Off The Grid Foster City is almost similar to OTG Upper Haight in terms of the layout and amount of trucks, but this one’s got a huge lake as the backdrop making this location a very tranquil one. I do like the truck lineups they have on rotation here as they include Pluck, Southern Comfort Kitchen, and Fins On The Hoof among some of my faves. Lineup A: Fins on the Hoof, We Sushi, Cheese Gone Wild, Sam’s Chowder Mobile, Frozen Kuhsterd, Korean Bob Cha, Capelo’s Hill Country BBQ, Pluck, LHP Trading Co. Lineup B: Hiyaaa, SAJJ, The Boneyard, Johnny Doughnuts, Lobsta Truck, Curveball Sliders, The Missing Link, Kokio Republic, Crêpe ‘Em Coming, Bacon Bacon, LHP Trading Co. I’d say Lineup A is the stronger lineup between the two but that’s only a matter of personal preference to me since I love Fins On The Hoof and Pluck. Both lineups are pretty solid so you’ll have great food no matter which lineup is there. While OTG Foster City isn’t exactly my OTG of choice simply because of its location from me, its still got a lot of nice things going for it and when the weather is nice, this place is a great spot to kick back and enjoy some gourmet street food by the lake. Surely, I would definitely be back since this is the only OTG that’s closest me that Fins On The Hoof goes to.

A moment of guilt overcame me when Unilocal told me I was an «Off The Grid regular». I CAN’T HELPIT! On top of having an awesome variety of food trucks every Wednesday, this location has a beautiful view of the lake and is always lively with people(and dogs)! The food trucks change up every now and then, but there’s always beer being sold and live music being played no matter what. The only ugly thing about this place is the parking, which is this tiny little lot by the rec center. I always luck out in finding something but there are better chances around the later times like 8pm.

This review is long overdue. Amazing food and a lot of choices to choose from. When we went They had several food trucks to choose from, they had bbq, donuts and crepes, lobster rolls and much more. The only problem we had, besides finding parking, was deciding what we wanted to have for dinner. It overall was a great experience. We even brought our food and sat near the waterfront, which was gorgeous. Not to mention they had live music too. I definitely recommend going to off the grid. I will also try going to their other Bay Area locations such as in San Francisco and Serramonte.

I love that Frozen Kuhsterd comes here! They are one of my favorite trucks. However, my pet peeve with Off the Grid is that they are the same trucks every alternating week. It makes me miss last year’s Moveable Feast that was here instead. This Off the Grid is located right next to the city’s recreation center and by the lagoon for a nice view with your food. Nights can be rather chilly so bring a jacket just in case.

I love trying new things and that includes food trucks! So I have been to Off The Grid a few times. My first time was at Fort Mason and that was great because it was huge and there were so many options to choose from. However, it is a long drive and can get too crowded(so really long lines) so I am glad they started having Off The Grid in Foster City since it is so much closer to where I live now. I like how there are usually around 8 food trucks so it narrows down my choices since I am pretty indecisive! I have been to Foster City’s Off The Grid just twice so far and love it both times. I just head over here right after work on Wednesdays when I am too lazy to cook and craving something new. I love coming here because the view and everything is so nice. There is also bocce ball(or I think that is what it is called) nearby because I have seen people playing it. Today I saw a boat with people parked nearby and a few people kayaked to get some food since it is located near the water. It is not as crowded as others I have been too but probably because not a lot of people know about it yet. Today I tried Hiyaaa and Bacon food trucks. I got The Belly Sandwich from Bacon for $ 10 so it wasn’t that bad of a price. It had a huge slab of pork belly, lettuce, some yummy aioli sauce, banana peppers, and a fried egg that pops in your mouth when you bite into it. It was pretty yummy! Of course I have to get an appetizer, right? So I ended up getting the Spicy Tofu Bites from Hiyaaa, which was alright but still good. It was kind of pricey for a small amount. I am a fan of tofu and spicy things so anything tofu that is spicy is good to me! But I do want to try Hiyaaa again and get their Bulgogi Banh Mi. Anyways, you should definitely check this Off The Grid out because there is not too many food trucks so you won’t be standing around deciding on what to eat. Also the view is GREAT! And they also have live music and nice chairs to sit on. :)

Lots of trucks and plenty of seating set up for diners. Come after 6 and there is usually live music playing. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare. I usually walk so not a problem. Can be windy so plan accordingly

Great Off The Grid! Been coming for a few weeks in a row now. Consistently 8 – 9 food trucks every Wednesday. Highlights include Sams Chowder, Pluck, and We sushi
