Orion’s Bar & Grill

Cool little place in Ft. Inn next to El Patron. Very fun, sportsbar-​like atmosphere and can’t wait to enjoy the outdoor area when they can lift the cool glass doors.
Pros: Nice atmosphere, good prices, really good selection of beer and other spirits, the bartender is super nice and attentive and all of the employees seemed like they really paid attention to the customers. My husband had the wings and really liked them and he’s very critical of restaurant wings.
Cons: We sat at the end of the bar near the bathrooms and the air freshener was so strong it gave me headache, I’ll sit at the other end next time because I really liked chatting with the other patrons and bartender. I had the spinach artichoke dip and it was WAY spinachy and I love spinach, I’m guessing they don’t actually make it there, but I could be wrong. These 2 minor cons definitely won’t stop me from going back, plus it’s 4 minutes from my house!

A nice upgrade to the old House of Pizza building. The atrium has been enclosed for warmer weather dining and has a projector and big screen showing sports. The bar and booths make the inside much more open and nicer than the HOP. Customers for the early Saturday dinner when we went were mostly younger although the five-​star music service was playing late 70s and early 80s selections (Pat Benatar, Bonnie Tyler, Rolling Stones, Jody Whatley and Prince). I’m pretty sure we were the only ones in the dining room alive when those songs were released.
Service was quick. We started with honey mustard wings (very good). Wife chose short ribs while I went with the large supreme calzone. The sauce on the very tender ribs was perfect and the sweet potato fries got high marks. The large calzone was essentially a large pizza folded over — huge and stuffed full of ingredients. The thin crispy crust was excellent and it was cut into six pieces. I brought four pieces home (and I’m a big eater).
A big plus for us was the lack of smoking inside (no ashtrays at tables). Not sure if the patio will also be smoke free.
I give Orion’s four solid stars and look forward to trying more items from the menu (like the lobster mac n cheese). The menu overlaps nearby J. Peters but the vibe is very different so I hope they both keep a steady clientele. For a laid-​back sports pub and restaurant, Orion’s is hard to beat.

My favorite American fare restaurant. Tucked away in little Fountain Inn, SC. Located in a former gas station building whose garage bays serve as the covered outdoor seating when the bays are open. There is also indoor seating and bar. My family and I have been several times and have had great experiences. Duck legs with spicy hoisin sauce. Personal pizza. Awesome burgers (watch out for the ghost burger, spooky hot!) and excellent chicken wings. The are other fares I haven’t yet tried, but give me something to look forward to.

service was very poor!
I called my order in and was given a pick up time of 15 mins. When I arrived the place was packed. The waitress asked me to pay once I got there, after waiting an additional 10 mins. I asked the manager how longer before I get my order. Before checking she sits an party of 5, then goes in the kitchen and returns to tell me to sit down it will be ready in a few. Again asking her how long will it be and explaining that my family was outside in the car waiting. She rudely responses «is the car running; are they cool». When I ask for a refund. She quickly runs to the kitchen and returns with my order.
If you commit to a time frame you owe it to your customer to uphold it!
Also my food was under cooked.
This will be my 1^st and last time!

Great atmosphere for watching a football game or just catching up with friends. Bartender is super knowledgeable on drinks and gives great recommendations. Buffalo Chicken Pizza and Chicken Bacon Ranch pizzas are awesome! Three Sisters Sampler lets you pick all of your favorites and is filling. Overall a great restaurant, and I can’t wait to go back again!
