Franklin Park Public Library District

This library has one of best movie and foreign language movies lists. Other than that it is a noisy odd looking library and seating for labtops is awful. It is a decent sized library but no real private areas. No real windows tso it does have a private feel. Only reason for four stars.

This library is very nice. There is ample parking. The doors are the type that slide open which is great when you have a ton of books, a baby stroller, and other kids running around. They have a wide selection of all types of items. Also they have many computers for the public to use and printers.
Additionally, they have a digital media lab so if you are interested in making your own video, music tape, etc… they have all the equipment necessary. Not many libraries have that. Also they have a phenomenal selection of online programs. like Tumblebooks for kids… and they also have this Universal Classroom program where you can take any class online for free.
Finally, they have an ongoing booksale shelf where you can find really good books for only $ 1.00. The shelves are constantly replenished and the proceeds go to the library.
I highly recommend this library.

This library is unlike any of the ones you will find in the city. It is spacious, well kept and well staffed. It is part of a library network, so if they do not have the item you are looking for, they will get it for you from a sibling library.
The DVD collection is frequently updated and I am often able to get a new release way quicker than I would from Netflix. I love the fact that you can search the library’s database and maintain your account online. I am one of those people who feel lost and confused walking into a library (so many choices!), so helping me narrow down what I want online is great.
The library has quite a few computers available. It is also Wi-​Fi ready, so you can bring your laptop and click away.
