Maria is awesome!
I come to the salon to get my hair cut & to tan! Maria is always on her toes and the place is clean!
As for tanning the beds/​standup may look older but you tan just as good — no point to spend $ 100+ at fancy salons when you can get the same tan here. Glad I found this little gem!

I live in the neighborhood and needed a hair trim. Maria is one of the most nicest and professional stylists I have met. Very considerate. I read a review that the styles are not the most current this may be true but I have curly hair so there is only so much you can do. If you need a trim. this is the best place to go and reasonably priced.

It’s been three times I go at the time of opening and I wait there 20 – 30 minutes and she doesn’t show. I bought the monthly tanning and she just made me waste a week of it for not being there. I go at those times because I plan out my day around it and by her not being there ruins my plans and a waste of time. If a business says it’s open at a certain time it should be open at that time.

It’s been ages since I got my hair cut. Last it was cut, I was living in Hawaii. I haven’t had a steady place to go to for years. I checked for a place close by on Unilocal and went here with the couple of rave reviews that were listed here. I had a cut done by Maria, and it was an incredibly pleasant and nurturing experience. I had a full foot of hair cut off. Maria asked me just the right questions and had lots of practical low-​cost knowledge to share with me. It felt great not to be up-​sold on anything and to know that Maria truly cared and enjoyed the experience just as much as I did. I gave her a great big hug after the cut and expressed deep gratitude. Felt wonderful. After growing it for some time, my hair had gotten lighter in color, finer and a lot less vibrant. It looks so much better and is gaining its vitality, thickness, vibrant shine and health once again, thanks additionally to some tips from Maria. I’ve been so in the mindframe of minimum $ 40 haircuts and have forgotten there are some places around that can provide just as great a service, if not even more personable and down-​to-​earth for a much more reasonable price. Got exactly what I wanted for $ 25. Also asked how much my husband’s haircut would be — $ 15. Have not heard of prices like that in a while, especially having worked at a couple salon/​spas some years ago. (Can you imagine — $ 50 — $ 80 for a women’s cut… and that was in 1996???) I can’t vouch for shorter and more avant garde styles since that’s not what I’m looking for anymore. I’m sure they’d be happy to consult with you for that as well. For longer, more natural styles I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful experience. (My hair was at my butt and now is at bra-​strap length.) Maria is such a sweet woman. You’ll absolutely love her. Additionally, FYI… I realize everyone’s hair texture and type can be radically different. I’m Filipino-​American with tendency for coarse/​thick really straight hair when it’s shorter (sticks straight up.) If it helps for any similar-​textured hair ladies out there. :)
Also check out the tanning packages. I haven’t experienced them, yet there were a few regulars coming in and out (that Maria mentioned she’s known for years) while I was sitting in the chair. For instance $ 23-​$ 28 (that’s with tax included) for a monthly stand-​up package, depending on the size chamber you go with.
Lastly, bring cash! ;)

Never got my hair cut here but i got the unlimited tanning for a month in the stand up for like 20 bucks. good deal the beds arent the best but they do the job and are clean.
The two woman there are very nice i believe their mother and daughter even though im not in that area too much anymore if i ever am i will forsure go back.

Still loving Maria! She listens to what you want and will tell you if a cut will work with your hair, lifestyle, etc. She works 6 days a week, has great hours and will get you in just about any time you need!
She has several tanning beds, if you are into that and tons of great hair and body products. Manis and pedis are also available, but do call ahead for those services.
