Shoup’s catered our wedding this summer on the hottest day of the year (thus far). We began working with Cindy Shoup about 3 months before our wedding to decide on the major details and timeline. From the moment we sat down with her, we knew that she truly cared about our special day. She offered up her expert advice as well as her personal experiences so that our day would go smoothly. Everything she offered was tailored towards our event, and not just events in general which made us feel more comfortable. It was easy to feel the «family» part of the family business because of the meetings we had with Cindy.
Once the big day came, everything seemed to come together as we had been planning for a while. The only thing we did not plan for, was an EXTREMELY hot day. It was 102, but you could not tell by looking at each Shoup’s employee. Everyone was smiling, laughing, working hard, and overall, just having a good time with what they were doing. The lady that brough the flowers ensured they were in a safe place, and looked perfect. The people running the bar made sure to introduce themselves and make sure everything looked as it should. Once dinner began, we realized exactly how much Shoup’s had done to make our day special. The food was perfect, the people were incredibly nice, and the presentaiton was phenomenal.
Our special day was made extra special because of the hard work that Shoup’s put into it. Cindy was amazing at helping plan our event, and really made it personal. Each and every person that worked on that incredibly hot day made it feel like a massive family event and less like a formal event with vendors and guest. My wife and I can not think of enough nice things to say about Shoup’s to describe how great they were, but hopefully this was a taste of what they did for us. They are the definition of a «family owned» business, and it shows.
