chow mein, dai chin — killer combination. used to go there so often they once asked why I don’t cook at home! It was that good. Still is.

One of our family favorites. The food is great. We usually order Dai Chin chicken, Fried Rice, Chow Main, Pot Stickers and Mushrooms Chicken. Every thing is always great. We have eaten a variety of their menu and have enjoyed everything. The staff is great. They remember me and my daughter. They know our order. My husband has been coming here since he was a child, now 38, and we will continue to come often! The prices can’t be beat! Where else can you feed six people for less than $ 50.00!?!

This place serves Chinese food take out. The food is greasy and salty, but in a good kind of way. Until you reach a food coma and feel kind of gross after: X I like it personally but it’s not something that you would want to make your daily lunch or dinner spot because of it’s after effects on your body! Sluggish food coma like feel… they give a decent size portion for their prices though and it’s basically just something to grab and take home to eat when you’re feeling lazy. No complaints here. it is CASHONLY though so make sure you bring some cash when you go!

Holy crap! We decided to come here on a whim and I am so glad we did! My daughter and I got the lunch special(fried rice and 2 items) and they just kept packing the food on! I have never seen portions like that in my life when it comes to takeaway! The best part was the price, under $ 6! The downside is we had to eat in the car because I didn’t see a high chair for my son, but whatever. I’ll eat in my car all the time if I have to cause that was some tasty food!

good take out, if you don’t mind running the risk of finding a cockroach in your food. decide for yourself if it’s worth it.

Very rude and very bad service! They are especially when I brought my kids there to order food. They have no patience at all and very mad and rude to kids. Be very careful actually. When you go there take a look at the cleanness of the kitchen and restroom! You will be very hesitated to order any food there if you see those.

This is a little takeout Chinese joint, with lots of precooked dishes, friend rice and noodles to choose from. The price is really reasonable and cheap(compared to Panda express); you can a get box of friend rice for $ 3 so can’t beat that. The zhucchini chicken and friend rice are quite decent. For quality I think it’s OK given the price. Not the best, but a great quickie joint for quickie and cheap Chinese eats.

The food is great but the ladies that work there are rude and make you rush rush. Would their face crack if they smiled? It is also a pain in the a** that they only take cash.

Still cheap, still good, still greasy. I came back here to get a few items and it’s just as I remembered. 4 stars for exceeding my standards for Chinese take-out.

TL;DR — We have a love hate relationship. I love that the food is SO cheap and that my sister(who prefers american food) can eat at the same place I do. The food is meh. Its greasy and overly salty… but its good. Haha. Why do things that taste so good have to be so bad for you? :[ Anyway, good for a lazy night in with Netflix and ice cream… then a good 5 mile run the next day! Haha

Rickshaw is usually our go-to when we need to feed a group of people last minute. The portions are HUUUUUGGGGEEE! You get a ton of food for cheap. I think it’s pretty good fast Chinese food :) A 3 item plate will be lunch AND dinner. Some of my favorite dishes from here are: The fried rice: It’s simple… not too many things in it. I like it. The sweet & sour pork. It’s breaded and fried and they don’t dip in in the sweet and sour sauce until you order it so it isn’t super soggy. mmmm… Eggplant w/tofu because, well, I love eggplant. If you’re looking for a ton of food for cheap and quick, I’d recommend this place… i mean, where else can you order a half gallon of noodles?

I’ve been living here In San Mateo county for only a couple months, however I want to do as many reviews as possible to give an outsiders view of all these food places before I leave! I’m a big lover a good old fashioned american Chinese food, you know, the greasy kind that you regret after. i have to say, this place is AWESOME. It is perfect for the price-wary eater who likes to save money while getting more bang for their buck. I saw other reviews where people say they pack A LOT of food into the lunch special and boy were they right. So much food, decent tasting with a good amount of options. If you are looking to have leftovers, save money, or miss your go-to local Chinese restaurant, this place will generously suffice.

CASHONLY! Rickshaw is a great place to stop for some cheap, quick eats. It’s pretty standard Americanized Chinese Fast Food, so don’t be expecting gourmet food, but this is definitely the best bang for your buck in the area. The portions are GIGANTIC! My boyfriend and I usually share a $ 7 plate, and we can’t even finish in one sitting! I’ve tried the Dai Chin chicken and the Green Beans & Chicken, and they were both very satisfying. It’s exactly what you’re craving if you want some Chinese Fast Food =). I am definitely going to come by the place more often.

Great place for some Chinese junk food. If you’re in the mood to pig out, this really hits the spot, but eat it while it’s hot, because once it cools, you’ll notice that the food is on the salty side. We usually get the Dai Chin chicken, Green beans and chicken, and the fried rice. They give you SOMUCH food! While I’m watching her scoop food for me, I’m thinking, you can definitely do another scoop, and she does! It’s usually enough to feed two people for around $ 7, which is great. Quick and easy spot to drop by. Dai Chin Chicken — typical General Tso’s/sesame mix; batter fried, etc. Green Beans and Chicken — in typical oyster sauce /soy mixture; green beans could be a little bit more crisp. Fried Rice — has small bits of BBQ pork in it; huge volume to accommodate your meats.

Huge portions. Low prices. Food quality is not the greatest but at $ 6 for what feels like a pound of takeout with no wait, it’s a good spot. Do note — cash only.

HUGEPORTIONSFOR A SMALLPRICE :) They loose a star because it is definitely quantity over quality here, simply average food. You will definitely be eating Chinese food for lunch and dinner, with just one entrée. Shout out to the pot stickers for being delicious. A Side(chow mein or friend rice) plus two entrée options(i.e. beef and broccoli) comes out to around $ 6.

This place is a hit or miss for me, and even when it’s a hit, I think it’s just okay for Chinese food. I personally prefer Tai Wu for Chinese takeout when I’m in Foster City. Best items: –Fried Rice: Favorite item on the menu & the best thing they make, hands down. –Dai Chin: if it’s fresh, it’s really good. Sweet & spicy. I’ve had it not fresh & regretted it, however. Potstickers, chow mein, broccoli beef, pork buns are all decent too. The fresher it is, the better it tastes here. The best part of Rickshaw is how ridiculously cheap it is! You can get huge portions for very cheap. But with the cheap comes the decline in quality of food too. Not my first choice in Chinese, but a viable option if you are tight on cash & not interested in waiting for your Chinese take out to be prepared freshly for you.

Great bang for the buck! More legit than Panda Express, support a local business. Giant portions for cheap prices. Great lunch meal if you are hungry and thrifty.
