Visited for the first time today with a coworker and was very impressed. I had the borscht with a salad potato knish and threw in some cole slaw. Coworker had a lean corn beef sandwich and chicken noodle soup. The soups and the sandwich were great. Very fresh and we had great table service. Prices are very affordable and the meal cost us only 20 something dollars. Other patrons were enjoying freak breakfast options during lunch as well

A sandwich, a side of chips, a can soda, and an iced coffee for $ 15 something which isn’t THAT bad, but I mean, the service sucks. There was an older lady with dark hair and she was a sweetheart. The younger blonde and the owner of the shop, not so friendly and rude. I get it, it’s business, but my OWN clients even warned me, but I bit the bullet and should’ve listened. The sandwich itself was OK. The place could be a bit cleaner. Overall, it was a bad experience for me.

All right, so I’m from New York; I know my delis. I was really excited to try one closer to where I live now. Sure, they’re almost never really Kosher(various pork products on the menu), but as I’m not Orthodox, I had high hopes. I was seated quickly; the waitress seemed nice. I ordered a half chopped liver sandwich, matzo ball soup, and a nice plate of sour pickles as well as an egg cream. Now, for those of you reading along who aren’t Jewish, an egg cream has neither egg nor cream. All it is is chocolate syrup and soda. I’m fairly sure mine had milk. I stopped drinking it as soon as I realized; mixing meat and milk is not something we do. The matzo ball soup was good, but strange; it seemed more like a beef noodle than anything, with a matzo ball(small, strangely gooey) in it. The pickles, however, are another story, and are why I’m posting this review. I was told they had«real New York sour pickles». I asked for them, and the waitress was surprised. She asked if I was sure. I said yes, of course, real pickles are hard to find. I got a whole plate of them. Real New York pickles are sour, garlicky, savory delights. One of my favorite things in the world. These were soaked in vinegar strong enough to take the roof off your mouth, and something that tasted like lemon? It was as though someone had tried to make pickles in Pine Sol. This is the kicker. Up till now, I’d had very good service. The owner LAUGHED at me while I was eating. «You like those pickles? They’re disgusting? No one gets them!» I can see why. I left a good tip for my waitress, but I’m not coming back.

I stood by the register for a solid 3 min before anyone acknowledged me. Two employees were within 10 feet of me; neither appeared to be busy. I was about to leave when the woman behind the counter looked at me and yelled a man’s name in the direction of the kitchen behind her. Between chews of whatever she was eating, she asked if she could help me, even though it did not seem to be her turn to do so. I asked this team player what kinds of spreads were available. Veggie, plain, and chive. She seemed annoyed. Everything bagel lightly toasted with chive. I tried to move a little faster, hoping to hasten an end to the interaction. Again she yelled to the kitchen. The young man, who did appear to be busy, received her instructions, which did not include any specification of my preferred degree of toasting. She looked back at me, «that’ll be a few minutes.» Ok. I tried to move my feet and noticed I was standing on the stickiest carpet you can imagine. The bagel was cheap, under 2 dollars. I felt like I should wash the bottoms of my shoes before stepping back into the parking lot. I was sure I tracked something out. The bagel was good. The best I’ve had in metro west boston in quite a while. Newton doesn’t count. There was a generous but not ridiculous amount of chive cream cheese, and the toppings were burned but not inedible. I didn’t get sick.

Terrible! This is NOT a good quality deli. To begin, the atmosphere is dark and looks dirty. The gentleman who served me wasn’t too friendly but I wouldn’t say he was rude. I ordered a sandwich from their menu online and I paid over $ 4 more than it was listed at. Turkey was full of FAT and it was clear they literally threw it together since it was falling apart. Wishing I had gone to Subway instead.

I love this place. My favorites are rachel and reuben sandwiches with french fries. I always order a piece of kugel for take-out. I prefer the regular kugel with apple sauce over the fruit kugel. Just my personal preference. I always want to try other types of sandwiches but the rachel and reuben are so nice I don’t even want to «cheat» on my favorite sandwiches. When I moved from Texas, which was about a year ago, I discovered this restaurant and I thought moving to Massachusattes was actually a good decision because getting a decent reuben is just impossible in Texas.

Went for breakfast on Sunday. Ordered corned beef hash and scrambled eggs with home fries and onion bagel and cream cheese. The corned beef was unrecognizable and tasted like a mix of cabbage, carrots and bits of meat. The eggs were in itty bitty pieces. The staff was nice and the place was crowded but I won’t be back. I wanted to like it but it was a huge disappointment.

Quite possibly the worst customer service ever from the woman with the glasses behind the counter. She is miserable and rude. Definitely not going back!

This deli has a rather tacky and uncomfortable interior. On a Saturday morning I was refused a single table because I was alone. Other lone diners were given tables. The waitresses were rude, full of attitude, and one slammed my coffee down on the table — even though I never argued with them. Poached eggs were sloppy, unattractive. Corned beef hash was unbelievably dry and had an unpleasant taste. In sum, bad food and bad service. There are a lot of other options in the area. This one is really worth missing!

Kugel’s is everything I miss about Boca Raton. Which is good, because in general I don’t miss much about Florida. Now if only I can fine some acceptable Cuban coffee and a good Cubano, I’d have it all. Seriously though, need a good Jewish deli with solid breakfast and lunch and bagels and lox and bialys and half sours? You found it. You’re welcome.

Unfortunately, I never got the opportunity to try the food here. I have a newly discovered gluten sensitivity, which sucks because I love stuff that happens to have gluten in it. I called to ask if they had gluten free bread, and the guy who answered the phone was very rude to me. From a certain standpoint, I can understand the frustration in answering this question. There is a negative cultural connotation to diet restrictions. I don’t care that they didn’t have gluten free bread, I just wish he wasn’t so damn rude. It makes it tough and embarrassing to ask these questions. After answering with a very rude and condescending«no», he hung up the phone instead of suggesting possible alternatives such as a salad. Seems from other reviews on here they(or, possibly just the owner?) have a history of being rude to customers. Why give your business to someone rude when you can get good service somewhere else? They lost out on a good amount of business, because I was calling on behalf of more than just myself.

This year, one of my goals is to try at least one new restaurant every month. My good friend lived in the Sovereign apartments across the way from this deli for almost 3 years now and he has never been there. I haven’t either and after finishing an early morning errand, I figured I would do a kind deed and surprise my friend with breakfast for us to share. I park in the decently plowed lot and when I walk inside, I’m pleasantly surprised to see how many tables were full at 10:30am on a snowy Sunday. It shocked me at first how the place was designed more for sitting down than for takeout orders. So it took me some guidance to realize that I had to grab a menu from the concealed register and order from the guy at the counter. I ordered Challah French Toast, Blintzes and 2 orders of home fries, after learning the dishes I ordered do not come with them. It was about a 15 minute wait with nowhere to really sit down, without taking away a table from a potential customer, which felt a little awkward being the only one ordering takeout. He then proceeded to pack and stack 4 Styrofoam boxes into 1 plastic bag… I thought that was a bit excessive, especially with the home fries on top… with extra juices sloshing around… I’m so glad it didn’t spill in my car. But there was appropriate silverware provided and he went to the back to get me sour cream and applesauce for the blintzes. The potatoes smelled heavenly! I brought it over and we dived in. The side of home fries is HUGE, one side can easily feed two. And they tasted even better than their heavenly aroma. The blintzes were delicious as well although I was thrown off by the lemon flavor within the cheese. I was always used to more of a savory creamy cheese blend inside, not sweet, so it threw me off. But once I added the sour cream, it was divine. The Challah French Toast, my friend really enjoyed it but I thought it was just meh, typical, standard, run of the mill French toast at cheap diners, I doubt Challah bread was actually used. I personally wouldn’t order that dish again. This place is definitely a viable breakfast option in Metrowest. If I was to order takeout, I would automatically order ahead now. I think there might be some charm with dining in, so that will have to take place in the future. But it isn’t my favorite place for breakfast in Framingham, J&M Diner still holds that title.

The had very few bagel choices, go figure that it a bagel shop, how can you not have all the standard flavors??? The waitress kept bumping into me as I waited to pay and she made more noise barking questions and requests into the kitchen good luck and good night

A small and casual restaurant on the back side of a strip mall plaza on Rt9. You’d never know it was here if you weren’t looking for it. And its hiding a gem of a sandwich. When I say the setting is casual, I mean it. This is the kind of place where the regular patrons, seemingly all of them, call out and harass their favorite waitress. Who also give back as good as they get. And that sandwich, it is a classic, Corned Beef on Rye. A razor sliced heaping helping of fine corned beef, run through with ribbons of whisper thin rich fat, making the addition of cheese on this sandwich unnecessary and unneeded. Just a hit of a hot deli mustard, spread about on the marble of caraway and rye. Wrap it up, pickle on the side, could not be made better. A-double+ Sandwich.

Breakfast review Had high hopes for a good breakfast based on previous reviews but was not impressed. Waitress was no frills no smiles… just sit and order. Their hollandaise is fake sauce(aka comes from a can, yuck!) potatoes were greasy/oily and word grey color(see pix) and didn’t really care for omelette which had veggies in it but were cut way too large. The toast and grilled bagel were good but that was about it.

Kugel’s Deli is located right off of route 9, just a couple of minutes away from downtown Framingham and serves up some pretty authentic NY deli-style fare at a pretty affordable price. I’ve been there a couple of times and both experiences have been positive. My go-to sandwich is and always will be the corned beef sandwich on white bread(I don’t like rye bread) with some deli mustard. But they have a ton of other items for breakfast and lunch including all kinds of egg dishes like omelets and sandwiches as well as pancakes, sandwiches, wraps, soups and many more things. There’s staples like noodle kugels, pastrami, corned beef and even latkes, kishke, knishes and liver & onions. All of the classics are covered, and they even have lunch specials Monday through Thursday. I don’t believe that I’ve seen anything priced above $ 10 there and the quality and value are great, which makes this place pretty damn awesome. Everytime I’ve been there, I also haven’t been able to resist taking some of their fresh bagels to go. The place is clean, the staff is friendly however it’s also been hit or miss. They do hire local teens to help out and the service at times hasn’t always been as good as one could have hoped; lack of menu knowledge especially but it’s no big deal. This, alongside Michael’s Deli in Brookline could very well be the best two delis in Massachusetts. I’m a fan and will return, hopefully sooner rather than later. Oh and did I mention that they have Montréal smoked meat sandwiches? Awesome.
