Tacos have gotten pricey over time, my personal favorite barbacoa tacos(not too greasy, not too chewy), I love the food but I’d stay away from the red sauce(different than the salsa used for chips) because I think they reuse the salsa and that’s gross. It’s cash only, that’s always just a little annoying but a small price to pay for great food. Only complaint is the staff, they can be pretty rude as well as the manager. Other than that, this is one of my favorite taquerias is Fort Worth, especially in the Saginaw/Lakeworth area where the Mexican food sucks. Oh and the horchata is grainy sometimes. How do you mess up horchata?

Stopped in for a quick bite but found out hey we’re cash only so had to turn around and get some cash. Ordered the tacos de Asada, barbacoa, carnitas & al pastor. All were very good — especially the barbacoa. Food was very quickly put together and I was out the door wishing a few minutes. Only giving 4 stars because the cilantro was not that fresh and the lines provided were also turning and those are huge pet peeves of mine.

I’ve been a few times and it wasn’t that great but the trompo tacos made me change my mind. Probably the only thing I’ll get from here but def worth trying if you love tacos *Try with green sauce*

Great Food. Had the chilaquiles and they hit the spot. With the just the right zestiness. Even though the place was pretty busy service was quick and the price was more than fair for the quality of food. Next visit, plan to post pictures. Tacos looked great and the people next to me seemed to be enjoying them. Sorry, I didn’t taste them. .

Do not eat here. The salsa you dip your chips in is thrown back into the bucket to later serve other guest. 0 stars if possible.

I’m writing this review about the tacos Al pastor in general. They’re done very well here and cooked the traditional way on a trompo(vertical rotisserie). The corn tortillas are also something to get excited about here, they complement the pastor filling perfectly! I can’t speak for any other of the taco fillings, but the pastor is where its at here. Give them a shot!

Taqueria Ruby is an authentic, no-frills Mexican restaurant — cash only and cheap, wonderful food. Basically, you pick a meat and then pick the dish; you can choose from tacos, burritos and tortas(kind of like a Mexican sub sandwich). I’ve had every kind of meat at Ruby and prefer the asada and carnitas. Their meats are always seasoned right and flavorful. The only thing I might not order again is tripas(intestines) — you’ll want to order those crispy if you’re brave enough to eat them. They also have lengua(beef tongue), which is surprisingly good despite an odd texture. Tacos come on corn tortillas with cilantro and onions. Burritos are the usual flour tortilla, rice and beans. Tortas — probably my favorite — are served on a soft, somewhat sweet roll with white cheese, jalapeños, lettuce and tomato. All the food at Ruby is served with either a green tomatillo or red salsa and both are excellent. Make sure to eat in so you can get free chips and salsa(yet another variety) and watch the Mexican soap operas and game shows that are always playing.
