Torrid

I love this store and am always happy with my purchases. My only complaints with this location is how packed in the clothing is, I realize there is limited space but I literally gave up and left the other day because they clearance section was impossible to look through. My other issue is with the store manager, she can be a bit rude and pushy.

This Torrid was great! So glad to have discovered it was in alliance town center. The staff was super helpful and sweet, and very patient as we took our time trying on clothes and making our selections.
I adore Torrid’s edgy, sexy, and youthful style. The selections often change and their look books are always awesome. I’d seen a teal skirt in a past look book but couldn’t remember the outfit and one of the staff even searched through her old look books so I could see the full outfit.
As with any specialty store, prices are high and you want to shop during special sales and/​or use coupons. Clearance is often 50% off. Here there were two rows in the back wall, and two circular racks with clearance items, so a decent selection.
The only caveat is that the fitting room is very small. A couple of times a lines formed because there were only four fitting rooms and if you know women you know we armed going to limit ourselves to just one visit to the fitting room. :-)

This is where I go to get jeans that fit. They have tons of different styles. I love their jeggings. But this current store manager bugs me. I feel like she’s just too chatty and too pushy. And please be warned, never ever make a clearance purchase without trying it on. They do not allow returns or refunds. Another warning: Do yourself a favor and do not order on line using paypal. If you do, they don’t offer in store returns. Too many rules. I’ve had better luck with returns at Wal Mart.
I consider this store a nessecary evil. I go in occasionally to try on a few things after looking online just to see how they fit on the off chance they have my size. Once I get a feel for my size though, I usually go home and order it on line because it’s almost always a better deal online.
So 5 stars for great plus size jeans, 1 star for in store selection, 2 stars for the irritating manager, 0 stars for the rediculously complicated and alienating return policy.

I love the selection of clothes in this store! However, I shop here because I am very top heavy. Small everywhere else. When I visit this place I always get nasty looks from two of the women that worm there kind of like I don’t belong In they make it very uncomfortable for me. Also, if you can get them to stop gossiping about their boyfriends, coworkers, etc., you’ll be lucky to get a dressing room.

I came to this store last night looking for jeans, which almost any plus size gal will attest — it’s a PITA!
I was greeted and helped by Amari and she gave me plenty of choices of jeans to try on after asking me how I would like my jeans to fit. After a few that weren’t quite cutting it (or cutting it too much), I found a pair that was comfortable and fit well. There were two other ladies working there, one was named Ashley (?) or Jessica (?) and another who I didn’t catch her name. All were cordial, helpful and checked in with me multiple times to make sure I had gotten all I needed. I even mentioned that the previous day was my birthday but forgot my coupon that was mailed to me, and they applied the gift coupon anyway.
The store itself is kind of small and the hanging items tend to be kind of smashed together so if you comb back on the racks, an item or two will fall off. They still have a good selection of items to choose from, even with the size constraint.
Of course, I left there spending more money that I was planning too, or care to admit. However, I am VERY happy with the service I was given.
