One of the best breakfast options in the Pottsville area. 20 minute drive, but well worth it! Never had to wait for a seat, plenty of parking, service is good, the price is right, and the breakfasts are quite tasty! The country store isn’t really for me, but there are always people in there browsing. On a nice day you can take your coffee outside and sit in one of their rocking chairs on the covered deck. You can even buy one of these rocking chairs here! The only gripe I have is how overwhelming the menu is. Several pages just for breakfast! I’ve found it easier to just tell the server what I want and let them pick which breakfast I should order. Note: if your server has 4 stars, she is TOP notch and passed all the CB tests! The more stars you get, the more of a discount you get on your food too. Not a bad deal for employees.

Had dinner. Ordered a steak medium, with two sides. It came to us bleeding. Could not stay due to time constraints, so manager took off 3 bucks… Thought I would at least get it free. Jesh. Had to pitch steak. Not happy.

I think the food was good. the waiters are very young and they need training. In the best time of the day they look disoriented. Food is good but nothing to die for it. Place is over stuff with stuff on the walls and every wear this is overwhelming but some people find this attractive. I go back once in a while when I am in the area.

Cracker Barrel is one of my husband and I’s favorite place to eat while traveling. Friendly service here and great food.

I have been to other Cracker Barrel restaurants in the South and found them quite good. There is a family atmosphere that makes you feel like you are visiting your friend’s house for dinner. This particular Cracker Barrel was very friendly and all the waitresses and staff were happy and smiling. Each person greeted me with a smile and a sincere«How are you today?» The food is always hot and fresh. I had the meatloaf with gravy with mashed potatoes. We call this type of food back home«comfort food.» Excellent food and service every time. If you are on Route 81 in PA stop in to this restaurant for a real home cooked meal. I enjoyed my time in the restaurant and I was never rushed. I’m sure you will enjoy the food and service as much as I did.

As we were heading down the open highway on a BMW with nothing but storm clouds ahead and weather alerts on the radio, we figured it was time to stop and eat before we were punished by mother nature. I got the Friday special, turkey. Delicious. It hit the spot and helped prepare me to be wet for the next couple of hours on the bike.

More food than one should eat all at once. Good quality wholesome food. I didn’t have meat as it is not certified humanely raised

Cracker Barrel always consistent always friendly can always find something on the menu to appease the appetite. Today was Maine Wild Blueberry Pancakes with Blueberry syrup. Our waitress Leslie did an excellent job and was very attentive. The coffee was always hot fresh and filled!

The cornbread was Good as always. The catfish was delish too! The meal of 4 sides was just what my guest wanted and it was perfect. As for my disappointment-the restrooms were in bad Shaw and needed some urgent cleaning. I was really shocked by the poor condition

I like their lite menu, it lists a number of items with less than 500 calories. Service was great, as was the food.

Gotta love the ambience that this restaurant has. I personally think that the best time to eat here is during breakfast or lunch. The last thing I had here was a chef salad, and wooooooooo it was pretty nice. Also, that’s not the only thing good about this place, it also has a really nice gift shop! It’s pretty great for Christmas gifts for your family, friends, and their kids. It’s really, really suhweet.

The kicker here for travelers, sleepyheads and breakfast lovers is that breakfast is served all day — and worthwhile! You can simply satisfy your pancake craving with real maple syrup and fruit topping or order some nice and fluffy scrambled eggs with bread or order a full course breakfast for not much more in price. The prices are very reasonable and service is accommodating, warm and friendly — nearly as warm as the rustic charms in the adjacent gift shop that will remind one of days gone by. Not really the healthiest — although I did see fruit and granola on the breakfast menu. Unfortunately, when I’m at Cracker Barrel, I usually don’t deprive myself of a taste of the classics and Cracker Barrel is the ideal place to go when you’re far away from home or just miss the taste of your mother’s/grandma’s cooking! Also, one of my favorite desserts here is the Coca-Cola chocolate cake served with a side of vanilla bean ice cream. It only seems to be available for a limited time — but if it’s on the menu — order it or get it to go! Conveniently located between Route 61 and Interstate 81. Hungry travelers, come and warm up in the embrace of that giant fire place!

As all the others have said, «How can you not love Cracker Barrel?» I frequent Cracker Barrel quite often as I have the pleasure of living near one. However, not all Cracker Barrel’s are the same and when I say this I am referring to service, but this is a wonderful down home Cracker Barrel and I agree with Mike I. –the service is above average. I will definitely be back since I have fallen in love with the mountains of Pennsylvania.

Love the food here. It’s really a unique menu. While I could do without the mom gift shop stocked with seasonal crafts, the Mac and cheese, deep fried chicken, dumplings, and cornbread are awesome. Maybe not the best service and often a wait, but I give props.

We eat here on a regular backs since it’s sort of half way to grandmas house. Service is probably above average for a Cracker Barrel, but the food is avarage. Bathroom rating 8 out of 10.

My husband and I love this place for breakfast, never disappointed. Pricey but worth it. Love to browse the gift shop while waiting for the meal to arrive. Wait staff is friendly. This is a must try if you are in the Frackville area.

How can you not love Cracker Barrel? For those of you unfamiliar with this southern-based restaurant chain, let me fill you in on the fun of the Cracker Barrel. It’s half restaurant, half«old country store». So not only can you fill up on deliciously greasy down home cookin’, you can buy a candle, or some old– fashioned candy, or an exuberantly decorated sweatshirt. Or a rocking chair that they display out on the front«porch» of the restaurant! The food is consistently pretty darn good, especially for a chain. They serve breakfast thru dinner, with tons of options. I think it’s the overall ambiance here that keeps us coming back… there’s a checkerboard set up between 2 rocking chairs to play while you’re waiting, or you can go shopping in the«country store», which is conveniently(though not for my wallet!) located in the next room. Fun family dining, right in Frackville, PA. :0)
