Best tasting pizza in town. If you love homemade pizzas you can’t beat this place! The service is great and very reasonably priced. Pictures on the walls give a very comforting atmosphere.

Great experience! We are from STL and tried to go to Rocks White Light Dinero but they were closed. After talking to the friendly staff there they suggested 2 places and one was Buddy’s. The staff was amazingly friendly! Pizza was fantastic! We will be stopping next time we are in town. Had the Big Bear –yummm!!!

Pizza is the BOMB! Yeah, I said the BOMB. This a local place and adorably has pictures of dogs on the wall. We ordered the large meathead pizza and it did not disappoint. We stopped in on Trivia night and the crowd seemed to be having a great time. The staff was accommodating and welcomed us to join in. Again, the pizza is delicious. If you are in Frankfort you should totally stop in and have a slice.

Four of us shared two small pizzas. Their small is 12″. One pizza was veggie and one was«build your own». Both were tasty — thin crust with a nice char. Sausage was flavorful compared to some pizza joints that use sausage that has no taste. Veggies were fresh too. Good beer selection. Local, neighborhood place that we will go back to again.

Buddy’s gives you the most bang for your buck when it’s lunchtime in Frankfort. For under $ 5, you get an enormous slice of pizza(completely fills 2 paper plates, which is how they serve it) and a drink. For under $ 7, you can add a salad to your lunch. The pizza is on thin crust, and it’s huge, so I always fold it in half to eat it. They only get 3 stars from me because I’m not a huge fan of the crust and the pizza is extremely greasy — I always blot off the grease with a napkin, and sometimes use 2. It’s a divey sort of place, but fun. There are pictures of people’s pets on the walls, and also art by local artists and school children. The counter always has posters & postcards announcing upcoming Frankfort events. They sell Buddy’s t-shirts that say«very local» on them. I’m not really sure what sets a «very» local place apart from a local place, but I won’t argue with their claim. They do seem to go out of their way to represent the community. They’re super busy at lunch, but usually quick. That’s greatly appreciated since I love downtown Frankfort & usually have time on my lunch break to eat at Buddy’s and then walk around the old Capitol or pop into Poor Richard’s Books. I often even have time to stop by Coffeetree Café for a latte and a cookie(once you’ve eaten pizza, may as well splurge on a cookie too…).

Very good pizza. A veggie Paired with the Squirrelly Belgian Ale was a good choice. Atmosphere is quaint and rustic. Just adds to the flavor of the place. Definitely going to be back here for the lunch slice.

Very unimpressed and disappointed. So gross I only ate one slice. I’ll never go back which is sad because Frankfort need more good local restaurants.

Been here many times great place good food cozy atmosphere. Love the large pizza for the family it’s around $ 21 bucks plus drinks for everyone to get some za. Just remember if you get one of these bad boys to go the box is huge! It may not fit in your car without turning it sideways…

I stopped at Buddy’s after an out-of-town training. The ladies across the street highly recommended it, especially if one likes pizza. I walked into an empty room and up to the bar where I placed my order. I loved the many photos of dogs they had decorating the walls. The girl there was semi-friendly and waited on me, but as I ordered my beer, I asked her if I should wait for it at the bar or if she would bring it out to me and she said«that’s up to you…» I decided to find my table and then heard her turn around to the chef and say, «well that was awkward». I was never rude or unpleasant to this girl and I know she didn’t mean for me to hear her but I honestly could not focus on the quality of the pizza or the atmosphere without feeling insecure about being there. To me, that is terrible customer service. On the other hand, pizza was great(I took it home) and the beer selection was good-looking too.

I eat pizza everywhere… most are not memorable and not even worth a review. Buddy’s IS memorable and worth the time to review so I will. My wife and I ate on a slow saturday afternoon and were the only ones in the dining room. Our pie was made quickly and was delicious! The toppings were plentiful, the sauce excellent with just the right amount of spice and the crust among the best I’ve eaten. Plus a great selection of beer… what’s not to like about all that? We live on Long Island and when we return in the fall to resume our Bourbon quest we will eat here again.

I went for the first time for lunch and had the slice and a drink. At just over 4 bucks, it was worth every penny.

Best pizza in town. Period. Sandwiches are also killer. They have a good craft beer selection.

Pizza is all I have tried. Crust is thin in the middle with a thicker edge. Crust is soft. I think it could use a little more salt. A little too much sauce for me, I order light sauce. The cheese is not greasy, but not memorable either. All in all though, it’s good, cheap and fast. Heats up well the next day.

My in-laws love this place but I can’t stand it. Basically you pick up a slice and the crust disintegrates in your hands and you’re left with a handful of toppings. The toppings do seem fresh though. I recommend just rolling their pizzas into burritos and eating them that way.

My favorite place in Frankfort for pizza. This place has a unique feel to it. Lots of art from local artists for sale and one wall dedicated to customers dogs. The slice of the day with a drink runs you about 5 bucks. Docked a star because some items take a while to get, like the calzones. But as far as taste goes this place is 5 stars.

Nice place. One of the few places open past 7PM in downtown Frankfort. I had the pesto chicken sandwich so I can’t speak for the pizza. The sandwich was good.

In town for a wedding and this was only one of a small handful of places open in downtown Frankfort for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Got a hot chicken/pesto sub and chips for about $ 7. Nothing fancy, but good food. Seems to be a small«hippie» pizza joint. I liked all of the photos of dogs provided by their customers on the wall. Will try the pizza if I’m in town again(doubtful).
