Del Taco

It’s pretty hard to mess up fast food but somehow this location was able to do it. Went to the drive thru ordered 12 tacos and chili fries on the Tuesday special. They tried to charge me about $ 12 and when we told them they did the math wrong they continued to be convinced they were right. So we figured, whatever just pay it. We got our change and they seem to somehow do the math again and correct it. But never said anything to us about it, maybe embarrassed that they were wrong. Once we got home and noticed we got only 8 tacos! Oh and to top it off the chili fries had barely any chili. Never been so disappointed in Del Taco before. Ugh! I’m still hungry!

I tried the Epic Steak and Potato Burrito and it was not what I had hoped. The meat was tough and the bacon overpowered all the other flavors in my mouth. It kind of hurt my tough, actually. Next time I might try the chicken chipotle burrito, but I don’t expect it to be that great, either.
Also, I used to get tacos almost every taco Tuesday and Thursday, but as of late it has been subpar at best. Every time I eat there I feel nothing but regret because the quality of their food is so poor. (They do have pretty good fries, though)

There food is good nothing special. Just wish the food was more hot when it was served.

My fast food guilty pleasure is chicken soft tacos from Del Taco. However, I’m one of those picky bastards who always orders them with no secret sauce and no cheese (basically only chicken and lettuce) so I can take them home and put a dollop of plain nonfat Greek yogurt to feel a little less guilt. They always double check this and get it right, and again, being the picky bastard that I am, I always ask for a specific amount of Del Scorcho sauce (2 for each chicken soft taco) and I never come up short. Great service and food to satisfy my cravings!

I regularly eat at this Del Taco and the food is always fresh. The portions are generous and the employees are friendly … they even bring the food to your table. Various hot sauces are at every table. They have lemon slices for the ice tea. Muy bien!
Only negatives they close early and don’t take AMEX.

My teacher got me a cheese burger and when I open the box, first thing I saw was a long hair in the cheese.

Never really been a fan of Del taco. I always give them more chances and every time I order something its always gets messed up. I think the biggest problem is that the people who are hired don’t speak or understand English. I shouldn’t have to learn Spanish so they can understand me.
If I order a number 2 combo and get a number 4 and then when i say to the man or woman this is not what i ordered and they say back to me no you order a 4 combo. This is when I lose my mind. I said the word two does it sound like four. I said # TWO Del Classic Chicken Burrito. I love how they always argue with you and tell you your wrong on what you ordered. You MOTHER F #(%$(*#^$!
I mean I went into this place are a regular time and there was no one in there. Also beware of the Drive-​thru they are even worse at getting your order straight. Make sure you always check your bag.
Never again.

OMG. THEEE WORST Del Taco EVER!!! They ALWAYS get the order wrong. How do you get a bacon, egg and cheese burrito wrong ALL THE TIME? Ordered the 99¢ bacon, egg n cheese burrito only to get a $ 2.00 egg and cheese burrito. WTF?
Breakfast is ALWAYS ruined and BACHI for me to keep coming back. another burrito in the trash. FUCK!

Senior Management is receptive and quick to respond.

Clean location and efficient staff. Food of consistent quality. On last visit, ladies bathroom could’ve been cleaner and cooler. I like Del Taco and this one is of acceptable quality and has a comfortable dining experience.

This Del has consistently great service. When I worked at the school around the corner, we took our after school program on a little «field trip» to get lunch here. The employees were super patient and welcoming to a bunch of 9 year olds who needed help with ordering and paying. They even comped the teacher’s food.
Today was an extremely windy day and I went through the drive thru for a quick burrito before work. The wind actually blew my debit card out of my hand and out into the nearby bushes. The younger man who works here came out of the store and helped me find it in the nearby bushes. I was so grateful for his help. I’m writing this review because this location has some really great workers there.

Ended up going through the drive thru here last night, the speaker at the location on Brookhurst wasnt working, and I was THAT lazy to not get out of my car and drive to a whole other Del Taco lol
My order was right, they gave me enough hot sauce (which yes, is a big deal) and they were friendly enough.

This Del Taco is pretty big in size; it is located in the same plaza as Fresh and Easy. I’ve been coming here since high school and have never experienced any rudeness or attitude from the people that work here.

This a nice and quiet Del Taco. The service here is fast and frankly the crew is more in tune with the customer compared to the one up the street on Brookhurst by Sam’s Club. Their Taco Tuesdays tacos are consistent with getting a taco any other day compared to all the other Del Tacos, and their prices are a few dimes cheaper than most locations. My only qualm with this place is that it isn’t opened later, but then again if it was I’d be 200 lbs heavier haha.
The drive through here is a lot faster too, I’ve been at some Del Taco drive throughs where I’ve waited ages. The manager here is nice too, never is selfish with the Inferno sauce

My wife and I stood at the counter for 5 minutes with NO ONE ELSE IN LINE and only one other man sitting in the far corner of the restaurant. The guy on the taco line didn’t have anything to do so he shuffled a couple pieces of lettuce back and forth for what I assume was «busy work».
The one gentleman running the drive thru headset came over and proceeded to ring up his drive thru customers at the register we were standing in front of. NOT ONCE WERE WE TOLD TO «HOLD ON», «SIT TIGHT», «UN MOMEMNTO», or anything. We walked out.

Even on taco Tuesday they never get chinchy (sp?) on the meat lettuce and cheese. I know every del within 15
Miles of me an this one is by far the most generous with their tacos.
And to the lady who complains about the drive through service. Shut up. Maybe the drive through mic has a bitch filter, that’s why he cant understand you.
You live in southern California and expect the fast food workers to be non immigrants? How dare you make a racist comment against them. You need to check yourself next time you post a review you BIGOT!

One of my peeves is getting my order wrong at the drive-​through because they can’t understand my Californian-​accent in California. We enter the drive-​through because we are in a hurry or just don’t want to get out of our vehicles. Drive-​through is supposed to be convenient but on more than one occasion this Del Taco has messed up my order.
I gave it a second chance on a large order today and the guy said, «Chocolate Milkshake?» I did NOT order a chocolate milkshake, nor did I say anything remotely close to Chocolate Milkshake.
I wanted for me:
2 bean burritos, with green sauce, NO CHEESE, and tomatoes added on and a side of Macho Fries.
For my husband:
2 Fish tacos, and a side of Macho Fries
For my daughter:
Chili Cheese Fries
For my son:
Bean Burrito, no cheese, and Macho Fries
For my youngest son:
A kids meal with a regular taco
What I got:
2 Bean Burritos with Cheese, and 1 cheese fries
(The correct part was the fish tacos, kids meal, chili-​cheese fries and 1 burrito with green sauce and tomatos)

We got home, looked at the receipt and it was not what we ordered. Perhaps it was OUR BAD that we had enough faith that Del Taco would have gotten our order right and that we were hungrier than rabid dogs to check what was in our bags before we drove off. I was thinking something didn’t feel right, because Macho Fries come in a Big-​Gulp-​Sized cup. I didn’t know till it was time to distribute the food to the family that our order was totally WRONG.
I swear, they need to hire people who hablan Inglés mejor at the drive-​thru window…
