Personally, I wouldn’t recommend Kindred for your loved ones. Recently, I had an awful experience with my fathers overall care. Initial though the on boarding process, we were led to believe there would be high level of concern and care for my father. Since I live out of state, Shannon Griffin shared with me that she would take an extra special initiative to ensure my dad had the best possible care. Needless to say, that didn’t happen. In the end her words were a bunch of hot air. She was more interested in the business aspect of my father and making sure she was able to admit him to the facility for revenue gain. My father’s care ended when I received a call from my father who was very ill. I made several phone calls to the facility to ascertain his current medical condition, only to be told he’s fine. Going with my gut, I didn’t stop with the initial assessment, but demand he be sent to the local hospital emergency room. Upon arrival it was discovered, he was in critical condition and admitted to ICU shortly thereafter. Several days later Shannon Griffin contacted my father in the ICU to see when he would be returning to the facility. Due to his critical state, he redirected her to me. She contacted me and apologized profusely indicating she and the other staff had dropped the ball. Ultimately, the purpose of her call was to determine when my father would be returning to the nursing home. I told her it wouldn’t be anytime soon. She said she would follow up concerning my fathers medical condition, I never heard from her again. Only a couple weeks after leaving Kindred Ridgmar, my father died. I’m still waiting on a call from Kindred!
