Cold nasty fries. Check your food before you leave. Ripoff. Would not recommend it at all. Open 24hr and that’s how old the fries were.

I love their Streak and Egg Burrito. I have tried the same burrito in other places, but nothing can compare to this place.

I’ve been to this location twice. The first visit they messed up my order, and the 2nd visit they overcharged me something like $ 13.50 on an $ 8 combo in the drive thru that was so poorly cooked it would have been a rip off at half the price. I used the contact us link on the corporate site to report the mistake but I never heard back from them, and honestly that’s fine since I will never eat at this restaurant again.

I rarely review fast food places but my experience this morning was horrible. I ordered the bacon and egg biscuit combo. After waiting over 5 minutes in the drive thru I got it and it was the most horrible excuse for food I ever saw. Hard as a rock, tiny sliver of egg, dried out«cheese» and bacon that tasted like typewriter ribbon. It was also cold and way too salty. The coffee was watered down and bitter. Just go to mcdonalds across the street if you have a fast food jones. This place sucks!

Please be aware of getting overcharged for your food. I upgraded my combo Thickburger meal to a medium but instead of charging me an extra $.79, I was charged for separate medium drink. I ordered via the drive-thru and questioned the cashier about what I ordered. He repeated my order correctly. After I got my food, I noticed my receipt was no where to be found. I had to request for it. The cashier was sly and seemed to know what he was doing. I’m sure I wasn’t his first victim. As I was driving away, I noticed I was charge for an extra medium drink. Double check your receipt.

The place is nicely fixed and decorated. The whole menu is in full view of the customer. There were two staff members on the counter when I came in. The female staff member greeted me and asked for my order. I was picking for my son who is still trying to figure out what he wanted. I felt pressured to pick fast even though there were not a lot of other patrons at the time. While waiting for our order I tried to get the attention of the male staff member to ask if a key is required for the bathroom. I was a foot away from his face saying excuse me but he wouldn’t budge to acknowledge me at all. He had to finish turning his milkshake before he would answer me back. I felt he was intentionally rude not only to me but to other guests who came in after us. 3 stars for that.

Probably the worst burger and fries that I have ever had. Not sure if it is Carl’s Jr in general or this particular Foster City shop.

We have given this location several tries, but most of the time when we ordered at the drive thru, the order taker did not know the menu. Consequently the order we ended up being a bit of «chef’s surprise». The drive thru is the slowest experience in non fast food. Okay, now onto the staff. There is one guy, a large man, who just think surly to bed and surly to rise is the best way to help customers. He never says anything other than to blurt out the total amount due on the order. He never greets the customer, never says please nor thank you. He gives the absolute opinion that you as a customer are an interruption to his day. There are two other places to order from just across the steet, and they seem to know the words«thank you», and they actually use them. Sorry Carl’s Jr, I no longer want to pay for your errors and rude service.

Not happy with this Carl ‘s Junior. Sunday morning on drive thru and waited for more than 5minutes. Only one customer in front of me and none behind me. I saw no customer inside. Shouldn’t take that long.

Frustrated. I went thru the drive-thru today and ordered a low-carb $ 6 cheeseburger… what I got was an icky burger with onion rings and bacon on a bun with what tastes like bbq sauce. Aargh. No time to go back to have them make it right. Very disappointing.

Okay Carl, you redeemed yourself with the«All American Thick Burger«. Aside from the $ 8 price tag(tax incl) the only thing I DON’T like about this burger: its nearly impossible to EATIT&DRIVE at the same time!!! Just cuz I did doesn’t mean YOU or anyone else could or should… I’ll be picking lettuce & potato chips outta my driver’s seat for the next 2 weeks! So, just don’t do it people; trust me. This burger isn’t a McD’s flattened & stuck together between a damp bun burger. This is a massive burger that has way more innards.(same bun as the Natural Burger but this burger actually works in unison with the bun) Everything on it is crunchy & compliments one another and needs to be eaten together… not in pieces. Unbelievably huge and tasty. Did I mention NOT to eat this burger while you’re driving? Some of you Unilocal readers«can’t handle the truth» so please do the rest of us burger munching drivers a favor & wait til you get to a REDLIGHT to take bites outta your All American Thick Burger. In case you have an accident, I don’t want a DWB(Driving While Burgering) to become a citable offense and ruin my 15 minute lunch run!(plus I don’t want you to have an accident… I care… I seriously do) If you have an extra $ 8 try this burger cuz you deserve it once in a while; not everyday, but once in awhile.

Went thru drive thru three times now since it has opened and they always get my order wrong. Always call to speak to a manager no manager on duty. So tired of it tonight they messed up everything. So tired of this. When are they going to ever listen and get the orders correct

So, this location just re-opened recently. Decided to give it a try. Wish I could review the food, but I was never served. I stood behind another person waiting to get served. Three different people behind the counter saw the two of us standing there and decided not to serve us. Bless the guy in front of me who has more patience than I. I walked out hungry, never to return. Hope the guy in front of me enjoyed his food, that is of course if he ever was served. Hell, he may still be standing there.

Our first Carl’s Jr burger. It certainly did NOT look like the burgers we’ve seen on tv commercials over the year. As for taste, it was not memorable. It wasn’t spoiled nor cooked improperly. It wasn’t juicy, either. A total waste of money. Service was fine, though.

I am not a fan of this remodel. While the old location was large, warm and inviting this place has half the seating area. I was told by a manager 60% of their business is drive through, so I guess it makes sense. Not for me though and I won’t be back Also the food is not as good as it used to be and the prices are high. I much prefer Habbit burger near Whole foods where you can get a combo for the same price but twice as good

Place looks awesome compared to old one, plus a bonus drive thru. Went there for the 1st time today and got chili fries, they tasted good on the upside but downside was they didn’t look absolutely anything like the picture. at all, plus found a piece of meshed wire in my fries about the size of a dime(clearly visible).

Yes it’s open! For what it is it’s a 4. Great service, burgers are great. Turkey burgers on the menu now. It was lo-cal with jalapeños. :-) New building is clean, modern and of course there is the drive thru. Wifi was down on Thursday but can only assume it’ll be up by now.

I usually don’t rate fast food joints, mainly since there’s usually not much to rate. Food is predictable, service is forgettable, and the only reason you’re there is because you’re too tired or broke to find a better place to eat. I mean, it’s not like you’re checking out Unilocal to see if this CJ’s french fries are worth trying out. So the only reason I figured that I would give this Carl’s Jr a nod is because I find them to be a tiny notch above a typical fast food place. Read that I wrote«tiny» — it’s not like you’re going to come in here and be blown away by the service or food. But I’m a bit of a picky eater and tend to make off menu requests because that’s just what I feel like eating, and they always accommodate me without any pause to make me think I’m inconveniencing them by having to do a bunch of extra key strokes on their register. A small thing, but after encountering too many eye rolls from cashiers after asking for a simple(allowed) soda refill, I know it’s rare to get in the fast food industry. I kinda feel bad for these franchise owners because I know Carl’s Jr makes them do a bunch extra in order to keep their products more«fresh» — for instance, their salsa is made on site and they will be rolling out fresh buttermilk biscuits made from scratch next month. Sounds like it should be no big deal, but for a fast food place to invest in the extra labor hours to cut up and mix up stuff that is normally shipped in a bag from Corporate is actually pretty substantial. Solid and dependable place for fast eats. Knock off a star because they don’t have a drive through, but the fact that I come here even though it requires me to exit my vehicle and walk a few steps for junk food is pretty big.
