I already said all the good things in my last review this is just about the banners hanging up. Thank you Franklin Park Ice Arena for putting our banners up for everyone to see! It really means a lot to most of the players including me! Now everything is great!

SMOOTHESTICEEVER! Friendly people, very reasonable rate for public skate. If you go in the middle of the day, you practically have the ice to yourself. :)

Such a great place to play hockey! The ice is very nice and all the coaches are helpful and motivate you to work harder which is how I have gotten a lot better over the years. The only problem I have is, why do you have to take down our banners that we won? I mean everyone works really hard to get those and it makes the arena look better with them up there. But anyway I always like playing there and I’m sure the rest of my team does too!

Since visiting this ice arena a long time ago, the place got a total renovation in the main rink. We came here on a Sunday morning for a speedskating competition. Racing requires smooth ice, devoid of grooves and bumps that often happen from poor grooming and hockey action. Fortunately, this ice was smooth and clean for the duration of the race. It was FAST ice too, which showed in the results of the skaters. What else to like about the rink? The bleachers are not like an arctic tundra like some of the«old barn» ice rinks built around the same time as this arena was. The upper part is downright warm thanks to the upper heating duct running through overhead. In the lobby, there is plenty of room to sit around between races. There’s also a concession stand with bagel dogs, nachos and more. Makes a day at the races a pleasant experience. Kudos to Franklin Park for hosting a great race.

This skating rink was harder to find than I anticipated. Unfortunately for us… we went by the information that they provided on their website. The rink was closed to the public for a private competition. Be sure to phone first before making plans.

A great offering of instructional ice skating, instructional hockey through competitive figure skating and hockey teams — this place has it all. My daughter has been begging to play hockey and I was thrilled at the number of girls there with her and the options available to hockey playing girls. Everyone is super nice and helpful. My only complaint would be that the open skating times are a bit pricey at $ 5 a person. However, my daughter had a blast and I would recommend it to anyone… the pro shop inside is kind of lacking though.
