Best bakery around!

The bakery helped me pull off a miracle and made 30 cookies for my son’s birthday with less than 2 days notice. In lieu of goody bags, we were going to hand out these cookies that I paid 25 cents each extra to have individually wrapped.
First, the cookies tasted FANTASTIC and were very nicely decorated, but were waaaay smaller than I expected, especially for the price. Because they were so small, I scrambled to put together traditional goody bags and slipped the cookies inside along with other things. :-(
I will be back to try some of their other goodies but had I known the size of the cookies, I probably would’ve opted to get them from somewhere else where they are larger and priced comparably.

I’m wrong a lot. The one thing I’ve gotten better at over the years. Admitting it! I was so wrong about this bakery. I’m really glad that I’ve gone back 3 times now and given it a shot.
I was on the hunt for a specific cupcake and someone recommended I go here. I was leery but desperate. I went in and spoke with the owner and her mother and they put my mind at ease.
They will pretty much bake anything you want! Did you see something on Pinterest? Just tell them. These ladies will make it happen. I was given a sample of their buttercream frosting and it was amazing.
I promised to take pics of the cupcakes they made me but alcohol consumption took place and I have no pics. Everything turned out beautifully and they were the cheapest quote I received.
I’ve also given the cookies and other assorted treats another shot and those were all amazing as well. I especially love the biscotti.
This is without a doubt my new bakery in the suburbs! I may not even need to take trips into the city anymore!

I had mixed feelings about this bakery. No one in the area had heard of them, however the photos they posted were perfect for what I was looking for. At the beginning there was a lot of attention to emailing back and forth. There was a small issue of no contact after I had placed my order and paid for it, which made me nervous. Some how my emails went to their spam folder even though they were responses to previous emails. Other than that, Vicki was very easy to work with and very polite. Offering up suggestions for my cake that I would not have even thought and the pricing was better than I expected.
I had a gender reveal party last weekend and the cake was amazing! It was exactly what I was looking for in terms of color and design. The inside was dyed perfectly blue for my boy. It was a very easy indicator. I appreciate all the hard work and time all of them put into the design and creation of the cake for our momentous day.

We had a Chicago Blackhawks wedding theme and chose this bakery that was brand new at the time to see our vision. They did such a beautiful job and even put all the names of the wedding party on it. So delicious and many compliments from the guests. You guys are awesome and I recommend you to everyone!

This place in incredible! Very friendly and there work is impeccable! I went in with an idea and they did exactly what I wanted and more!

They just started making fresh bread and it is darn good! Cakes and sweets have always impressed. The staff is friendly and helpful and seemingly willing to take requests!

Every time I drove by this place, it has always been closed. Finally saw the open sign lit up so we decided to stop in and see what they had. The display case was almost empty but they had cupcakes in back that needed to be frosted. So we waited for those.
The cupcakes were cute. Nothing special. When we got home my daughter couldn’t wait to eat it. But the cupcakes were so dry, dense and heavy! I’ve had muffins that were lighter. The buttercream was wayyyyy to buttery, kinda gross really. We didn’t finish the cupcakes.
The brownie that we bought was also so heavy and like a brick. Maybe it was just this day we stopped in considering all the great reviews. But they might need to rethink their recipes.
Unfortunately we will not be going back there.

Rick Warman recommended I try Sweet Dreams chocolate chip cookies, which I did. They were okay, but the lemon bars are superb. Just ordered 10 for a Family Christmas get together. Also sampled the made on site cheese and Carmel corn, yummy. Have yet to get a cupcake, but plan to in the future. Totally addicted to the lemon bars, Lee Schneider

Got a pumpkin pie for thanksgiving. Staff was very nice and pie was ver good, excellent crust. They had a lot of other options in there as well. Will be back.

Love, love, love the cake I ordered. Not only was it a huge hit, but visiting the bakery with my God daughter was awesome. Vicky and her staff were so friendly and informative. Everything we tasted was amazing. Still definitely be using them for my next event!

I ordered a custom (adult) cake for a bachelorette party and it was perfection! The design was amazing, along with the taste. The cake was the hit/​centerpiece of the party. The staff was very friendly as well! Custom cakes are a good amount of money, but they turn out wonderfully at Sweet Dreams Bakery!

The cupcakes I got today were somewhat dense and dry. I prefer more moist and a more fluffy cake batter. The flavorings were spot on such as the salted caramel, peanut butter, etc. and decorated playfully. Next time, I’ll give their other products a try.

Red Velvet cupcakes are to die for! Got some today but noticed the presentation wasn’t like it usually is. The icing was scooped on like a scoop of ice cream. Usually it is swirled in a nice pattern. Nonetheless, cupcakes are still great!

Screw the cupcakes, I swear, are people willing to try anything else? Anyway, I was very impressed with the white chocolate cheesecake and chocolate pie I ordered. The cheesecake had among the lightest, softest texture I’ve ever came across on a cheesecake and it tasted like heaven! The chocolate silk pie too was above average as the whipped topping and chocolate was of high quality and the taste was amazing! Prices were cheap as my total was under $ 30 and service was very personable and professional.

Their cupcakes are the best and the most reasonable when compared with other cupcake stores. I have to say that I love the Hummingbird, it has banana and pineapple in the batter and coconut frosting. My daughter loved the Oreo cupcake. Their breakfast fare, donuts, turnovers, etc. are average. Their cookies and bread are very good. All of the items in the cases up front are reasonably prices and I have always had a pleasant experience with the people working the counter. Definitely worth checking them out if you haven’t done so already!

Sweet Dreams Cakes put together 25 complimentary sampler boxes for the Little Black Dress Club Chicago Southland’s event, «Witches Brew and Treats.» Each box included a sugar cookie decorated with a pink ribbon (in honor or breast cancer month), a turnover, a caramel, a kolache and a piece of spice bread. They were all fabulous! The bakery wrapped each box with a black and pink ribbon, which was not requested but a nice touch. Sweet Dreams Cakes went above and beyond my expectations and I would highly recommend this bakery.

Well… I have a split vote.
I loved the salted caramel cupcake, but you guys fell short on the red velvet birthday cake… very dry & bland. And I’m not a big fan of fondant.
If you are willing to improve, I’ll share my recipe for red velvet cake with you!

Sweet Dreams Cakes & Bakery just made a fabulous cake for my son’s football themed first birthday party. They brought my vision to life and our guests couldn’t stop raving about how delicious it was — even the fondant! What a great addition to the Frankfort community. Would highly recommend!
