Constantly has very best/discount prices about whole Area and excellent choice for regardless of what credit card video game you perform. It’s a simple pop and mom store which has thrived in the last 6 many years for the exact same cause.

This GameStop is large enough to accommodate a fairly large crowd, and is run by competent managerial staff. Rarely do the regular staff at the store try to foist unwanted additional options onto you once you indicate you don’t want a protection plan or other GameStop service. Usually you can get in, get just enough attention from the staff to feel like you’re noticed and the staff is aware of your actions, and help is immediately forthcoming in a satisfactory manner of you need it. It’s been my GameStop for over a decade through buyouts and location change, and the state it’s in is pretty good at this point. It’s clean, kept up to date, kept stocked and kept with a good staff who will go out of their way to help with questions. It’s the very image of a GameStop in a suburban area. For this reason, I give it four stars.

I love Gamestop, I got A’s in school just so I can get games every quarter as a reward! But man this particular place really dampen my Christmas spirit… I understand that the holidays get crazy hectic so I’m not giving them a flat 1*. So the PSN was down so I couldn’t get my Far Cry 4 from the bundle, I’m already depressed as it is. I went to this Gamestop instead of the one I usually go to in Woonsocket since I was in the area. I have been eyeing Infamous Second Son since I saw the trailer last year, so I knew I had to get it. There were two version of the game and when we asked someone to help explained it they had no clue, just open the box and said«I guess this one have some extra stuff you can download maybe». I guess… We just got the preown version since they didn’t have any new copy. Got home, was dying to play so I pop the disc in… only to get error message of damage/dirty disc. Tried it several time, read some FAQs but still nothing work. Why? because there’s dirty smudges of fingerprints on the disc, and it’s not mine since I treat my my games like treasures. Return the next day to get another copy because we paid almost $ 50 for a used game … The line was insane. Many people returning their holiday purchases of what I’ve overhead was missing games in cases or malfunctioned wares. I got my return finished and I can tell everyone was having a bad day so I couldn’t get mad at them, but I had a bad sinking feeling about this 2nd try. I keep on thinking if this copy doesn’t work, do I get to switch a 3rd time? Either I’m curse or this Gamestop really suck because it barely worked. I got through the prologue, with the disc ejecting once or twice because of reading errors. Then the downloading/installing screen appears… and it lasted forever. It was stuck at 1:30 for 4 days. Never ever getting passed 44%. Again I noticed smudges on the disc. Was I cursed to never get to play Infamous Second Son? Nope, this place just doesn’t know how to take care of their games. I went to a Gamestop in Boston and got a replacement. My game downloaded within seconds. Disc look perfectly new even with the Pre-owned sticker! Seriously people, please treat these game disc well because you gave me two defective disc that almost scarred me for life.

two recent incidents which seemed to be related to the fact that I didn’t want a rewards card. I really don’t care if it saves me money in the long run, I don’t play video games that much and I don’t want to encourage my kids to play that much, but we have a Wii and a DS and a few games. The first incident, my daughter requested an older Zelda game for her birthday. The clerk looked it up on the computer and told me that a store in Connecticut had it and told me that he could have it shipped up and he would call me. He asked me for my rewards card and when I told him I didn’t have one he was astounded. He then attempted to sign me up. When I politely declined he was again astounded, to a point where he was offended. I left the store and, of course, I never received a phone call. I returned a week later and a very nice female clerk looked it up and mumbled something about it not being in yet. Another clerk just happened to be kneeling nearby and spoke to her quietly that it wasn’t coming. I had to ask several more times to find out that the disk was too heavily scratched and probably wouldn’t play. Fine why wouldn’t they tell me that in the first place. My daughter picked out another game and the issue of the rewards card came up. I politely explained that i didn’t want one and was promptly double teamed by the associates. I started to calmly explain my reasons, and I recounted the previous experience and I was promptly told to «just relax.» I wasn’t raising my voice or arguing, I didn’t need to «relax.» The clerk didn’t even bother to listen to me he walked out of the store, ignoring me. I left with out buying anything and went to the store in Bellingham and the two clerks were professional, helpful and didn’t mind that I didn’t want a rewards card. I emailed the regional manager and never heard back. Oh well it is what it is and I shouldn’t expect good service in a video game store, I guess.

This GameStop always has a decent selection of new and used video games. I’ve gone here countless times and what impresses me is how knowledgeable and helpful the workers are. They are polite and always offer assistance. One thing that isn’t that great(and this goes for all GameStop stores) is that when you trade in games, you barely get any money for them. For example, say I bought a new $ 40 game for the 3DS, if I returned it the very next day I would most likely get between $ 12 and $ 18 for it(this situation actually happened to me). Your best bet in this case is to buy used games and then if you figure out you don’t like them you can actually return them within 7 days and get a full refund.
