This & That Gifts

During my small business Saturday trip I stopped in here to find a lot of products that my sister would like. Seeing as it’s her birthday in a few days, it was a good surprise.
Prices seemed reasonable. The only issue I had is, as I walked around, one of the, I’m guessing, owners seemed to be following me around. It made me slightly uncomfortable. I wasn’t sure if she was afraid I would break something, going to steal, or going to make a mess!
When I went to check out, the two ladies at the counter weren’t exactly friendly. They both seemed distracted and when I tried to make reasonable small talk, not being overly friendly or anything, just saying I was new to the area and my sister would love the store. They didn’t respond and just handed me my receipt and bag. No «thank you» or «have a nice day» or anything. I can understand being busy, I’ve worked retail before. I just think politeness goes a long way.
To top it off, they forgot to put something in my bag that I had bought. Luckily the one woman was nice enough to track me down and give it to me. That was at least a kind gesture.
I’m going to chalk it up to stressful day and I will visit again in the future.

This is a cute little gift type store. My wife and I stopped in today to look around while we were in downtown Frankfort. They have very friendly service and lots of really cute gift ideas.
