Great place to get a good home cooked meal and hang out with some truly wonderful people. I’ve had a lot a meals here, and I can honestly say not a single one of them was disappointing.
If you come often enough to get to know the locals you may get the honor of sitting at the «Liar’s Table,» where a lot of the old timers gather at each meal to swap tall tales, farm reports, and good humor.
By the time you leave you’re no longer just a customer, but you’re family.

This is one hole in the wall joint! It’s in the middle of no where but the perfect on the road travel spot to get a quick bite to eat. It was decorated old school with James Dean, Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe and bunch of classic records in the road. Such a unique restaurant I enjoyed the door very much. The food was good. I got a salad so how badly can you mess a salad up? Only thing was the coffee here is atrocious! Im ok with the occasional not so great coffee but omg it was bad. Other then that service was good and people in this town are very nice.

We stopped in for a bite to eat for lunch on one fine Friday. They were fairly busy with only a couple of open tables left. But while they only had two servers working, they kept up just fine!
I had the BLT (no mayo, of course) and the hubs had the tenderloin. They were both quite tasty! We also saw that they have a fantastic kids menu, so we’ll be headed there again some day with the Little. I mean, c’mon. Grilled cheese!
Prices are about as cheap as it gets, faces are friendly and the food is full of yum.

This diner is just like stepping back in time. Nostalgic décor, many locals holding court, and excellent food. I’m tickled to see the diner packed for lunch on a Tuesday! Fantastic, friendly service was the icing on the cake. Definitely worth the trip to Fountain City!
