Had margaritas, frog dip, salsa, elote and beef and chicken enchiladas– everything was delicious, everyone was friendly, and would definitely come back again if I lived in the area!

awesome first experience here today for lunch! we went in and explained we hadn’t been before but that we heard there were vegan options. we went with the #3 blue plate tacos and their special grilled avocado(and two coronas of course!) the food was AMAZING. the presentation made me feel like I was in a fancy restaurant. everything was so deliciously packed with flavor. **bonus points were when the woman taking our order yelled the order in Spanish to the fabulous kitchen crew, I heard her say«no cream no cheese» when we didn’t even specify that to her when we ordered. thanks for taking care of us! we will definitely be back soon.

I can’t believe I haven’t been here before! Everything down to the beans and rice is DELICIOUS – and I never eat beans and rice! The rice alone is my favorite I’ve ever had, and even though dietary restrictions dictate I shouldn’t have any, I finished mine a NB d my sister’s! The salsa is perfectly spicy, and the brisket tacos are to DIE for – thr brisket is delicious and plentiful! We were greeted immediately by a smiling face(maybe the owner?) who hooked us up with chips and salsa on the house – delish! The service and food are amazing, I’ll be back for the fried enchiladas!

Pegaso has recently redone their menu ordering process, and I’m a fan! I really like to support local small businesses however sometimes they fall off my radar or one meh experience keeps me from giving a new restaurant a second chance. So I do feel bad that it took me 18months to come back. I’m very happy that I met the owner, Jay, in person this week and while discussing neighborhood association issues he told me about his menu redo. Just finished an order of brisket street tacos and a chicken taco. The brisket was tender and had a smoky, flavorful taste. Good portion size and excellent corn tortillas. The side rice was moist and tasty. I usually pass on refried beans(trying to save my marriage lol) but I did have a few forkfuls of these excellent ones. My wife had a blue zone avocado veggie black bean salad type entrée. It was a ton of food and as a bonus it was tasty and healthy. The staff here is friendly and accommodating. We sat in the patio, which when it’s 72degrees out is heavenly. Some traffic noise but easy to have a conversation and plenty of fresh air. They brought utensils and napkins out since we neglected to gran our own. Pegaso is a solid contender in the locally owned category AND in the crowded tex mex genre. I think their tag line is putting the mex back onto texmex.

We read Unilocal and decided we liked the things people were saying. We drove down and found ample parking. The place is very clean and the people were very helpful in ordering, which is different. My wife ordered a bowl and I had enchiladas with rice, refried beans two eggs. I think I would enjoy going back and probably getting something different. Now that I know where it is, is a big help.

I liked the food. This is not«Tex-Mex.» This is something more purely Mexican /Latin. My dad’s fajitas had good flavor, but the meat was kind of tough.(I know. tough meat sometimes happens.) It only came with three tortillas, which seemed a bit insufficient. Since chips & salsa were an add-on charge, we were pretty sure more tortillas would’ve been an add-on charge, too. I had the Sundance. That’s a cheese enchilada and a pork enchilada, with rice & beans. The cheese enchilada never got warm enough to melt all the cheese. The pork enchilada was so stuffed full of pork, it was kind of hard to cut. Dont’ get me wrong, I’m glad there was a lot of meat. But, it could’ve been more evenly distributed. Most places also serve more rice & beans to help balance the plate out a little better. Normally, I would’ve asked for some tortillas to make a couple of bean & rice burritos OR used some spare chips & salsa and used the beans & rice as some sort of dip. But, with it seeming like everything was an add-on, I just ate the beans & rice as they were. I’m sure it sounds like I didn’t like the food. That’s not true. I enjoyed the flavors. I even went back to the counter and ordered some Churros. The Churros were good, but I’ve had better elsewhere. Also, if you order the Churros, you might want to cut each one in half and let them sit on the plate for a couple of minutes, so they can cool down a bit. The filling was QUITE hot when I bit into them. What’s the place like? Clean and well-kept. It’s on Bluebonnet Circle. It feels like a «trendy» place, which usually isn’t my thing… You walk in, order at the counter, pay, and they bring your food to you. After a while, they had music AND a TV going, which became rather annoying, since the whole place is glass, metal, and hard walls. The sound just kept bouncing around and getting more and more annoying, especially as it seemed like they kept turning up the volume. :( Bottom line… Am I glad I went? Sure, I can mark it off my list. Did I like the food? Yeah. Would I go back? Probably not. There are too many other places that serve similar style foods that don’t nickle and dime you on everything.

–The food: Pretty mediocre. I got the Tejano, which is a cheese and a beef enchilada with rice and beans. The rice and beans were pretty good. I mean, it’s hard hard to mess those up. The enchiladas, though… were very subpar. The sauce was very greasy as was the beef. And the cheese… I don’t know, normally cheese enchiladas are made with a queso sauce or something, but these were just melted cheese. I also got chips, salsa, and queso which were all very good, but not great. –the service: this is what took the review from a three to a two. My three friends and I were the only people there. The service was fast, but they got two of our orders wrong. They brought two new plates out, but mine was wrong the second time, as well. They got it right the third time. Then my friend ordered a coke float, which they didn’t bring out until he asked. Even then, they gave him the coke, but not the ice cream for whatever reason. –Overall: not awful, and I would eat here again if I had to, but there are by far much better places in FW

Ignore all of the Mexican chains in Fort Worth and come to Pegaso. You don’t have to wait to be seated like other restaurants so you can come with however big of a group you want. Pegaso recently changed their menu board and it is very easy to read now. They still have their chalkboard menu for specials, which I love. Last time I was there I saw a coconut margarita. That’s unique! If you want really tasty Mexican food without the wait, Pegaso is for you. Pegaso makes hands down the best premium margaritas. I don’t drink that much and I crave their margaritas. I wish I could send you a taste electronically. They have the perfect amount of sweet and salty. I don’t like it when my Margarita is so sweet that it becomes hard to drink and I don’t like too much ice either. Actually, I’m picky with margaritas and Pegaso has perfected them. You can read my previous reviews on Pegaso’s food. It is always served hot and fresh on a clean plate. This time I’m going to talk about their churros dessert. My goodness. The churros were mouthwatering. They came out hot and in good sized pieces to share. I don’t know exactly what was inside of the churros but it was similar to dulce de leche and it was delicious. Feel free to use your hands to dip the churros into the homemade ice cream. It’s the perfect bite. Writing this review is making me crave them again. The employees at Pegaso are really nice and my boyfriend and I have connected with the manager. He is the best. He always makes us feel welcome. I mentioned last time about their new rewards program and I now understand how it works. Yes, it does give you points for every dollar you spend but only up to $ 10, which is kind of a bummer if you purchase meals for a large group. Bring all of your family and friends to Pegaso and enjoy the food inside or on the patio.

First, I love how much this place and the people here care about the food they create, make, and serve and care about their customers’ pleasure in eating their food. Everyone who works here is super nice and they take care of their customers. Now, the food. The food is delicious! It isn’t what one thinks of as typical tex-mex, and thank God for that, we have enough of those! The food is creative, carefully considered, ingredients are fresh and selective, and the plates, especially the specials, are wonderful! Good stuff! Love the Avocado Enchiladas, the elote, all of the veggie plates, and their queso.

Great place! Great options for vegetarian or vegan diners. Just let them know and they will take good care of you. A breath of fresh air in a chain heavy environment. I have had the vegan bowl, the veggie fajitas, blue zone tacos, and on my last visit they suprised me with a beatiful half grilled avacado filled with cabbage and shredded veggies on a bed of brown rice with some grilled zuccini and carrots with a side arugula salad and a salsa verde border. It was almost to pretty to eat. But I managed.

A little nicer atmosphere than Fuzzy’s. I absolutely love the music. The guys that work there are very nice. They help you decide what to get. Presentation is always a plus, and you can check in and get rewards with FIVESTARS. Parking is minimal since it is bluebonnet circle. Drink prices are legit. $ 2 beer $ 3 margaritas. That’s awesome. My past visits have been trying the chips and salsa, elote, pegaso enchilada with carnitas, chicken flautas, and special of the day avocado enchiladas with beef fajitas which was my favorite. I think everyone should migrate towards the specials of the day because these guys are quite creative. I definitely recommend this place the next time your craving mexican food.

Strutted in about an hour before close and thankfully no one seemed too mad. I went for the carnitas burrito bowl. Carnitas were fresh and he used the tongs to swirl and chop the meat in the sauce before topping my cilantro lime rice. Went with black beans, because I dig them. Seemed about average but it’s just a bean… I mean refrieds I could see analyzing the flavor but most black beans are just black beans. Asked about the sauce. «Do you like spicy?» he says. Whoa tiger, I’m a married woman! Jokes. I love spicy so he recommends the ranchero. Added a whole buncha veggies and some cheese.(Love that queso is a sauce option AND that cabbage came as a topping.) and ordered a Sol because 2 dollars. Yeah that’s bargain beer y’all. No major complaints! The sauce could’ve been spicier but I could’ve added pickled jalapeños too so it’s whatever. All other toppings and rice were as expected. Pork had a great tender texture and the sauce tasted a bit of chipotle, very good. 23 bucks for two beers and two bowls is not all that bad. I don’t feel shorted! Wish I had gotten some elote that’s for sure! My husband however who could eat a horse for dinner, was still a bit hungry after the bowl. I feel satiated, could’ve walked away miserable(my meal plus some churros maybe?!) but glad I didn’t. I’ll go back, it’s like a Chipotle but it seems mom and pop which I support more than Chipotle and their beers are cheaper. More variety also like cabbage wraps instead of tortillas, enchiladas, and fajitas too! Yum!

We went to Pegasos because of all the great Unilocal reviews. I was dying to try the spicy elote, and it was absolutely delicious. Also, ordered the Pegasos enchilada… a little different from the traditional enchiladas. However, with all the toppings added and the chipotle sauce is an agreed«a must try.»

PuhLEASE come to Pegaso, because I’m very concerned it’s going to close. They seem to do a brisk take-out business, but there are rarely any other patrons… which is kind of okay, because my friends and I seem to have our best(read: most hilarious/naughty) stories told here. I’m sorry– I’m one of those college-age hooligans you and your mom talk smack about in the quiet booth in the corner. At Pegaso, the brisket enchiladas call my name. You get two, and I get ‘em smothered with queso and ranchero sauce and then loaded up with cabbage, lettuce, onions, corn, feta, the works. Honestly, where can you go wrong? The brisket is great, the toppings are fresh, and the staff is sweet. With your meal, you also get a choice of rice and beans, and I always go for pinto and Mexican, respectively. Stellar. The margs are always cheap($ 3? whenever I go?), and maaaaybe I’m just a lightweight now that I’m out of college, but I feel like they’re quite strong. If you’re looking for an additional bargain, enter your phone number into their rewards program. I get texts constantly for discounts like 25% off, free fountain drink, or free chips and salsa, and every time I go there, I get points towards free meals.

[ FOOD ] Went here on a Sunday afternoon and ordered a Pegaso with brisket and mild elote to-go and… THEYBOTHTASTEDSOOOOOOGOOD! + The brisket was very flavorful + I’m not usually a fan of refried beans, but there seems to be a secret ingredient in there that makes it a little saltier than any refried beans I’ve ever had(saltier in a good way, it enhanced the flavor) + Elote was good, my only mistake is that I should’ve gotten spicy instead of mild: P + The toppings on the on Pegaso(pepper, onion, cabbage, corn, etc) were so fresh I will be coming back multiple times to try their other options! [ PARKING /DECOR ] Other good things about Pegaso: + To-go parking spaces with additional parking lot in the back + Outdoor patio + Plenty of seats and tables + Very very clean :)

Pegaso, you’ve stolen my heart. This place is set up as a build-your-own kinda dealio. You’ve got your options of a 2 enchilada plate, street tacos, a burrito/burrito bowl, and the Pegaso enchilada. It was my first time in so I was staring at the menu, probably looking a little confused, but the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. One of them recommended the Pegaso, and I was starving, so I told him to make me whatever he preferred. It was AAAAMAAAAZING! Mine was filled with brisket, topped with queso, cilantro, corn, lettuce, and I also got some guacamole to top it off as well. It comes with a side of rice and beans, which were delicious in their own right. I also got the spicy elote, which I personally didn’t think was particularly spicy, but it was creamy, warm, and a perfect counterpart to my enchilada. I’m getting hungry just writing out this review! I was going to get a frozen margarita(which they let me sample and that alone tasted AMAZING), but after bragging that they had the best bartender(there’s no bar in here so I was exceptionally confused) I told them to make me something good. I was NOT disappointed — their«bartender» here is absolutely incredible to watch and his drinks were AWESOME! They have a tiny section behind the counter where this man keeps his«bar», so by all means, ask for the premium drink if you feel like treating yourself. He’ll ask you what you like and tailor a drink special just for you. What really makes this place for me is the pricing. You’re getting great, fresh food without breaking the bank, which is exactly what a broke college student(i.e. me) is always looking for. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful, and the place itself is very cute inside. If you’re craving Mexican food, or a good margarita, come here — you won’t be disappointed.

It’s my birthday and wanted something different for lunch other than what’s in my fridge. I first read about Pegaso in Ft. Worth weekly and wanted to try it since. I checked out there website this morning and«100% fresh ingredients» caught my eye. Woot! A plus. We got there right at 11, so we were the first ones. No waiter service here. You go through the line kind of like Qdoba or Chipotle. I wanted something light so I went with a salad. The menu says they have fajita beef or chicken, but not today. They only had carnitas, brisket, and chicken tinga. I went with chicken tinga. Chicken cooked in onions and tomatoes. You can choose any vegetable from tomato, julienned zucchini, onions, pickled onions, red cabbage, green cabbage, Pico, corn, and more. One thing for sure the ingredients are fresh! I went with the tomatillo dressing. I was watching my kids to to make sure they wasn’t climbing the rails and didn’t tell him to put the dressing on the side instead of my salad. No biggie though. My salad was pretty good. Queso Blanco and chips came with the kids meal and I got salsa to try. Salsa had a pretty good kick to it and the queso was good. Build your own enchiladas? Yes please! I definitely will be back to try the tacos and enchiladas!
