Bella’s Bouncies Skate On Grand

As mentioned in previous posts, Skate on Grand is under new ownership. I’ve been skating at the rink twice with my daughter. The rink is a bit on the small side, but great for kids. They have a small arcade and an affordable concession stand. They also host birthday parties. There are lockers available for $ 0.25. The staff is alway pleasant and accommodating.
Just a couple of issues that I hope they will start to resolve as the business matures. (1) the rental skates (regular roller skates) are in sad shape. They need to perform quality checks more regularly. One of my skates had nail heads poking through the bottom and the laces were too short for the boot. (2) They need better management on the rink floor itself. It is not unusual to see toddlers running around the rink floor in stocking feet and kids skating against the flow of traffic. This creates a dangerous environment. Someone will get hurt since there are so many newbies skating on the floor. Either simple announcements to clear the floor or have a rink employee get on the floor to redirect the littles would work.
Other than that, this is a great place for skating. Check their website for open skate before heading out. My daughter and I are guaranteed to return.

Oh the nostalgia!!! My entire family had a blast here on our last Snow Day! Schools were closed, but Skate on Grand was open! Amazingly clean, very friendly service, SO much fun! Can’t wait to go back!!!
