Incredibly slow service. I went here for lunch by myself and ordered a burrito. It took 35 minutes after ordering to bring it out. Most of the burrito was cold(except for the very middle) and served on a very wobbly plate that kept spinning and moving. During the whole meal I wasn’t offered a refill on my drink. The restaurant was only 1⁄3 full so I’m confused as to the bad service. I’ve been to another location and the experience is the complete opposite so this has been surprising and disappointing. I won’t be returning to this location.

Holy hell what a dump, first of all the staff does not speak, Who knows if they speak English I just mean speak at all, when it’s time for you to order they point at you. And once your food comes you will never see your waiter again, this place was near dead at lunch hour a sure sign of a Crappy Establishment. Will not return.

Food was average, service was acceptable, most servers will guide you to certain items that are more popular the server I had we might have spoke 10 words between the time I arrived and he dropped off the check. The guac wasn’t terrible but no where near good. It tasted old. How do you have bad guac as a Mexican restaurant?

I read all the recent terrible reviews about Las Palmas, and honestly stopped going to this location 18 months ago because of the continual downward spiral of the food, service and management. I found myself next door to Las Palmas at Noon today and decided to give it another try. I was greeted at the door and seated promptly by the greeter. Chips and salsa were on the table within 30 seconds of my seating and I was greeted individually by the staff and manager. The entire staff moved with urgency and continually checked in with the guests throughout the room. I sensed that they somehow got the message from HQ that things were going to improve or heads were going to roll. My chicken taco salad was served quickly, and it was tasty. The chicken was moist & tender and the shell crispy. Overall a solid 4*. Not sure if this one visit is an indication that things are getting better, but I hope so. I emailed the main office 18 months ago(3 times due to no response) to discuss problems at this location but they totally blew me off. We used to visit Las Palmas once a week, but quit entirely after the main office decided that customers were not important. We will see!

I am currently sitting at Las Palmas and so far it’s pretty bad. Our server is awful. She took 2 minutes to question me on the validity of my id. I am clearly of age. Then she cut me off when I ordered and said«give me that» forcefully for our menus. She tried to give me someone else’s check before I even ordered. She’s obviously not happy to be here. I watched a couple sit at a table for 10 minutes before having to get up and find a server. I had a coupon for free cheese dip so I told my server when I ordered cheese dip. When our check came the cheese dip was on there as a charge. I told the waitress and she asked to see my coupon. I pulled out my phone and started to scroll to find it in my email and the server TAKESMYPHONE. She then disappears with it. This made me really upset because she didn’t even let me look for the coupon. I got up and found her and the manager talking. I told the manager that I wasn’t okay with her disappearing with my phone and I let him know how awful the service was all night. He apologized. But nothing else was done. Still paid for everything on the check. Then the server comes to apologize and she touches me on the back. NO. DONTTOUCHME. Good service can make up for okay food. But bad service and bad food is not good.

Me and my roommate were craving Mexican tonight, so we decided to go to Las Palmas down the road from our apartment. We were greeted swiftly, and brought to our table. When our waitress came to the table to get our drinks, my roommate, clearly of age ordered a margarita. The waitress asked for her I.D. and stared at her, then said, «I don’t think I can serve you. When is your birthday?» With the I. D in her hand. She also was incredibly forceful in her size suggestions of drinks. My roommate ordered a small, and she was like, «No you want a large. You do.» After she brought our drinks, my roommate took a sip and looked at me and said, «Can you taste any tequila in this?» I took a sip and tasted the tiniest bit of tequila. Like there wasn’t even a shot in it. Our waitress came back with someone else’s check and debit card. Literally right after we got there. The people in the booth next to us had been sitting there since we had and they hadn’t even been greeted yet. Being a previous server, I know that hosts can double sit people and it can get crazy, but you can still greet people, acknowledge that you see them, and explain you will be right back to take their drink order. Our food came out at a pretty swift time by management. The food was okay. Not amazing, but okay. We had a coupon for free cheese dip, but it was on the check anyway. Since it was mobile, my roommate went to pull it out to show her, but the waitress rudely grabbed it out of her hand and brought it to the manager. We complained to management and got our check with the queso STILL on the check. Also, when she was collecting plates, she spilled a bunch of stuff on me. Seriously the cherry on top. We eventually got the check back. I’ve been a server for about two years in two different restaurants, one a successful Mexican restaurant in Georgia. At this point, you at least comp drinks. My point is, if it’s crappy service and decent food, I’m not going to go back. If it’s really amazing service and decent food, I’ll give it a go. This however was awful all around. The waitress was rude, pushy and incredibly sassy. And the food wasn’t that great. Just don’t go.

Steryotypical mexican restaurant. Food is ok, nothing great, nothing bad. My order was brought out wrong but was fixed very fast, almost too fast, which makes me wonder how it was done so quickly but whatever. The price is right for what you get, the chips were really great.

Food is ok, but the service was terrible. I sat without a refill on my drink for over ½ of my meal, and the price for the drink(tea) was over $ 2. I will never go back here. Not worth the money or my time.

It was hands down the worst Mexican food I have ever had. It is your typical, run of thee mill, generic Mexican food restaurant, but done very poorly. The guacamole was flavorless, the carnitas were super dry, he chimichangas were tiny, and the fish tacos were so bad I sent them back and asked not to pay. I have honestly never done that before. It was really uncomfortable. The food aside, the service was terrible to boot.

The worse Mexican food I’ve ever eaten. The service was just as bad. Deserves 0 stars, but that apparently isn’t an option.

If you like bland good from a can, then this is the place for you. Nothing tasted fresh and the atmosphere was uninviting.

This place used to be fantastic, but it has gone downhill in the last couple of years. The food tasted blah and the prices of gone up quite a bit. Even the amount of food served has decreased as well. I probably won’t be back considering.

I have ALWAYS loved Las Palmas. The location is AMAZING. Yes, the décor is flashy and cheesy. And yes the service can be hit or miss. BUT they have ALWAYS accommodated our large parities and dozens of questions with smiles and patience –and for that I give them 5 stars. The margaritas are great and if you like outdoor seating, their patio is large and shaded. I enjoy the laid back atmosphere, good drinks, and the food always comes out quickly.

This place is tucked back in the corner of a complex that also holds Kroger and Dick’s Sporting Goods, so there is plenty of parking. Décor is typical of Mexican restaurants, flashy and odd color choices. Service was not spectacular, as others have also mentioned. I had to seek out the server to get silverware as he rolled it. Now the food itself was mediocre at best. Many of the dishes listed on the menu come with either rice OR beans, but not both. I ordered the chicken chimichanga with rice and it was just«okay.» The rice was just warm and lacked any flavor while the chicken was the type that just sits in a tomato based liquid to cook and hold till service. Overall I was not a fan and since I am not in the area often, I’m not likely to return.

This location is the exact reason of why I fell in love with them in the first place. My cousin and I used to go here all of the time and I would go on lunch breaks. I miss this location and didn’t think I would get to have their food again until I found the one in my area. It’s a good spot to go and their drinks are pretty good too.

We go here about twice a month… Want the BEST Mexican that is usually overpriced? Want great atmosphere? This probably is not your place. Good food, fair price, no atmosphere, good service, nice people. We never expected too much and have always had a good experience.

After trying Nachos, I wanted to give this place a try. I was hoping that the Cool Springs/Franklin area was not completely devoid of good tex-mex. Honestly, they were okay, though they food could have benefited from more cheese and the salsa could have tasted like actual salsa instead of marinara sauce. However, what really knocked them down was the really bad case of indigestion I got afterwards. I don’t plan on returning any time soon.

Hands down the worst Mexican food(and service) that we have had anywhere in the country. Here is a recap: Sala worst we’ve had. No onions, no peppers. Service VERY slow. Event to the point that we were served part of our order and then waited 5 – 8 minutes for the rest. I ended up using the Chip basket as a pâté because none was provided for the fajitas. Food…our 10 year old refused to finish her dinner because it wasn’t good… no taste. She wouldn’t even eat the rice and beans. The food ended up making my wife sick. I would avoid Las Palmas.

I put 5 star to offset what i view as «unfair» reviews by other Unilocaler’s… I would rate this place as a 3 star divey Mexican spot. I commonly come here for lunches during the week, but i just took the whole family here after church for the first time, looking for a decent cheap meal out. Side note: My favorite lunch is the Speedy(1 taco, 1 enchilada, and beans) I get chicken not the beef. All for $ 5.64WITH over a 20% tip! Best deal in town! I love the beans with chips! Today we went and the manager was SUPER friendly. Our server was usual for this place– not great, not horrible. One server I’ve nicknamed«Ms. Personality»(and yes I speak the language of sarcasm). If you frequent this place, I’ll let you figure out who she is… :-) So, today I forgot to order my meal with chicken. They brought beef-100% my fault. Because I really don’t like tier beef flavoring and I really do like the chicken so much, I asked our server if they could replace it for me. I took full responsibility, and said I understood if they wouldn’t but was still asking. Well they did replace it for me at no charge. and with the prices here I was surprised to have them do this for me since there is a smaller profit margin than say Chuys. My wife ate here for the first time. She loved it. She ordered the Chorizo. Having lived in Mexico for a while, her take was LP is an authentic American-Mexican restaurant. All in my family of 4 ate for $ 20 plus tip. No coupons used. So, the décor is better than a dive for sure, but not fine dining by any means. For great value, good food and unique servers, Las Palmas is the place. Please thumb up/comment if you liked this review and I would count it a privilege if you chose to follow me as I review places I travel and visit. Thank you for taking the time to read! ~mp
