Luskey’s/Ryon’s Western Stores Inc

Found Luskey’s last year, when my wife suggested that I get fitted for a custom pair of boots. Read some online magazines as she was driving towards Ft. Worth from Amarillo — and settled on Luskey’s. I got my feet measured six ways from Sunday, picked out the leather, leather color, stitching, stitching color, etc — and was told to wait for 6 – 8 weeks. About 5 ½ weeks later, the boots arrived. Absolutely amazing how they felt, this is the way boots are supposed to feel!
Wore them solidly for about 4 ½ months, when I noticed the leather split from the welt on the right boot. We were returning to Texas to visit the in-​laws, so I brought the boots with me. Walked into Luskey’s, pulled out my boots and showed them what happened. The guy who measured my foot immediately recognized us, and assured us it shouldn’t have happened, and will repair it/​ship it to me for no additional cost. He even gave me tips to care for the sole based on the salty-​air climate I live in.
Customer service was so good, my wife pulled the trigger for the boots she got measured for last year — because they clearly stood by their product. He even offered the boots for last year’s price, since I was there to have mine repaired. We couldn’t be happier with the product or their customer service!

Would give zero if I could.
Took a trip to Stockyards to check out the Old West theme and stopped by this place, hoping to maybe grab a souvenir or two on the way out. Place is totally empty of customers… I soon found out why.
Two old guys running shop, one at the entrance «welcomed» us. Asked if we wanted anything in particular and I said not really, just want to look around. He got this disappointed look on his face. I said maybe a hat would be nice but I’d need to look around first, and he yelled «WHY NOT!» (I should’ve left at this point.)
We circled around the store a bit and this guy followed us around, stopping at every stop we did, just like you would follow a kid at a toy store to make sure they didn’t steal or break anything.
Seriously? I’m in a touristy part of Texas and this is how they treat me? I would almost call it racist except no store I’ve stepped into has treated me this way since I was like 5. I had half a mind to call him out on it, but Texas gun laws being what they are I figured I’d leave well enough alone.
I legitimately thought of buying a belt, but after noticing this creeper following us around I decided not to give them any business. Plenty of stores in the area sells this stuff, and probably do so without stalking you throughout their store.
Like creepy old guys stalking you and giving you some stink eye the entire time? Yep, this is your store. Do like everyone else and never come here.

Awesome place to find western wear in Fort Worth. Found the same exact cowboy hat here for $ 30 cheaper than Leddy’s just a few blocks up the road (closer to the stockyards). The sales people are friendly and helpful and they have a good selection of boots, clothes and hats. Their hat fitter really knows his stuff too. I highly recommend this place!
