I like what they are trying to do here. Living on Riverpark Drive a few years ago was nice because you can walk out of your apartment and be able to access the trails. They do have water fountains, toliets, water fountains for your pup. There’s a ton of people riding bikes through here. In the summer it’s brutal because there is zero shade. I wish they would take it a step further and plants trees! Then we could eventually have shaded parts, pathways, etc.

I went here for a quick run and it was fine. Not a whole lot of shade though so it can get really hot during certain times of day. There’s decent parking, a restroom, water fountain, and even a small water fountain for your dog! It’s a pretty quiet place during the early afternoon, I saw mostly bike riders. There’s also either gravel or the concrete to run on which is nice.

This is a great place to start your hike of the Trinity Trails. You can find it by car off of Bryant Irvin to the west and there’s a good amount of parking and a water fountain, toilet, and even water for your dog. You can mostly head north from here along the river. The best way to navigate is to plan your trip ahead of time with the free app.
