One of the best BBQ you’ll ever eat! The sauce is awesome and the cornbread and baked beans are wonderful

I went here for the first time today. I had the BBQ on cornbread sandwich(if that’s what you want to call it). The cornbread was definitely homemade and it showed; Very tasty and fresh. The BBQ was also hot and fresh so that checked out great. The BBQ sauce he puts on the pulled pork is good but nothing special. It’s a very generic«sweet» sauce but it goes well with everything. Overall, you get a lot of bang for your buck here so if you love BBQ, give Dunn’s a shot. I’ll definitely be back for more!

This is a small, simple, block building with a menu just as simple. You have your choice off pulled pork bbq or pork ribs with sides of baked beans, slaw, potato salad and cornbread. The taste is anything but small and simple, it’s fantastic and Mr. Dunn is a very friendly and proud owner. He’s been in business for 16 years. If you like bbq, I highly recommend you give it a try. Grab an RC from the machine outside on your way in. Also, call before going to make sure they are open. Dunn’s is currently open Wednesday — Friday 10:30am to 5pm.

While traveling through the area, we checked Unilocal for a place to eat. The GPS brought us to this location. This is definitely a «locals» hangout. Once we found it,(It’s smaller than my tool shed) it was closed. Not a very desirable neighborhood!

Mr. Horace Dunn is THE barbeque man in the little town of Franklin. There aren’t many other BBQ options in Franklin because everyone knows that Mr. Dunn serves up the town’s best meat. Located less than a mile from the county square, people flock to this place when they smell the smoke coming from Mr. Dunn’s rudimentary building off Jefferson Street. The hours of operation may occasionally vary since Mr. Dunn is the only one working here. I’d suggest giving him a call before you visit. He’ll treat you like he has known you your whole life. Generally, it’s open Thursday thru Saturday. The bottom line: It’s local. It’s cheap. It’s delicious.
