I’ve come here several times because they are close by my house, but yeah I think the service is awful they always manage to make me feel un welcomed. With the things they say and do. I think it’s because I have long hair and they don’t want to deal with it. I’m not sure. I can’t deal with the bad attitude anymore I’m finding some place new

Almost 90% of the hair dressers are amazing. They do such a good job with cutting colouring blow drying everything. However the lady with blonde hair behind the desk is what ABSOLUTELY RUINS this place. She is soooo incredibly the rudest woman ever. I’m pretty sure she’s family otherwise she SHOULD have been fired ALONG time ago. Besides her I love everyone else. My favorite hair dressers are AYFERI, JANET and a few more but I can’t remember there names!

This place is horrible!!! Save yourself the money and go somewhere else. I had a hair trial for my wedding a week ago and they barely did anything to it and charged me $ 55 if fell apart within an hour. I went to Giorgios they were wonderful. I sent all my girls to the palace, they over charged them and hung up on my mother the day of the wedding. They do horrible business!!! They do not know how to treat their customers. It’s disgusting.

I went here twice due to a friends recommendation. This place is awful. They have terrible customer service. The receptionist is rude and very unpleasant to deal with, who essentially told me I was a bad tipper. The hair cut and color were decent, except the fact that I had to wait for such a long time for everything.

I dont really get the bad reviews here. I actually had a very pleasant experience with the palace hair salon, I usually have my own place back in West Hempstead, but got recommended to come here for a minor emergency I had, and I am a well satisfied customer. Prices seemed fair, my hair looked great, its a solid hair salon hands down

I heard of this place from a friend — I am not from Long Island originally so I was on the hunt for a salon. I tried it out 2 years ago and have been going here ever sense. I work In the hospitality industry and recognize hard work. Samantha is a gem– Everytime I leave her chair my hair look magnificent. I get compliments on my hair everywhere I go. Yes you are going to have to wait some time, yes it’s a factory. If you have such high demands go pay $ 200 elsewhere for a cut. You cannot beat the prices here!!! The staff here is great and they work hard ! I love it. The people who wrote negative reviews below me were probably ass holes and therefor were treated like an ass hole.

Hate this place the worst customer service ever. don’t go there the woman at the desk is very mean and obnoxious. never again am I going there she accused me of bouncing a check for previously coloring my hair I told her I don’t get my hair colored there I come for my son’s haircuts I asked to see the check it wasn’t my name or phone number on the check she said that’s because I gave her my friends check. the woman wouldn’t believe me I walked away so angry and aggravated .I hate that place so much!!!

I had a social living coupon that I purchased for my mom. It was suppose to include a 30 minute conditioning treatment. They refused to include it, and rushed through her haircut. Generally the woman uses a curling iron, but due to the fact that we had a coupon she skipped this too! Poor customer service and no bargain at all!

I absolutely hate this place. I went there a couple of times, the last time i ever went I called ahead to get the price on something. I left my house with what they told me it would be and a little extra for tip. Once they were done they charged me 30 dollars more than what i was told on the phone. The person in charge was rude… beyond rude to be exact. I do not recommend this place

THE WORST HAIR SALON !!! Horrible customer service. I took my mom there to get her hair colored and get rid of her grey hairs but nothing was doneee her grey hairs were still there. I told the person in charge there what happened and see if they can fix it and her response was «u need to pay or I’m calling the cops» are effing kidding me !!! Idk why they left a rude nasty person in charge. My poor mom who is a elderly woman had to just go somewhere else to fix it. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON UNLESS U WANT TO DEAL WITH THIER NASTY ATTITUDES !!!

Had an awful experience here. Go to Georgios and/​or DiRosa– they were able to achieve what i wanted before but both were completely booked.
I went to Palace not too long ago and brought in about 10 – 15 people for hair and makeup, giving them some nice business and I live locally. So with a wedding to go to today, I wanted a wash and blow out to give my hair some lasting volume, simple process I’ve had it done numerous times at $ 25 – 35 and achieved great bounce and body. So I called around for pricing and asked on the phone for my extensions to be put in, wash and blow– how much? She says $ 25 – 30. Ok, fine. Booked the appt. Go in and the woman I was scheduled with was running behind so she put me with someone else (after forgetting about me for a few mins and the manager had to ask what I was waiting for.) anyway, so the girl was unable to achieve the volume and bounce with just the blow out so she took out her curling iron and got to curling. Fine– hair came out okay, not what I wanted but close enough. I got to check out and they want $ 65 from me. I argued that I was told on the phone it was $ 25 – 30 with extensions and she starts telling me that I wanted a full head of curls and never mentioned my extensions when I called– I did. I have pin straight hair– I just wanted a blow out to give me some waves and volume. They wound up charging me $ 55 after basically saying I was a liar and didn’t know what I was talking about and giving me the whole «that’s what we charge» answer and claiming that I didn’t understand them. Seemingly they simply Chose not to acknowledge my very clear point that they said it was one price on the phone, were unable to achieve the task (a simple blow out), and then because of the additional work the girl chose to do on my hair I had to pay the difference for her own folly and inability –more than doubling my price without even saying a word to me. The owner even said «well she just spent an hour on your hair»…not my fault. Just because she can’t do a blow out doesn’t mean you can just charge me for the extra time it took her.
They we so rude, not willing to work with me– not even a single apology and the ATTITUDE of the desk lady– unreal. I was very upset– I’m not one who can argue and hate confrontation so I obviously went home and cried but seriously– screw this place.
Go to Georgios and DiRosa. Less of a factory feeling and you know what you’re getting. The guys and girls are super talented and I’ll never waste another minute on Palace again.

Overpriced! The Salon is dirty and disorderly. Had my hair done by Maria who was rude and unfriendly. I have dark hair and asked for highlights. I specifically said I didn’t want them to be too light because I prefer the natural look. They turned out looking anything but natural. She said come back and I’ll fix it for you if you don’t get used to it. After a few days of looking like a zebra, I went back and she charged me full price to fix it. I’m never going back and certainly do not recommend Maria.

It’s not like it used to be… I grew up in the neighborhood and I started going there as a child. Stopped going after the ownership change as the customer service was horrible (went to Georgio’s down the block that have many of the same folks). I was convinced to go back and have Dee cut my hair… she is fantastic! May take time to get an appointment, but she is worth waiting for. I’ve recently moved, but anytime I go back to NY I will be making an appointment for Dee. My wife also goes to her and she could not be happier with her expertise! I give the company 1 star, but Dee 5 stars!!!

I can’t believe the other reviews I’m seeing! Maybe I just got lucky but I had a great experience. I went in for a cut and blow. Called at 10am and got an apt for 330 the same day. Went in and waited for a few minutes. Receptionist wasn’t the friendliest but whatever. Felicity did my hair. She was pleasant and accommodating. I had a picture of what I wanted layer wise and she did an amazing job. I have very long, thick hair so she had her work cut out for her. And it was only $ 30!!! I thought I was going to spend a lot more. I highly recommend Felicity at Palace for a cut and blow. Perfect hair cut!!!

I bought a voucher for a haircut and style, called, and made an appt. for 3 days later. The gentleman on the telephone seemed very nice and also arranged for me to get color for an additional charge. BUT EVERYTHING CHANGED WHEN I SHOWED UP for my appt.
After I asked who would be doing my hair, I was asked to sit in a waiting area. After a few minutes, I noticed that this hairdresser was doing foil highlights on a woman with long hair. I went up to the receptionist and asked if there had been perhaps a booking error, since I knew that foil highlights take some time to do. She stated that this person is really fast, and asked me to sit down again.
After just a few minutes, the hairdresser came over, asked me to go over to the sink for a robe, and (before I could even put on the gown) literally barked at me, «What color do you want?» (Her customer was, of course, still in her chair with foils in her hair.) I indicated that I wanted to have a consultation, and that I had never been to this salon before. I also wanted to discuss how my hair would be cut. She then got extremely nasty and sarcastic, saying «How long a consultation do you want? 15 Minutes? 20 Minutes? 30 Minutes?» I was completely shocked and disgusted – absolutely the worst experience I ever had in any salon.
Of course, i told her I was not staying if she were doing my hair. (I asked for the owner but was told s/​he was not there. I don’t know if the owner is the man I spoke to on the phone.)
The receptionist gave me another hairdresser for my color and cut. I have to add that she (Samantha) seemed perfectly pleasant and competent, as did the shampoo lady (who was also a witness, along with the receptionist) to the abusive tirade I was subjected to. I feel sorry that they have to work in this environment.
P. S. THE HIGHLIGHTS ON THAT CUSTOMER TOOK ALMOST ONE HOUR, just as I thought.

Stay away unless you have a lot of time to spend waiting around. The way they run this place is so over-​the-​top inconsiderate. No matter what day or time you make an appointment, you are going to get bumped by some walk-​in off the street. I stopped going there for this reason. However, against my better judgment, I decided to give it another shot when a friend recommended a hairdresser there. She even advised going on a Tuesday, which is a not so busy day. I had a 2:00 appointment today for haircut and highlights and decided to call before I left the house at 1:40. Asked if they were running on time, because I don’t want to come in and sit waiting, and they said yes, come on in. I arrived at 1:58 and could see that the hairdresser was just finishing up a blow dry. Fine. Had a seat where I could watch this (they’ll try to shuffle you off to where you can’t see), and when she finished up, they drag in another client with a towel on her head, and plop her in the chair! Too much! I immediately complained and the slug behind the counter said, «Whaaaaaat, it’s only gonna be about 15 minutes.» I said, that I’d just called 15 minutes ago and asked if they were running on time precisely for this reason. She rolled her eyes and said «15 minutes???» As if it would actually be 15 minutes. As if it’s ME who is ridiculous and unreasonable. Do… NOT…go…there!

THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! I went there because I know someone who went there to get her hair done (stripped, dyed, and highlighted) and it came out very nice! I had never colored my hair before and I was trusting this place to do a decent job. I went in with a picture and told them that I wanted to go lighter brown and then get highlights (I have very dark hair). They told me not to change the base because it would dry out my hair so I trusted their opinion and said if you can get me the color in the picture without dying the base, that’s fine. The hair dresser just put blonde highlights in my already very very dark brown hair and it came out looking like salt/​pepper or a very faint gray color. I went back, showed the owner the picture that I wanted, which my hair clearly looked nothing like. She had another women take me and change the toner in my hair. This lady put a red toner in my hair to give me a warmer brown and I asked her is this going to turn my hair red? And she said no just that it would give me a «warmer» brown. Well, my hair is now RED! So I asked for light brown hair with highlights and I went from plain BLONDE highlights on my dark hair to now having RED highlights. The owner is completely incompetent. She saw my hair and said that they changed my base entirely and that it looked good (of course she is going to say that). I said how can you say that they changed the base when the stylist herself told me that she was NOT going to change my base cause it would dry out my hair and I would have to have it colored every month. In addition, there is really bad customer service here. I had to wait about 3 hours, not even for highlights but just because the stylist kept taking clients in between me getting toner put in, washed out, etc. I debated going back to have them fix my hair or at least give me a refund (I doubted they would do that) but I’m afraid of what additional damage they might do to my hair. While I was there, there was also another client who started flipping out on her stylist because he would not give her what she wanted, yet kept trying to fix it his way. She was hysterical and crying and I completely sympathize with her. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE. I will never ever go back there and I will speak harshly of this place if anyone that I know is thinking about going there.
