Yes, it’s true that wait times can be a bit long, but you’re getting medical procedures done, not ordering hot dogs. Had my procedure at the end of March, both eyes. The staff are very nice and my surgeon was very talkative(I’m an introvert, so I would say too talkative ;D), listing out exactly what was happening during the procedure itself. Which is especially good given that at one point your vision is totally blacked out by medication. Don’t let the above scare you. I was very anxious before and during the procedure, but the worst I can say is, I was«uncomfortable» with everything happening so fast and that the tape being used to hold open/closed my eyelids hurt when yanked off. That’s it. I assure you there are no moments you are in pain from things being done to your eyes. The whole thing was done in about 5 – 6 minutes, maybe more, and the surgical staff were really great. Even being a big, medical scaredy cat, they held my hand and got me through it fast and easy. As for results, my general vision was back up to lens-corrected levels within several days. There are, however, very common side effects that you can read up about all over the internet. You will sign a LONG waiver stating you acknowledge the worst of the worst that could happen, and are undergoing the procedure anyways. So my general vision is clear, I can see individual leaves of trees, etc. but one month on, text is still ghosting(especially backlit like on computer screens) and bright lights are starbursting more prominently. I still have several months to go before I would worry about adjustments or touch-ups(healing can take anywhere from 3 – 6 months), but even still, my current level of vision is fully functional, and I don’t have to wear glasses or contacts. Whether insured or not, good credit or not, their financial partner will set up something that works for you(because they want your money, heh heh). My procedure cost just over $ 3000, I’m uninsured but employed full-time. My minimum monthly was set all the way down to $ 97 a month(they recommend in the doctor’s office the rate you should pay above that, because the credit company is not altogether«sporting» in their lending practices). I decided to pay $ 500 a month: P Would recommend this business if you’re seriously considering LASIK.

I started my venture in Lasik in the beginning of Feb 2011 and after about 4 different consultations with other surgeons I chose Lasik Vision Institute. The price of the procedure was what sold me. They own there own equipment and they are all over the US. I felt at ease with the staff and the doctors. I only saw Dr. George for about 15 – 20 minutes during the procedure but before everything he made sure that you had no questions about the procedure. I am going on week two of 20⁄20 and love it! The only negative thing I can say about this was the wait time the day of the procedure. I got to my appointment at 8am and didn’t see the surgeon until about 11:30. I was dismissed after post op around 2pm. So if you do choose them. Plan to spend the day and have your ride leave the office. No reason for them to stay there and wait…
