I debated 3 stars. Thumbs up for finding a doctor that’s not cut happy. When I broke my ankle and foot, I didn’t want to end up with surgically implanted rods and pins. No thank you. This guy was great in the respect that we did a cast for the first few weeks and then I could switch to a walking boot for the remainder of my recovery. The aggravating part of this experience is communication. Several times when I called, no one answers. Leaving a voice mail was pointless. His schedule is so busy that it was impossible to do weekly follow ups. AHHHH. I understand that he is a great doctor, so he is in demand. That being said, I wonder if he ever stops accepting new patients? He is so busy it’s ridiculous.

Dr. Kleuser is part of Texas Health Care, P.L.L.C. I’m so excited to find a good orthopedic MD who is not itching to do surgery! I went to see Dr. Kleuser because I was having some pain and swelling in one of knees while working out, and was afraid I had done some ligament damage. We ended up doing some X-rays(which they can do right on site), and an MRI(Had to go to clinic for this one). He carefully and completely reviewed all the findings with me, taking care to explain everything in terms I could understand. Dr. Kleuser is a runner himself, so he has a sense for what you are feeling. In my case, we decided against surgery, which I am very glad we did. I highly recommend Tom if you are having joint or bone pain. A sensible Dr. Who has seen it all!
