After my trip back from Greece, I could barely walk as I’d been experiencing severe back pain on and off for several years. Physical therapy didn’t help, neither did painkillers. I discovered Dr Hang /​Scientific Acupuncture while having lunch at a restaurant in the same complex as his office, and thought I’d give acupuncture a try (pretty desperate to try anything by this time). Best decision ever!!!
Dr. Hang is absolutely a miracle worker — highly recommended. After 6 out of 10 sessions, I felt more mobile than ever did for many years and my back pain subsided. I continue to go back to Dr. Hang for maintenance once or twice a year. Simply put, Dr. Hang is the best!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Hang for a few years now. He’s been treating me for my allergies over the past few years. I’m so happy, I no longer need /​have to take allergy pills and my allergies are down to a true minimum. I love not suffering during the spring and fall. Hopefully, with a few more treatments by alleriges will be gone.

Dr Hang spilts he time between two offices. He works in Foster City on Tues, Thurs, and Sat. On Mon, Wed, and Fri he works in an office in San Jose.

This was my first time. I have to say, it was incredible. I didn’t want to get up from the table it was so relaxing. If you have any ailment, I suggest you give this place a try!

Dr. Hang is a very skilled acupuncturist. And he has a great sense of humor! He explains things well and gives a lot of helpful tips. It’s just amazing how quickly pain from carpal tunnel and sprains was cured via acupuncture by Dr Hang.

I’ve been going to Scientific Acupuncture since 2004 and I have nothing but good things to say about it. I was referred to S.A. by a friend who slipped on a plastic bag that he left on his staircase and fell all the way down the stairs! He could hardly walk – due to severe back pain – but after one treatment by Dr. Hang he felt better! Dr. Hang is truly a master of acupuncture. He’s also honest and won’t try to schedule you for repeated treatments, unless he feels you really need it. His prices are reasonable, and I know this since I used to go to someone in Burlingame who was twice the price of S.A. and supposedly the best – making appearances on KQED – but couldn’t come close to Dr. Hang’s skill. I came in initially with a sciatic problem and was unable to sleep due to the pain shooting down my leg. I didn’t want to be on heavy medication. After one treatment I felt better – I couldn’t believe it! I have come in over the years for «Tune-​Ups» and I’ve always left feeling great. He also uses heat treatments, cupping, and electric needles to accentuate the acupuncture treatment. Is acupuncture painful? A little when the needles are initially inserted (for my sciatica the pain level was a 4 on a scale of 10), but it subsided quickly during the treatment and is well worth that initial bite.
I whole-​heartedly recommend Dr. Hang of Scientific Acupuncture. A drug free way to manage pain, so you can sleep and your body can heal!
