids move around and stuff, but if you’re gonna claim to be a child haircut specialist, you better be prepared for that. Cant blame it on the kid really though because she said he was the best first haircut she’d ever had. Bottom Line: It was a hosed up haircut. Blame it on the stylist or blame it on my kid, it’s either a bad barber or a liar for saying my kid was the best. Either way, at this price I’m not coming back.

My wife took our 5 year old daughter for her back to school haircut here. There were no other customers in the shop, so she was seen right away. We had a Groupon for a «full service haircut», which is apparently just the actual haircut. What’s the«full service»? No clue. SnipIts themselves posted on the Groupon site, saying you could add a wash & blowdry for $ 4 on top of the Groupon. Fair enough. She gets there, and they want $ 3 for a wash, and $ 3 for a blow dry. They refused to honor the $ 4 stated on the site. Yes, it’s only $ 2, but is it really worth arguing with a customer over $ 2? I am a manager at a retail store, and $ 2 is a small sacrifice to make someone happy. The wash and cut took about 5 minutes, and they were on their way. No fun back to school haircut experience for our daughter or real interest by the staff there to make it fun. Will not ever be coming back here, and we’ll spread the word to our friends with kiddos that this place isn’t even close to worth it.

Terrible service, the woman was rude, and terrified my son. The pics of this place online are misleading. I was visiting from NYC so I’m used to rude behavior. When I entered the business I was met by an unprofessional stylist working at the front desk. Had I known she would be cutting my sons hair I would have walked out immediately. She was rude, dirty, and downright shouldn’t have a job working with children. My son and I were in Franklin looking for real estate and thought we would try the place out given that we are planning to move to the area in the next few months. He has his hair cut by someone much kinder in New York. This place doesn’t represent the kind people in the area. This place shouldn’t be in business!!! I finally grabbed my son halfway through his haircut and left the salon. I had his hair corrected by another salon. Robert, the owner, should reevaluate who he has working at his salon. WARNING!!!
