Made an effort to stop by and check the place out awhile back. First thing I noticed that, while there is plenty of parking out front of the building, there is NOFREE parking. Apparently there is currently a little«situation/dispute» going on, so they no longer have any spaces set aside for the business. You can park, but better put money in the box. The lot next to that is post office space, and they also have«no parking, get towed» signs there as well. Your options are to park on the street at a meter, free after 6 pm and weekends, or, drive around back and park in the TRE lot, which I didn’t check out. I found a space on the street out front. Anyway…made a visit for the Wed. night $ 3 draft special. Took me a few tries to find the right door to enter,(doors to the side of the center doors were locked) but made it inside fairly easy. Looks like you enter only from the covered patio way. I went in to the bar, but they have a huge covered patio outside, with the only possible downside I could tell was only one TV out there. Inside is nice, big, a bit cavernous with the high ceilings. Plenty of TV’s over the long bar. Plenty of seating inside. Plopped down at the bar, got some queso, chips and salsa, and snagged a beer. It was early evening, but was still pretty relaxed inside, although it did get busier as time went on. Queso cheese was a little different than what I usually see at most places, not the cheap stuff tho… just different. Salsa was good, but in my opinion not much heat, if any. Chips were fine, seemed outta the bag, but worthwhile. All around good snack stuff, and before 7 pm(on weekdays, at least) all apps are half off. Add that to the $ 3 drafts, that were served in full size glasses, and you can’t beat that deal. Service was good. All in all, looks like a good place to hang out with zero pretentious factor. Can’t say about anything else. They do have some kind of special every weeknight, and most of them looked pretty good. When I went in there were papers all over describing the parking problem. Sure looked like a dispute to me, maybe they should have gotten those concessions in the lease, or maybe it ran out, who knows. It did say if you didn’t put money in the parking box the company would boot your car at $ 115 fee to remove. The TRE lot I understand is patrolled by TRE security, and there is a long inside covered tunnel to the back lot but I glanced that way and it appeared to me to be exactly that, a LONG tunnel. So might be hoofing it some from back there. But it’d be worth it to check the place out. I liked it, not sure how much I’ll be visiting, but I wouldn’t hesitate if I’m over this way again. I bumped it to a four star because I do like the place.

My lovely wife and I are new to fort value and I can declare with complete truthfulness this is actually the greatest pub in fort worth! Really nicely crafted faucet list… check, excellent veranda… check, mind blowing historical architecture… check. I actually can not say enough positive things. Play a game of darts or totes on the enormous veranda and get a brisket taco. Heaven on earth

I’ve been taking the train to Dallas and this is such a great place to grab a drink and half priced app free a stressful day! They have a huge projection TV screen covering one wall, and an awesome selection of craft beer and they seem to get the«hard to get» beers before other bars in the area. I’m thinking they have a hook up somewhere! Anyways, the food is your standard bar food, but it is pretty darn tasty. I really love the brisket nachos, Reuben, and pretzel with beer cheese! Oh, and they have the BEST tasting tortilla chips… be careful bc once you start snacking on them it is rrreally hard to stop! The bartenders are friendly, the beer is good, and they are conveniently located within walking distance of my last train stop home! All around a great place!

One of the best happy hours in Fort Worth! Different specials daily, ONTOP of a regular happy hour menu. I always receive consistently great service… rarely have to wait more than 30 seconds before a bartender notices an empty glass. Great bar snacks, and extensive beer selection. Highly recommend adding it to your rotation of happy hour spots!

Although the I may be a bit biased(since I live in the building), I have to say this lil bar is simply the BEST. Great neighborhood place with terrific drink specials and good food. The bartenders(Nancy, Brad, John, & recently Liz) are very nice and pour up some great mixtures — come see Nancy on Mondays for $ 4 Martinis! The train wreck(Firefly blackberry moonshine and whiskey) is a personal favorite, although with the cool weather, the candy cane really hits the spot. Wednesday’s bring $ 3 craft beers(and pretty good crowds) and Friday’s are $ 4 longnecks with a shot. Appetizers are ½ price till 7 each night — the pork quesadilla is yummy. It’s just a cool place to hang out with a good mix of young, older, residents, out-of-towners, and commuters. There’s a big patio with a BigAss Fan, Jinga, Cornhole, music &TV. Inside has the original diner feel with plenty of TVs, but you might just rather belly up and have a nice conversation! Enjoy!

Let’s just start off with the atmosphere; we loved it. Have an indoor for chillier days or «outdoor» for a louder crowd. Lots of fun games to keep you entertained but we decided to dine in. We really enjoyed the food, meatloaf burger was to die for. We chose the beer mac and cheese as the side and it was okay. I personally don’t like the hint of beer in my Mac. We also had their brisket and pork tacos and it was very flavorful, their salsa was extraordinary. Nice and garlic-y! The chips were the best chips I’ve had in awhile. We did a flight of beer and that was really fun and cute. They had chalkboard labels on the flight. The bartender was very knowledgable, helps us choose what’s best for our taste buds. Price was also a plus, inexpensive. I am excited to return for other menu favorites

What a great idea… a tavern in a train station! This place is awesome! I rode the TRE. All you do is walk downstairs and there it is. I’m all for not having to drive. Joe was so nice and made sure we had everything we needed. Thanks for the great service! They have a wide selection of food and drinks as well. Yep, I’m putting this place on my list.

Based on the bar service only! Nancy was amazing! Ridiculously nice and friendly. The bar is super cute and it’s so fun to be in the old diner/train station environment. They had a fun selection of drinks and awesome specials throughout the week. I had a draft beer and then asked Nancy if we could do the Elvis drink but as a shot and she actually made it for us! It never got busy but there was a constant flow of people and you could tell a lot of them were regulars. They have a great«covered» patio hats pet friendly and an outside bar and TV. I really enjoyed this place and will absolutely come back when I’m in ft worth!

1930 built and tastefully updated honoring the history! Everything served here is fabulous. Joanne and Nate and their wonderful staff make the experience quite exceptional. I’ve held medium to large parties here and we had great fun. Great stories re the past. And a love story for the owners too. One of my faves is the chipotle chicken salad and change to brisket instead of grilled chicken. Yum!

Stopped by Thursday night with friends after work. Been there before. Great selection of beers on draft. Great ambiance. Hey I love neat old buildings! Nancy was tending bar and treated us great. She really took care of our group. Always there to make sure we had everything we needed. We also ordered some appetizers which were nicely sized. Potato skins and two others. All in all we had a great time. When the cooler weather comes there is a nice patio area. I believe that area may also be pet friendly. Nice place to meet friends. Two thumbs up!

Our group was looking for somewhere close to the Omni that was good, had drinks, and was not a chain restaurant. We found it at T&P Tavern. Wasn’t sure how to go in, but, just enter the doors at the front of the building, cross the empty(but impressive!) courtyard thing(make sure to look up at the ceiling!) and go through the next set of doors. You can choose to eat outside or inside. We happened to come on Martini Monday, where a lengthy assortment of Martinis are $ 4! Among us, we tried every martini on the list, with the exception of «The Elvis» which included banana liqueur, crushed peanuts and bacon… The waitress admitted it might be fun to order, but is seldom actually finished. I took that to mean, gross and a waste of $ 4 and stomach space! All the Martinis were reported to be delicious, according to differing tastes who enjoy everything from traditional Martinis to chocolate and more. We ordered half price appetizers(available 4−7pm) and they were perfect companion fare. I give this a big thumbs up and five stars! Will return.

Amazing art deco gem we stumbled on while staying near the convention center. It is walking distance from the Sheraton and the Convention center, but also has ample parking. We entered through the front of the building and were in awe of the beautiful architecture of what was the original train station lobby. The tavern is just as amazing with many original details including the bar stools. It was Monday, so martini’s were only $ 4! I don’t think of myself as a martini fan, but they had a variety of options including one with whiskey. The bartender was attentive, helpful, and funny. She pointed out specials and let us sample beer we weren’t ready to commit to a full glass. We had several appetizers and all were perfect. Certainly seems like a hidden gem! We’ll be back the next time we’re in Fort Worth.

I’ve been here three times. Their pulled pork nachoes and pulled pork pizza is great. First time to ever have something like that. Love the service & atmosphere. Oh, and their crawfish boil was the bomb. Can’t wait to go back here.

Great Resturant/bar. This place, the friendly staff, and the train are the best things about buying a condo at the Texas and Pacific Lofts. This place has really neat events throughout the year, and is a great spot to meet fellow residents and others that live/hang out downtown.

This review is based mostly on food and atmosphere since I did not have drinks while here. I will be back for drinks though. Food — 3 stars Atmosphere — 4.5 stars Loved the environment. Very laid back and chill. Would take visitors here from out of town. They have a large patio with plenty of games to keep you entertained: large Jenga and bean bag toss to to name a few. We went when it happened to be happy hour(M-F 4 – 6PM) half price appetizers. We ordered the hummus per Unilocal reviewers and thought it to be less than par. Pita bread was so hard we thought our teeth would chip. Hummus itself was only so-so. The pulled pork quesadilla wasn’t bad. Large portion. Juicy and cheesy. Not too shabby for only $ 4.50. We also ordered the southwest salad and wasn’t impressed. They were light handed on the dressing and any bit of dressing we did have wasn’t flavorful. Not worth $ 9. Portion was small for that price and definitely wouldn’t have kept me full as a meal. Hubby tried rahr blond and thought it went bad. He also tried some If’nPA beer and thought it was ok. Not kid friendly. We didn’t take our tot and probably wouldn’t in the future.

I made the mistake of going to T&P with my toddler, but that was my mistake for not reading the reviews more closely so I won’t let that affect the rating. There are some cool things about T&P, like the nice beer selection and decent food(the hummus and pita bread were surprisingly good!). The bartender was a little overworked, but did a good job of serving everyone pretty quickly. As cool as the history and architecture are, I found the atmosphere to be pretty boring. The patio is huge but pretty bland too. I went on a slow Saturday afternoon but still had to park on the street a block away. I can only imagine how bad parking is during happy hour. I noticed that they have $ 3 «craft draughts» on Wednesdays, so that seems like something worth checking out.

What a fantastic find on a Sunday night. T&P is hidden in the back alley of a few(rather worn down) sets of buildings on Lancaster. The bar is filled with TVs in every corner, along with a rather large projector on the left wall. Extremely spacious, and I would say that the outside patio is the same size(if not bigger) than the interior of the bar. It’s an excellent place to hang outside with friends and a cold beer when the weather is nice. High ceilings and lots of décor that emphasize old train stations. The dim lighting makes you feel comfortable! My boyfriend and I were greeted by a friendly face named Nan(short for Nancy). The sweetest bartender we’ve had in awhile, and she was so accommodating. I told her that it was our first time here, and she gave us a food menu, martini menu, and directed us toward the selection of beers that were available. I know nothing of beers, but I love the taste of dark ones. There were so many on tap that I had no idea where to begin. Nan gave me some great suggestions and also offered to let me try any of the beers before dedicating myself to a tall glass. I ended up going for the Rabbit Hole, which was amazing(highly recommend) and had a rich flavor. Nan also let us change the channels on any of the TVs and made us feel right at home with everything. There’s different specials that occur on each day of the week. Lucky for us, we stumbled across T&P on a Sunday, which meant all day happy hour! I believe domestics were only $ 2.50. Homey staff and a great place to grab some beers and pass the time with friends. I also noticed a ping pong table and a jumbo Jenga on the way out. Noise level isn’t high at all, and they also play Modest Mouse and Radiohead! What a pleasant find in the Fort Worth area; highly recommend!

I have been to T&P a handful of times and have left pleased every time. When I head to Fort Worth it seems to be a perfect place to meet up with my friends from the area and one friend lives in the lofts there. The train station is right there which makes for a cool, different atmosphere. The patio is open and historic looking, but you feel enclosed at the same time because you are sitting in the train station part. Interesting. They have corn hole set up and plenty of seating. My favorite thing here is the martini menu! On Mondays they have $ 4 martinis which is an awesome deal! I have caught that one time. I will still pay full price though because they are just that good! The day train martini has godiva and whipped cream vodka with caramel on the rim … mmm soo tasty! I also recently tried the lunar white and it was a pineapple martini with some other flavors that rocked my taste buds. T&P also have an awesome craft beer selection if that is your thing! As far as food I have tried some of the appetizers that friends have ordered and they have all been good as well. I like T&P because of the location, ambiance, cocktails and convenience! I have also never been here when it has been too crowded. It has been a great place to catch up with friends and have good conversation.

They’re getting 4 stars for having such a great atmosphere. You got food, drinks, everyday drink specials, indoor seating, large picnic tables outdoors, giant jenga, ping pong table, and cornhole! Their outdoor patio is basically inside a train station, but there lots of long picnic tables and perfect for big groups to chill and enjoy some beer. Quality of their cocktails are good, but small and weak in the alcohol content. The best deal that me and some friends got was on Thursday or Friday night I believe where you get a beer and a shot for $ 4! You can definitely have a good night with that. They also have typical bar food and snacks. Personal pizzas for $ 7(small and thin, not worth it. I got a hummus plate for about $ 8, definitely delicious. They have chips and salsa as well.
