Now closed. I liked it but as you see it had mixed reviews. Try the other one or you have many local choices

Have been sitting at the empty bar, after being handed a menu, for 20 minutes. The waitress is hanging at the other end of the bar chatting with a guy and another waitress for all this time. I am very unimpressed.

I was wary to try the restaurant based upon the other reviews being so mixed. I took the plunge and am here to report that the pizzas we had were yummy but the service is definitely scattered. The good news is the delicious gelateria at the end of the block. Treat yourself for dessert there!

I tried it again! And I loved it again! I haven’t been to this Boscos in about a year. The location is really convenient if you work, live, play in Cool Springs, but I don’t so its a little out of the way. But I really like the beers here. We came in around 4:30 on a Monday afternoon so its quiet, so we get the bartender’s full attention which is nice. Last time I was there, I got the steak sandwich and I loved it. Was it a fluke? Could it be as good again? The second or third time is usually a let down, but man, this steak sandwich was as good as the first time. I need to obsess about it for a second. It is served on a nice firm bread that holds up. This is key. The bread is grilled so it has a nice color and texture to it. The steak is thick, but not stringy. It was cooked to perfection so that the sandwich held up all the way through. There is some spicy creamy sauce with little fried onion chips. Dude… I want to wear this sandwich it is so good. And big. This is a big thick cut of steak. With some nice fries that I ignored because I was focused on the steak sandwich. Did I mention how it didn’t fall apart throughout the enjoyment process? The bread was up to the task of keeping this bad boy together. Anyway, I might be special about steak sandwiches, but I know when I like them, and I think they hit it out of the park again. And the beer was good. Service was good. Staff was nice, attentive, happy. Good place.

I had this place for the first time yesterday. The food is really good. I love the bosco burger and the garlic and Parmesan cheese fries.

Young bar staff — couldn’t make a Black and Tan or not sure they wanted to bother — asked about ordering food 10 minutes ago — still no order taken:(- the bar crowd is lite . Never even got to order — just asked for the check.:(

This was my first visit to Bosco’s. Came I’m for Sunday brunch and the restaurant was maybe one third full. Service was slow and not very good. Took me almost 5 minutes to get a refill on my coffee. Server kept talking to some friends who had come in to eat. That seemed more important than taking care of the other people who were there. Had the chicken and andouille hash. What little and we was in there was good but it was mostly potatoes and chicken. Got a taste of the creole seasoning every once in a while but overall was just a very average dish

Disclaimer: When they are not busy, service is far from good. Now that that is out of the way, let’s talk food. Haha well as I write this, they bring out the slackest version of my dish I’ve ever gotten. I ordered the fish sandwich with light blackening and garlic fries. Fries with garlic and cheese(not melted) and a sandwich with no blackening came to the table. Will I was going to say that they are consistent. I’ve never ordered light blackening before, granted. Whew! man and this is terrible. I love shrimp and grits, which is a dish I like to order everywhere I go, and they have some good shrimp and grits here. The problem with the menu is I’m pretty sure they expect you to be a little buzzed by the time you reach to order because the prices are wack and, by wack, I mean wackadoodle crazy. $ 18 for 40 cents worth of grits and some frozen shrimp. They may be able to fool some people, but not this guy. Where do places get the nerve to charge this much for food anyone can whip up at 1⁄10th the price? I will never understand it. Not really a place to recommend unless you are there for alcohol and, if you are, alcohol is pretty much the same everywhere unless you are really a beer snob. Cheers!

This is the first restaurant I checked out when I first moved here. My family got fried artichokes and I got shrimp scampi. Definitely recommend this restaurant and both dishes! Especially the fried artichokes OMG they are so good! My aunt and I live very close by and get the artichokes as a late night snack sometimes. Nice atmosphere! They brew their own beer, couldn’t tell you how it all tastes since I am not 21 yet(2 months!) And the wait isn’t long either! I’ve been there 3 times and counting! Check this place out!

I was such a fan of Boscos a few years back but recently both locations have just been sub par. When I show up I wasn’t to EAT and I want to DRINK! I like to try all of their beers and enjoy that they make them in house. The food is exceptional(when its done right) and the beer is exceptional but the wait staff is not willing to wait on you and the kitchen is so whishy washy on whether they know how to cook that day or not. Wanted to get a burger and Parmesan fries(OMGTHESEFRIES!). The fries were heavenly but my medium burger came out BURNT. It also came out around 30 minutes later. The restaurant was dead as it was late afternoon and I really expect better. When I was finally able to track down our server who God only knows where she was about my burger she was like, oh well we could get you another one. I asked how long it woudl take and she stated probably 20 minutes. AREYOUKIDDINGME? No thanks. Ill take my check! This is on top of the«dinner salad» that my wife ordered. I mean this thing had about 20 leave of field greens and mesculum lettuce and 3 pieces of chicken. If memory serves me right this wonderful salad only cost $ 13. With that being said, I don’t know how many more visits I can take of this sub-par crap! I don’t know if their is different owners/management but they shodul do something quick before they become just another sinking ship!

This place is like an «invasion of the body snatchers» restaurant. It has all the requisite material to be considered a dining establishment, but it’s bereft of substance, has no soul, both the food and the facility are woeful. This was evident in a nearly empty dining room at 6PM. By luck of the draw our server was very pleasant, upbeat, and prompt. The food is profoundly unremarkable. There were five in our party, each entrée was cooked properly and presented well but it was bland and generous in sauce and carbs, the cheap ingredients. It appears meticulously prepared to preserve gross margin, meats were sparse. The floors were filthy, as was the first table our hostess approached, when she saw it she moved to the next booth. The custom booths are poorly made unless you like sitting on the edge of a 1×4 piece of trim in your cushion. On a good note the piped in house music is fabulous; only Drake’s can compete with this soundtrack. And the tea is good. Otherwise you’d be better served with a microwave breakfast at a microtel. Unless the lunch trade is really really brisk watch for ‘For Lease’ signs coming soon.

It’s okay. I’d chose 2.5 stars if I could. The location is nice. But beyond that, there’s little to get excited about. The food is okay. I’ve had the fried-chicken salad, and it’s so so. The chicken has a crusty covering that looks more like a frozen fish stick. I don’t know if it’s frozen or not, but it looks like it came from a big bag of pre-cooked chicken fingers. Pricing is on-par with sit-down pub stuff, but when I consider the mediocre nature of the food, I end up feeling like I overpaid for what i got. Service can be slow and borderline apathetic. In general, the whole place feels like it’s on auto-pilot, and that nobody there really cares. Sad but true.

My fiancé and live near by and wanted to check it out for dinner. The price was waaaay over priced for what you actually got. I ordered the California flat bread and the dough was stale, like it had been reheated after my toppings where simply added to it. Gross. I couldn’t eat it… my fiancé insisted he would, so I reorded the specail for the night that was a blackbean burger(this sounded the best since I’m vegetarian). Our waiter insisted that it was really good. It came our pretty fast and this black bean burger was so gross… definitely a frozen patty of some sort. I’m not going to totally bash this place… my fiancé had really wonderful shrimp and grits, in which he loved. He would definitely go back… but myself on the other hand, would not.

I’ve eaten at the Boscos in Hillsboro Village and now this one. I like the Cool Springs location better. We had better service at this location and the food just tasted like it was fresher and more carefully prepared. I’ll be back for the fried chicken salad. And they have good iced tea too!

This was AWESOME! I was staying in a hotel right across the street so walked over. I felt underdressed for sure but I didn’t let that slow me down. Nobody else seemed to care. I had the black bean tamale(epic!) one night and a cute little pizza the next day. The price was a little high but not a bank-buster. I was really impressed with their(small) selection of micro brews. Now those are priced very well and are al delicious and the price includes tax on the booze. So, the food was 5 stars. The price 4 stars. The serivce was excellent(and they all knew all about and loved their products). Win!

I’ve tried this Boscos for lunch, «business meetings» at happy hour, and for dinner. The beer is a solid 4 stars. The happy hour prices are nothing to write home about, but they’re better than full price. The lunch menu is reasonably priced but the dinner menu feels overpriced. I’ve had their artichoke dip(four stars), the smoked pork chop(one and a half stars and smothered in sugary mass market BBQ sauce), the pizzas(three stars) and the gorgonzola pasta(three stars). On my happy hour visit, the service started out strong but disappeared somewhere. On my most recent dinner visit, our server was friendly, efficient, and attentive. Food runners and server will bring food to you pretty quickly if you’re in a hurry, yet you won’t feel rushed.

This location of Boscos is very much like the Hillsboro Village location. Same menu, same vibe, same beer, same décor, etc. The main difference is that this location only serves their regular menu until 9pm on weekends. I could be mistaken, but I don’t believe the other Boscos does that. The hubs picked me up at the airport, and after a long work week with travel, we decided to hit up Boscos for drinks & dinner. We arrived at maybe 8:20 — he ordered a beer and I ordered a martini. As 8:45 approached, the bartender asked if we wanted to order anything. We weren’t ready yet, and she told us that they stopped serving their regular/full menu at 9pm and only served pizzas after that. I was really looking forward to the shrimp & grits, and when she told me that we just decided to leave. I guess since Franklin location isn’t has hopping as the Hillsboro Village location is, so they kind of close up shop early in a sense. I still like the place, but I’ll just stick to lunch or early happy hour.
