I was craving some donuts and came to my childhood donut shop. I ordered the chocolate glaze donut and old-fashioned chocolate glaze donut. They were fried perfectly and not too sweet. Total was $ 1.90. The customer service could be better but it is typical old-school Asian. I said good morning to the lady after she ignored me and I noticed that she said good morning to the man after me!(He ordered a dozen donuts.) It is behind the car wash on Magnolia and Talbert.

Terrible customer service! Bad selection and rude! I tried it out several times because it’s the closest one to us and just get the same awful service every time. I would save your money and go down the street to Cindy’s Donuts who is so awesome and friendly with a much larger selection. She throws extra ones in every time!

Tried for the first time this morning and very happy I did! As others have said, this is a great old fashioned donut shop with large, fresh donuts and excellent customer service. We enjoyed regular and chocolate twists as well as glazed, plain cake, and chocolate sprinkles donuts. The owners were lovely folks too.

I rarely eat donuts but this morning I was craving one. My boyfriend and I picked up some doughnut holes, a sprinkle, and a glazed twist(if you’re gonna go bad you might as well go really bad lol). They were all so fresh and soft! Some doughnuts have a greasy after taste, but these were light and fluffy. No extra residue on your hands. We went on a Sunday morning around 9 and they still had a great selection of different doughnuts. I think the owners kids were working this morning and they had on FVHS shirts. Gotta help and support the local owners. I will definitely be back when the sweet cravings return!

Yongs is soooo much better then the donut shop on Adams and magnolia. Their ham and cheese croissants are to die for and their donuts are always soft and fresh.

If I could give no star, I would. I just saw what I think was the owner’s daughter swept the floor with a broom and went back behind the counter to handle food WITHOUT washing her hands!!! Definitely will NOT go here ever again and all of you shouldn’t either. unless you want to get sick.

Yongs Donuts is located next to Fountain Valley Auto Spa on Magnolia and Talbert Avenue. This family owned and operated business delivers tasty morning delights as well as prompt and attentive customer service. Yong’s Donuts is not a fancy coffeehouse or morning bakery, there is no WiFi. However they do make the best donuts I have had since moving to Orange County 14 years ago. I’ve been a semi regular customer since I discovered this little treasure in the heart of Fountain Valley five years ago. I am picky when it comes to donuts and I love old fashion buttermilk glazed, it’s not overly sweet or heavy, nor can you bounce it off the wall like the donuts from Adams & Magnolia. Besides your garden variety of donuts, pastries and muffins are their croissants: Plain and then the following with cheese Turkey, Jalapeño and Ham, a super delicious guilty pleasure at $ 2.80 each and they are not small, in fact they are slightly bigger then the average mans hand. they will warm it for you or 20 seconds in your microwave at home. What I love the most are their donut holes, these bite size delights literally melt in your mouth, light and fluffy and they sell out fast. Open as early as 5am, this little corner shop is worth jumping off the 405 freeway at Magnolia, to grab a coffee, sweet treat and head into work. I am yet to be dissatisfied

I rarely eat donuts. But when I do, I prefer the decadent ones(sound familiar — lol): Apple fritters; Custard filled maple bars; And French crullers. I can respect the whole Krispy Kreme and now the Donuttery craze, but if some peeps would only eat donuts every once and a while, they would’t feel so guilty about eating them in the first place — Just stating, not hating. Yongs is located next to Fountain Valley Auto Spa. I’ll occasionally stop by here while my car is being washed, I am hungry and I need something sweet to go along w/my free Starbucks from FVAS. In addition, to apple fritters, they also have your basics like fried and cake donuts in a variety of styles: Twists, frosted, glazed, et al(half dozen for $ 4.25). They also have croissants: Turkey, Ham and Jalapeño(all w/cheese). I have eaten the turkey and ham croissants and I thought they were pretty good. However, I know they are laden w/fat and calories so I rarely indulge. The apple fritter was pretty good. It was not greasy like the donut shop on Adams and Brookhurst. It was fresh and dense, but the apple flavor was not that strong: 3 Stars. The ambiance is typical donut shop. The place is made to go, not sit and eat. The service is OK. It is owned by a Vietnamese family and the kids work there too. You know the type: The kids are prolly smarter than $hit and will end up going to Stanford or Harvard and you treated them poorly when they were kids. Yongs is a good place to go occasionally when I am having my car washed. However, it is nothing special and I would not go out of my way to come here.

The tastes of childhood remain strong. For my(now adult) children, Yong’s is the home of the donuts that take them right back to their childhood. For them, all other donuts in the world are to be compared to the standard – the donuts of Yong’s!

My friend Tom brought donuts to work today. We’re all so happy with how soft and fresh these are! The marble donuts are delish-ious. I don’t know if that’s the correct name of it, but it’s a regular circle donut with white frosting on top and chocolate frosting drizzled in the shape of a flower(I think typically it’s glazed in a marble fashion). Super cute. And yummy too. We also got the classic glazed circle donuts and donut holes. Pair any of these up with a cup of coffee and you’re in for a real treat! Hope my friend Tom will bring some back again!

I’ll admit, I’m not donut expert, nor am I a huge donut enthusiast. I just so happens that I enjoy a fat fill once in a while that will aid me on my long journey to acquiring Type II Diabetes. That probably wasn’t kosher to joke about… Yong’s Donuts was a popular donut shop for some of my friends in high school since it’s in a pretty convenient location. The store is completely family owned and run, which is wonderful. They used to have jelly donuts, but the last time I went, they didn’t have any — only Bavarian cream. I enjoy getting the crumb donuts here. They’re not overly sweet like Krispy Kreme’s and their donuts aren’t super cakey either. The price is moderately cheap — it was under $ 1.50 for two donuts and I’ve definitely had more expensive. Also, be warned, this place is CASHONLY. Overall, great place to go to support local business — especially if you’re looking for a sugar rush.

Someone has to stand up for Yong’s in light of such a miserable review. Listen, Yong’s Donuts is no special hole in the wall, but as far as holes in the donuts go, they clear the bar in both product and service. While this Asian-run joint does not lather on the customer service, they are prompt and attentive. I like their Devil’s Food donut, no sprinkles. The chocolate on top is dried like a chocolate-dipped ice cream cone. The cake itself is a little crunchy on the outside and the inside is almost an anomaly. It is soft and moist, but crumbles in your mouth. That, my friends, is something to write about(good thing I’m writing about it). My dad has been coming here for years to get morning coffee. When they see his car, his coffee is cupped and lidded by the time he walks up the counter. The coffee here is good enough, cheap, big and dark as night. If you don’t want a latte, what more can you ask for? Diatribe begins here: It sounds like David was raised in a household where no one ever said«No.» This whole«evolving to a younger generation» is really the cause for pansyfication of my generation. Everywhere we go, we expect to get treated like we’re doing some big favor to the establishment that we’re in. As if our being there has brought glory and honour to their day and their bookkeeping. David expects flat screen panels blasting crappy pop music at his donut shop? Oh, please! This is a donut shop, not a coffee shop. There’s a difference. We’re talking France v. America! La Dolce Vita v. The Jungle! Suck it up, eat your muffin and read a newspaper. Starbucks offers free wifi and power.
