I got the shrimp cocktail once it was too warm everything else was pretty good though

Been going here since it opened the food is amazing, lots of tequila and the red beers so good! The owner is super nice and his staff as well I would recommend everything on the menu its all good. Stop reading this and get in there you will not reget it!

I love Helen the owner, I’ve been going there for years, she is too funny and very welcoming lady to new customers and old customers.

The hubby and I gave this place a try last night on a Dealsaver and we were very impressed. The reviews don’t lie with this one. The food was delicious! My husband ordered a bean and cheese burrito with onions and cilantro added and, unlike other places we’ve tried, they didn’t drown the burrito in onions. I had the two enchilada combo with ground beef and it was actually ground beef and not chunks of carne asada like some other places we have tried. The prices are a little on the high side, but for the amount and quality of the food, you get what you pay for in my opinion.
Our waitress was very friendly and let us know in advance of the Dealsaver requirements, must be $ 20 before tax, and letting us know when we didn’t order quite enough. My only complaint about the wait staff, and the reason for my 4 stars instead of 5, was that it really wasn’t busy when we went and yet our waitress seemed to forget about us at times, we ended up being there for 2 hours mostly waiting for her to bring us food, check, etc.
All in all I highly recommend to anyone. Will definitely be returning.

5 $ bean cheese burrito :(
They were probably being lazy because of the new cashier equipment they installed, and didn’t want to hassle with the preset prices for burritos. It wasn’t even that packed. LAME.
I was on lunch and short on time so whatever. Last time going to jocy’s.

Had the chile verde here a while back and it’s safe to say I haven’t been back and I’m not planning on it. I was in the area for work and was on my lunch so I was looking for somewhere that could get me in fast and out fast, with no line to wait this place was it. The food was very bland and there’s nothing special about it. My rice almost had no salt and the beans were super watery. The worst part was that the chile verde was sweet and gad a canned taste to it. At least the service was decent right?

Tender barbacoa, ceviche was ok. All day margaritas are not all day on sundays. Left satisfied

When this restaurant opened the food here was very good. As of lately the food has been tasting mediocre at best. No flavor and very bland. I don’t know if it is because they got new cooks or if they just feel too comfortable knowing that they will have the regulars coming in. The menudo tasted water down, the fish tacos didn’t really have any flavor, and the Carne Asada burritos used to be great but now is a hit or miss. That’s pretty much it. Hopefully they improve.

Service was poor one server working and she paid more attention to the men at the bar than the booths or tables. Food is a hit or miss on quality.

Good basic Mexican food. Hearty. The camarones with nopales during lent are wonderful!!! You also can’t beat the pozole especially on a cold day or if you’re feeling under the weather. Mari is the best!

My favorite place to eat! Love the authentic Mexican food and the prices are pretty reasonable. Even the waitresses are always polite and helpful. Overall always a great experience:)

This review is based strictly from the perspective of someone who isn’t from this area. If, like me, you are from the SF Bay and used to fresh, quality food, and were forced to travel to this town on a business trip, enter with very low expectations. I didn’t want to be rude to my coworkers or else I would have run the opposite direction. The food is disgusting. Stale, poor quality meats, and flavored with ketchup. The place is also filthy and full of flies. I would rather starve than eat here again.

Seafood burrito is the best I’ve had! Very filling and quality, especially with salsa.

I came here for lunch and was diappointed. The chips were extremely stale and, the salsa was awful. My chicken salad was fried up chicken pieces in an oil soaken shell, I was expecting shredded chicken. Store bought hard taco shells, the asada was good though, so just order the meat alone. Beans had no flavor, rice was descent. They use white corn tortillas that have a nasty after taste. I think this was thee worst Mexican food I’ve ever had and its hard to mess up Mexican food. I will never, ever come here again. I won’t ever recommend this place to anyone. Way to pricey for the horrible food.

I love the food but the service is very slow. Even when I called in my order I had to wait 30 minutes when I got there to pick it up.

We decided on Cinco De Mayo to go for Mexican for dinner. We arrived at Jocy’s at about 6:40. We were not greeted at the door and were standing in the foyer for at least five minutes before anyone came for us. Actually, no one did. Someone shouted from the kitchen to just sit anywhere.
There were something like four or so other tables already seated and only ONE waitress between them for THE ENTIRE NIGHT (Who schedules only one waitress on a holiday?) That number grew over the extraordinarily length of time we were forced to wait to more like seven tables. This isn’t an especially alarming number of people. but with only one waitress and I suspect only one cook it’s practically impossible.
We had to wait to get any menus. Our drinks came a little quicker and then we had to wait an unnecessary amount of time for a cheese quesadilla that we ordered as an appetizer as we were quite hungry. I’m not sure but I think there was only one person working the kitchen as well. Then we had to wait about forty more minutes for our food.
The food itself was alright. Nothing special. I wish the guacamole was home made instead of that green sludge that you buy from the grocery store. The prices were decent.
We had to wait another half hour to get the waitress back to our table. She returned and tried to give us our check without asking if we wanted anything else. I then told her I wanted the fried ice cream and while she didn’t get angry or anything, I could tell that’s not what she wanted to hear.
Another half hour later, we get our friend ice cream. I’m glad it was only 3 dollars because if it cost more I would have been affronted. There was nothing wrong with it but it didn’t scream a four star rating.
Our check came another twenty minutes later, which we paid in cash and left quickly because I’d become sick of sitting in the same place for hours on end.
Overall, poor management gives this place a one star. If the dining experience had been better, I would have at least given it a three star. We are not coming back.

Good food, good service. Our first time here (fairly new in town), it was nearly empty for a Sunday lunch, which was pleasant for us. Our waitress was attentive, place looked clean, portions were fair for the price. Recommended.

We found Jocy’s on Unilocal and glad we did.
Tacos, tamales and taco salad were perfect.
Clean atmosphere and excellent service. We will stop again on our way through the Central Valley
