A more or less traditional Mexican restaurant overwhelmed by the biker crowd. Apparently every Monday is bike week in downtown Frankfort. Though our table’s order came out a bit criss crossed, the food was all round good, and the waitress offered to have the two dishes rebuilt. The portions were very generous. The fajita«parello»(a four mest version that included cherizo) was both very tasty and enough for two people. A dish that the table described as a deconstructed chili relleno was particularly nice, with chicken and sauce resting on top of roasted pablano peppers. The rice and beans were exactly that. The margaritas did leave a bit to be desired as they tasted no better than lightly spiked limeaid, only sweater. A beer would have been a better plan. Frankfort has 6 or 7 casual dining Mexican restaurants, and this is not the best. Fortunately, it is among the three or four with some creative menu options that stretch beyond the standard Tex-Mex. I do recommend it for being what it is and not overtrying. There is even outdoor seating if you need more than spicy food to make you sweat. Eat well; Tip well.

Had the privilege of eating lunch there yesterday. Best fajita toco salad I ever ate! We drove from Wolfe County and will make the trip again just to eat there. Lovely city!

Best Mexican place in frankfort! By far the best! I love their pollo margaretta! It’s like italian Mexican fusion! In the summer sit outside and have a margarita! My girlfriend and I can split the single mixed fajitas and both be stuffed!

Every once in awhile the food is good, but you have to aak for somethings fresh and not microwaved. Today I went in to have my favorite adult beverage its beer mixed with bloody mary mix and it wasn’t like it usually tast, so I told them I didn’t like it, wasn’t the same mix i advised(this was the owner) he advised who was going to pay for this(of course he didn’t ask me if i would like something else). When i asked to see the mixs, he couldn’t show it to me because it wasn’t the same. Will not go back there again. The management at there Versailles Rd, drinks are always great and the food and service is great. Thumbs down to the downtown one.

A great happy hour spot, with outdoor seating and fantastic margaritas(whether you like them frozen or on the rocks). They get 5-stars from me for the margaritas alone. They’re delicious and they’re strong — and a bargain at $ 3.99. The salsa is fresh and tasty, though not always consistent(sometimes it’s hotter than other times, or has more cilantro than the visit before, but I’ve always loved it). The food is standard Mexican fare. Fajitas are served on a sizzling griddle, the refried beans have cheese on top, etc. The food is always good… but I come for the margaritas. Don’t judge. ;) And the location is perfect. It’s right on St. Clair Street, in downtown Frankfort, near the Old Capital.

I have enjoyed a few meals here. The service has always been nice and the food has been served quick, fresh, and warm. This is the exact kind of Mexican food one would expect to find in the area. Many of the same items on the menu as most Mexican restaurants with decent prices and specials on alcoholic drinks with entertainment and plenty of seating. I live nearby and I walk past the place and see it so full it is out the door and the workers are busy trying to take care of all their customers. I give it three stars because I feel the food is too average. The refried beans taste better than some other places and actually taste kind of like a bean, but everything else is just average. I like my Mexican to have more flavor with a bit of a kick loaded with cilantro and veggies.

Thank goodness that downtown Frankfort finally got another food option! The food is reasonably priced and the portions are a fine size. The lunch specials run about $ 6 plus a drink. The restraurant is usually very clean, the staff is nice and prompt(my drink is never empty!), and it’s a quick sit-down option. The salsa is pretty tasty, and my food is typically pretty good. I’ve had a few issues of soggy burritos and tacos the past couple times I’ve been(ick) but everything else was fine. I hear their margaritas and sangria are good.

Salsa is quite good! Less than average food, my husbands chimichanga was about the size of a deck of cards! However: the Margarita special for $ 3.99 on Saturday was nice, that drink was stout! TVs had football playing. Way better Mexican restaurants in Frankfort, but the drinks cannot be beat especially on a Saturday night!

Super nice staff, fast service, good food(and salsa), free WiFi, and downtown. Too good to be true, but it is!
