Tran Douglas A MD

Dr. Tran is an excellent physician. I am stunned by the bad reviews although some are out there, like the billing issue which has nothing to do with the office staff, it is not even on site. I especially love the office staff, efficient, friendly and tend to my needs. Most of the staff has been with Tran for over 10 years.
My issue is frontal and tran coordinating with his professor and chief of the department at USC dr dale rice to assure my best outcome.

I really Like coming to see Dr. Tran! The staff is really helpful and Dr. Tran was the only Dr who found the real issue with my health and fixed it asap! He has sooo much experience and it shows!

i went to see dr tran last monday for some ear related issues. i had the worst
experience with this doctor. the girls in the office were rude and lazy and did not
have a customer friendly attitude. i would never go back there. last thing the doctor
told me it is gonna take months for him to figure out the problem, so i told him
why not just take a few test like ct scan or… he said why don’t you go see another
that really weird or what?

Overpriced, poor service. Dr. Tran is a prime example of how flawed the US healthcare system is. Not counting the paper forms I filled out in triplicate or the time to take vitals, my visit with Dr. Tran was less than one minute. He made no attempt to ask further questions or run any tests. For that he feels entitled to bill $ 200??? I have no problem paying for services when services are rendered but in this case Dr. Tran’s billing practices are a step away from criminal.

I came here because a friend/​coworker of mine recommended seeing ENT doctor Douglas Tran for a routine checkup. My initial experience was satisfactory but my post visit experience has been horrible. First off, I’ll start with the staff… They’re nice girls but I’m not sure if the ones who were helping me were inexperienced. I came in with my insurance and they made whatever phone calls they needed to make to verify my insurance and co-​pay. I saw the doctor and left that day without paying anything because the girls never asked me to make a co-​pay payment. Weeks later, I get an invoice from the office stating that I owed a co-​pay amount. Now my question is this; Why not collect it from me when I was there at the office on the day of my appointment like all the other offices I’ve ever visited? Why check me in, make phone calls, verify my insurance, ask me to see the doctor and greet me goodbye after without even asking for a payment and mail me a bill after? Doesn’t make sense to me.
After receiving numerous bills and phone calls, I dropped by the office to talked to them in person and voice my opinion. The girl who was working didn’t seem interested in what I had to say so when I was done, I handed her the payment in cash. She took my cash and just said thank you – no receipt or anything! I had to ask for a receipt! She wrote up a receipt for me on a carbon paper and tore me off a copy.
I was so happy that my nightmare with this company has come to an end – or so I thought! Two weeks later, I get another bill in the mail for the same amount I had paid in person, in the office! I was furious and called in to ask why they’re still requesting money when I’ve already paid them! They said that their records show no payment and the invoice is still open. I told them that I paid in person and the girl working the front gave me a written receipt only after I asked for it. The lady on the phone said that they don’t issue hand written receipts so she didn’t understand how that could have happened. Are you kidding me?! I asked her to get in touch with the office and figure it out. I’m not going to pay again after already paying once. NEVER AGAIN!

Was a nice guy overall, but his Dr./diagnostic skills are sub-​par at best.
He couldn’t or perhaps didn’t care to definitively explain to me why I was having issues with my hearing and only received generic feedback. Had I known the visit was going to be over in 5 minutes (twice & probably so that he could move onto the next patients) I would have skipped on seeking this «SPECIALIST» and opted for a generic doctor instead. He/​She probably would’ve provided the exact same service ~ which was prescribe meds and call it a day for hundreds le$$.
Anyway, I cannot speak for his surgical skills, but there are a lot better doctors out there. Ones that are willing to go the extra step to help you try to better understand what you may be experiencing and provide decent feedback.

Dr. Douglas Tran is a wonderful and caring doctor! I have been going to him for a few years for some ear infections. I highly recommend him. He always gives 110%.

Fixed my cauliflower ear here and my nose. Seriously it got worse and my nose is still jacked up. Would not suggest going here regardless how nice the doctor is.

Dr. Douglas Tran is an outstanding ENT doc and surgeon. I had a septopasty which is not an easy operation, and no surgery is every comfortable, but he was amazing. After the first few days, I felt a great improvement. What I really like about him is that he is not only talented and skilled, but he listens, he’s concerned and gives wise and helpful answers. He takes his time with patients and has a wonderful manner. Plus he’s been doing ENT surgery for years and has tons of experience. If you ever need something done to your ears nose or throat, I would absolutely trust him. He’s amazing and his staff is very efficient. He was recommended to me by a doctor who had the procedure himself.
