Old school doc… I love this guy’s personality, BUT he didn’t get the metal splinter out of my foot and he didn’t wear gloves when attempting to cut it out. My girlfriend ended up removing it at home with a sterile scalpel, etc. He recommended surgery but it really wasn’t necessary for a splinter. X-​rays were taken of my feet … for a splinter. I’m wise enough to know that was not necessary, and they just wanted to bill my insurance and make money. Same thing with unnecessary surgery.
Overall, this guy would make a GREAT ACTOR to play a pissed-​off old school doctor in a movie (think Quentin Tarantino), but as far a foot health, it didn’t work for me.
Keep in mind I’m just one reviewer and this was just my one one singular experience. This guy could be excellent for you.
Dr. Denis… please switch to being a character actor! You’d be great at that instead.

I happen to love this doctor. He has done 4 surgereries for me. and they healed fantastic. He is staight to the point. and I like that in a Doctor. He doesn’t say it could be this or could be that. I like him because he is confident in what he does.

When I saw the reviews for Dr. Russell I was scared & wondered if I should request another Dr. But I decided to go anyway. In all honesty I don’t know why he’s received bad reviews! He is very straight forward to the point and very professional. I had surgery in April, I had a fascia release and bone spur removal and was very pleased. It’s been a long recovery for me and Dr. Russell has been there every step of the way.
The people that complain about him telling you to wear new balance tennis shoes or you won’t get better… well guess what It’s TRUE!!! I am a hairdresser and I like to wear heels and flats but that’s part of the reason my foot got messed up in the first place! Do I like wearing these tennis shoes? NO! Are they cute? NO! But I want my foot to get better! So if you want to keep hurting keep wearing your 6 inch heels.
His staff is very nice and helpful. Angel went out of his way to make sure I got approved for physical therapy.
If you are looking for someone who gives you the warm fuzzies and holds your hand while skipping through the tulips then maybe he’s not for you; but if you are looking for a kind, straight forward, professional skilled surgeon then I highly recommend Dr. Russell!

Dr. Dennis Russell quit possibly the worst doctor I have ever been to. I would go into more but cannot at this time. I will also agree the girl he has working for him in the front the nastiest attitude, horrible manners! Rude from the beginning! Please think twice before choosing. n

I believe in Unilocaling all extreme reviews– places I love and places I hate. I’m torn here. The doctor is an old pushy man but you can’t help but like him despite him telling me he didn’t care if I only wear 5 inch heels I was going to have to wear tennis shoes to get better. Oh he yelled it and he meant it. And I giggled.
His receptionist/​nurse is about the nastiest person I’ve ever talked to. I hate to take personal blows but she reminds me of someone with a basic 12^th grade education who needs to be rude to feel better about her lack of class and that face of hers.
As of now I’ll go to him but I will be seeing about a new doctor just because her moronic behavior is enough for me not to pay my money to him. If they are a pair, no thanks I’m sure there are other podiatrists in town.
