We hired the Brickyard to cater our class reunion at the Roxy Theatre, and we were very pleased with the food and service. Everyone at the Brickyard was helpful and willing to go above and beyond. The food was delivered on time – and it was all fresh and delicious! The prices were very reasonable; we did an appetizer combo that was $ 9.50/person, and it was more than enough food for a group of about 60. I would highly recommend working with the Brickyard Café if you’re looking to cater any event in Franklin!

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The pizza is great and so is the lasagna. We’ve been here so many times and the service is always excellent. If you are in Franklin, go to the Brickyard.

Was visiting family in TN. They brought us here as they had been here in the past. This place is great. Very rustic, great food, terrific service. It’s in a very old building and kept very close to it’s original style. Being that I live in Austin, Tx, it’ll be awhile before I return, but we’ll try hard.

Usually good place to eat. I ordered the cedar planked salmon — great special just not executed correctly. Soaking the cedar plank in water then charring the plank while grilling gives a great smokey flavor. Plank was not charred at all — no cedar plank flavor I expected. Still the best place in Franklin, just will not order this again.

I ate breakfast here the day of my friend’s wedding. They are not normally open for breakfast, but we had reserved it for a private party. I interior is just awesome. I love old buildings! The way they’ve kept so many of the historic features was great. The old wagon suspended from the ceiling made it feel like we were in another era! The breakfast they provided was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The cinnamon rolls were gigantic and so yummy! My favorite was an egg and salmon quiche-type of dish. It was so good I went back for seconds!

I was happy to have Unilocaled my way to Brickyard, not far(maybe a couple of miles) off I-65. It was the perfect place to relax on a beautiful October day for a late lunch. They offered a daily special(fish maybe?) that I don’t recall and only serve from the lunch menu until 3PM. I saw some interesting items on the dinner menu, but was told they were unavailable at lunch. That’s fine and probably helps them run their service and shifts more efficiently. There were maybe 3 other tables seated and a few guys at the bar when we arrived around 1:30PM. I had the grilled crab cakes with roasted sautéed veggies and rice, plus a virgin bloody mary and ice water. My friend had the chicken wrap and a Coke. The food was fresh, the service attentive, and the atmosphere cool(think exposed brick and original hardwood floors). And, the place was cute and clean. The patio was a pretty place to relax afterwards and the bar looked like a great place for a laid back cocktail. With lots of miles ahead of our return trip from Louisville I can’t comment on the drinks. Our lunch totaled ~ 30.00 before tip and the meal came with bread and olive oil/balsamic vinaigrette. Quaint, sweet, spot. Thank you Brickyard.

The food, atmosphere and service was great. I know the cook has to be Cajun the gumbo, pasta and chicken is prepared spicy as I like it. Would recommend it for any occasion.

Nice atmosphere. Service and food not so much. Does appear to have a group of regulars that receive all the employees attention. So if you are a regular it is probably the place to be!

Saw this restaurant earlier today as I was walking around the square in downtown Franklin — warm ambiance inside and out. Staff was nice and accommodating. Food was great! If I was local, I would be a regular!

This is a little treasure in small town Franklin KY. Something that isn’t southern cooking, mexican or fast food and is made by a chef with some training(and talent) is definitely a find in my book. Located right off the charming downtown square(and when i say square, i mean its a square with a courthouse in the middle) the restaurant use to be an old hardware store. Exposed bricks and old signs and a safe make this place cute. The food seems to be mostly italian driven, but there are things like jambalaya(husband was a fan) that keep it interesting. We had our post-wedding dinner here and it was setup nicely. The server was on high, running around like a mad man, but he took the orders quickly and had help while bring it out. Overall this is a great place for the location as its something new and different, if it was in Nashville, I would have probably given it 3 stars for the food, but the atmosphere is definitely a solid 4 stars. Check out the bar too! great wooden bar that has live music on the weekends. we heard a little of it and seems like a place to kick back and enjoy a cocktail.

Visited this establishment last evening, with couple who live in Franklin, KY. There was live entertainment(torture) in the form of a female guitar playing singer who screeched away so loudly that we had to shout at each other to carry on a conversation. Even our waiter expressed his displeasure with the NOISE being blasted to every corner. Even though we were sitting in the dining area and the Screecher was in the bar, we were blasted by the NOISE! As for the food and service, it didn’t overcome the NOISE. The Goat Cheese appetizer was a bowl of marinara sauce poured over a small amount of Goat Cheese. Three fourths of the bowl went uneaten, as no one at the table liked it. After almost an hour of waiting for our entrée accompanied by the NOISE, the pizza my wife ordered was wrong. The Hot Brown was okay except for being overwhelmed by the bacon. The waiter apologized for the long wait on the food, excuse being that there was a large party that had over whelmed the kitchen. To bad Franklin doesn’t have more choices.

Tasty food, good service, interesting artwork all around you with restrained music. Prices higher than expected. Walk around outside and enjoy the small town center.

The Brickyard seems to not fit in this country little town called Franklin; however, it pulls it off somehow. The food is here is excellent and always fresh. The chefs seem to take pride in their craft. They offer many Italian dishes and some good American dishes to go along with their modern enviroment. Everyone is pleasant and attentive. I enjoy the Shrimp Pasta whenever I am in town, it is delicious!!! Also try some of their Fruit Tea, it is very tasty.

I would almost move to Franklin, KY just to be near this restaurant! The two times I’ve been there, I have been completely happy with my experience. We happened upon this place one evening we decided to drive up to Kentucky from White House. The restaurant is situated in an old warehouse building just off the square. It used to be a carriage repair shop and when the present owners renovated the building, they found a carriage, which is now hoisted above the main dining room. On Friday nights, an excellent pianist plays a selection of jazz and popular tunes and his music is very fitting for the surroundings. The bar has a great ambiance and you can sit and eat there. Plus this is Kentucky, so they don’t have our new smoking laws. The food is wonderful: uncomplicated Italian with a nice selection of classics, plus steaks and seafood. Try the focaccia appetizer and the chicken alfredo. They also have nightly specials. The bar is well stocked with good wine selection and, because it’s Kentucky, plenty of bourbon. My only problem with this restaurant is that it is not right next to my house.
