I used to live in the area, but I’ve since moved to Queens. I still come back here to get my shoes shined and repaired. Every time the shoes come out looking brand new and best of all, the owner is extremely honest and doesn’t try to hound you into putting unnecessary money into your shoes.
He just points out what’s wrong with the shoe, shows you, and asks you if you want it fixed.
I haven’t been able to find a comparable cobbler in Queens. Franklin Square is lucky.
