Regency Cleaners

Despite the bad reviews, I decided to take some things that needed dry cleaning, as well as a brand new pair of jeans to be altered here due to the fact that they were open longer hours on the weekend. My clothes that needed to be dry cleaned came out just fine– that is where they get one star. However, my interaction with the seamstress as well as the owner prompts me to warn all DO NOT GO HERE.
I simply wanted a pair of jeans hemmed, but I asked that the original hemmed be moved up (instead of just folding the jeans under and sewing a straight line around the cuff). I went to pick them up the next weekend– when I had planned on wearing them to an event that I was attending, to find out that she did exactly what I asked her NOT to do. I spoke with, who I believe was the owners brother, told him the problem, and he apologized and said she would fix it, as the original hem had not been cut off, just tucked under. He also promised it would be done in a few hours, and gave me a dry cleaning credit for the trouble. So nice. However, when I went back to pick up said (very expensive) pair of jeans, I saw that not only did she NOT use the original hem, but she CUT IT OFF, and re-​sewed them an inch too short. The owner was there when I went to pick them up, and when I complained, he got in my face and told me I was wrong, that I never asked for that service, and if I had, then it would have been too expensive for me anyways. *RUDE*. Needless to say, that dry cleaning credit they gave will be going to waste, as I will never be going there again.

I started going to this location one year ago because my fiancé is from the area and it is the cleaners his family had used. They can clean clothes, but what cleaners can’t? I had dropped off a pair of pants that my fiancé ripped and was told they would be done in 3 days. He went to pick them up and alas the old woman «forgot.» Fine everyone makes mistakes. They said come back in another few days. He goes to pick up his pants and she «didn’t get to it.» Come back in another few days. I went to pick them up and she again «forgot.» It took four times to get the pants fixed! I overlooked this one time incident.
I am getting married in a few weeks, and I bring my sister to get her dress altered because again, its the only place I really know in the area. The old woman (the seamstress) has her try the dress on only to tell her come back when the «other guy» is here. Between 6 – 6:30pm Monday through Thursday or Saturday at 7am. Those are the only times he is there. Why did the «seamstress» have her try the dress on and waste our time if she couldn’t handle it? I call to confirm he will be there, my sister shows up and alas, he «had an emergency.» Again giving these people the benefit of the doubt she goes back another day and he pins her. She needs a simple hem. She picks up her dress and they charge her $ 70 for a hem!!! To top it off I call and ask them to justify this price and the OWNER curses me out and tells me no matter what I tell people he will still kick the competition’s a**, and that I am F*** crazy and then hung up on me. Fantastic customer service after he sneakily overcharged us.
Find a cleaners that will also tailor your clothes for a reasonable price so you don’t end up taken advantage of and yelled at!

do NOT use regency cleaners. they have ruined many of my blouses and dresses. i dropped off a dress recently which had a tiny black dot on it, which i pointed out to them. not only did they not clean the stain, they instead added further stains to it, which appear to be grease from their conveyor system or rails.
in the same order, i dropped off a blouse which had deodorant stains on it. they did not remove the stains, and instead bleached the color out! they have ruined my pieces in ways which i couldn’t even conceive doing myself. and when i pointed out the issues, the owner Ray gave such a horrible attitude, as if their customers don’t provide them their livelihood.
i was their customer for over a year, but because of this horrible service, i’m never going back here again. go to dependable cleaners down the the street instead.
