Nothing fancy, Just a good sandwich and homemade soup with a free refill. The peanut butter pie is amazing. You have to check out the dryer lint artwork also.

Laura is so nice. The sandwiches are big and fresh. The soups are awesome as well. Can’t wait to go back for a Cuban sandwich!

Want a great soup and sandwich for lunch at a really great price? This is the place. After going through several owners, the current owner has provided a great product at a super price. She’s nice as she can be. Had the cream of zucchini soup and it was really satisfying. The sandwich was mounded with meat and tasted wonderful. It’s just as good as what I remember from the 80’s.

The old White Eagle is back if you will. We ordered turkey, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and avocado on wheat bread, with a small side of potatoe salad and macaroni salad. It was all DELICIOUS. All for $ 9.85. Good, fresh, simple sandwiches made to order with fresh ingredients. We split the homemade chocolate pie, excellent. Similar atmosphere as the old days except spic and span clean. Very nice to have a clean deli with fresh good tasting simple sandwiches.

Used to eat here a lot… back in the 80’s when I worked in the area. Back then it was the original owners, and we used to call this place, affectionately, The One Arm Deli. If you went here back then, you’ll know why. They made plain, simple deli sandwiches, any way you liked it. Big difference is everything on it was really fresh. Bread, meats, veggies, always great. Good deviled eggs, and salads too. Some time in the 90’s I believe, the man died, and I remember going in around then and his wife was still running it. Since then, from what I’ve heard/read it’s had several owners. I didn’t know of this till the other day when I was in the area and wondered if it was still open. It was, and after thinking about it twice, I parked and went in. The place has been nicely remodeled. The menu was still mostly sandwiches, but there are several soups, and a soup of the day. I ordered a two meat with cheese sandwich, chips and drink, and oh hellya, a couple of deviled eggs. Everything was pretty much as I remember it. Fresh stuff. Good simple sandwich, good size portion. Deviled eggs were good, not overspiced. It was a good meal for lunch, and would have been a good dinner too. Plenty of food, and I got it all for less than $ 7. Woman working said they had recently bought the place and had done the remodel. I see the latest review was back in 2008, but I saw nothing of the complaints on my visit. Another set of new owners, better food and cheaper prices now maybe. Back in the day, this place would have a line out the door during lunch. If you happen to find yourself on North Sylvania around lunch sometime, this place looks like it’sback up to the quality of the old days.

This is not my favorite place. It has always seemed overpriced, and parking is a pain. The food seems plain to me also.
