I’m not a fan of the cheeseburger and fry. However, in their defense it’s super cheap and its par for the course to serve a crappy burger with frozen fries and generic ketchup in Fort Worth. I truly mean this as not an insult to the restaraunt. Their Asian dishes might very well be good(they looked good). That’s what i get for walking into an Asian restaraunt and ordering a cheeseburger and fries.

When you first walk by J’s Burgers N’more, your first instinct is to keep walking. When you finally work up the courage to walk inside, your next thought is that you’ve made a terrible mistake. By the time you finish your meal, you’re wondering why it took you so long to give it a try. While there are certainly better restaurants in downtown Fort Worth, there aren’t very many that can match the variety and value that J’s provides which is why I’m giving it 5 stars. I work downtown and since discovering this place, I’ve been eating lunch there 2 or 3 times a week. Most meals run $ 6 to $ 7 after tax, which is a great deal for what you get. I’ll be the first to admit that the portions are on the small side, but not so small that anyone but the fattest among us would walk away hungry. The family that owns the restaurant apparently purchased it back when it just served your typical burger fair(chicken sandwiches, burgers, cheesesteaks, etc). They wanted to keep the menu the same to appease the current customers, but since they were Asian, they slowly started adding some asian dishes to the menu. Thus, the«N’more» was born. The chicken fried rice is excellent(about $ 6 for a plate and just as good as what you’d get at PF Chang’s for twice as much; I’ve asked for extra rice and for an extra $ 1 you get a plate that you’d be ashamed of finishing), the spicy chicken sandwich is seriously one of the best I’ve had(runs about $ 7 for the sandwich and fries), the cheesesteak is fantastic(though it’s probably one of the greasiest I’ve had… you’ve been warned), the siamese chicken is better than what you’d get at Panda Express(but not as good as what you’d get at PF Changs though it only runs $ 6). The chicken tenders are very good and freshly prepared. Everything comes out piping hot and freshly prepared. Seriously though, this place was a complete surprise to me. It looks like your standard low budget Chinese place on the inside with the cheap table clothes and decorations, but the food is great and has always been prepared fresh with fresh ingredients. Everyone I’ve taken has had the same impressions and it’s now in all of our regular lunch rotations. I’ll say it again — this isn’t the fanciest restaurant in town, but the food is seriously good and the prices can’t be beat. Give it a try.

Terrible quality of food. But very fast service. I feel like I need to do a serious detox after eating here, very processed foods.

This place is way too overrated and most of the reviews are old. The prices are decent at first glance, but the portions are small. You probably would need 1.5 times what you ordered to get full and for that price, why not go somewhere else? I guess its cheap for downtown but the food resembles your high school cafeteria food to a degree and I was not impressed with the previous 5 star reviews.

I was just walking downtown with my four and five year old and decided to grab something to eat. I went through Unilocal and found the closest place which happened to have four stars and one dollar sign(score). I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich(fabulous) and my boys spit the chicken tender plate(they seem very pleased). The food was up within minutes of ordering it, which surprised me with the amount of people in here. I am super duper impressed! I will definitely be back :)

Js is a good place for a quick, cheap lunch. I usually get the drunken noodles, which are quite flavorful and hearty. The Thai beef salad is also a good choice. I’ve only ordered the American food once, I got a club sandwich and fries. The sandwich was good but the fries are the super generic frozen kind. I think Unilocal people overrate this place because it’s a quirky hole in the wall, but it’s nevertheless a decent spot.

This place was great! My husband and I stopped in for a small snack before an event. I got the tuna salad which was just how I would have made it — lots of tuna and very few onions. Served on perfectly toasted bread, with lettuce. My husband got the grilled chicken sandwich which looked equally delicious. They also serve a variety of Asian dishes which looked pretty good. What appeared to be the owners took our order and brought it to our table. I’ll bet this place makes a killing at lunch due to the great prices(my sandwich was only $ 3.95) and the quick service!

Went for a light breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Omelet was cooked just right, biscuits and gravy was well seasoned and the breakfast burrito was ample. Good cheap simple breakfast.

One of the staff had mentioned this place so we figured we would check it out. It’s hidden, so hidden that they put signs out on the street to point to it. W/o the signs you may not find it or even know about it. It’s a small little place that has just about everything & lunch specials. Ordered chicken & broccoli that comes w/white rice. Nothing fancy about it, but the sauce made it quite tasty. For less than $ 6 you can’t go wrong. No substitutes though for other types of rice sadly so healthy options can be somewhat limited. My colleague grabbed cheeseburger. The sauce & bun is what sealed the deal for him. Quite tasty as he said & the price was right. Only downfall is it’s a $ 1.50 for a bottle of soda. If you get a fountain drink there’s a 32 cent charge for refills. Def a good spot to grab a quick & tasty lunch. Best breakout your treasure map to find it though!

Great for a quick lunch. Small place across the street from the Federal Building. No good parking, but if you work downtown, it’s decent Chinese, Thai, and burgers. My favorite is the Thai beef salad.

WHOAWHOAWHOA. Where did this place come from? I’ve never seen it before. I saw the reviews today whilst looking for a place to go for lunch, decided to check it out, and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Thai beef salad and although it was made with iceberg lettuce and I was expecting it to be sub-par, it definitely, definitely was not. Not for 6 dollars, especially. I walked in right at noon, so there was a pretty good sized line, but it went quickly, the food was made quickly, and I was out with my to-go order in 20 – 25 total. Which is not bad at all for walking in right at the lunch rush. Fast, good, and cheap. You don’t get all three very often, but I did here. Score.

A decent place to eat near Convention Center. I actually had the fried catfish & it was good, not great. They offer burgers, dogs, catfish, and… Chinese food. Crazy combos. Crew running place were all business, not friendly, but I wouldn’t say rude, either. Like I said, its decent.

I have to say I was skeptical about trying this place, but it turned out to be a nice find for my fiancé and I! We stopped by on a layover on Amtrak as we were both STARVING(okay, maybe not STARVING but VERY hungry) and needed something somewhat close to the Amtrak station. We ended up just getting the standard«burgers n more» as we stuck with the«American» options. The burger I got was HUGE and delicious. Slightly salty for my taste, but I still ate every bite. My fiancé got the Chicken Strip plate and I have to say… The strips when you put the whole 2 pieces together were probably about a whole chicken breast!!! They were giant and entirely too appetizing. This is going to sound silly but I just wanted to keep eating and ordering food to keep trying the goodness even though I was ALREADY full. If you’re in Ft. Worth you HAVE to drop by. This place is a gem. I can’t wait to try the Asian cuisine they offer on my next layover there!!!

Someone told me about an authentic Thai hole-in-the-wall in downtown FW. I didn’t believe it at first. When I got there, I really didn’t think a ‘burger’ place would serve real Thai food. Boy, was I proved wrong. Curry’s taste 100% Thai(not Americanized). At 6 bucks a plate, you get a serving of rice and curry(w/meat of your choice) over the top. Good deal for downtown.

This was an amazing find. Its right across the street from the backdoor of the Federal Building downtown.(But you have to walk past the homeless man that is perpetually standing in front of the backdoor, talking to the air.) J’s is kind of hidden from view. If you aren’t looking for it, you probably wouldn’t notice it. My boss just heard about J’s from someone in the elevator and we both instantly decided to pay this place a visit. I got the pad thai because it was only available Wed-Fri and limited availability made me want it even more. It was priced somewhere between $ 5.50 and $ 6.00. It was great pad thai. My boss got some sort of curry, also priced similarly. I had a couple bites of her dish and it was really good, too. I was shocked at how clean it was on the inside. Everything was a shade of blue. There were tablecloths! I was stunned. I was expecting the worse. With a name like J’s Burgers N’more, I was expecting a really really crumby Asian place with gross tile and good food. But I was pleasantly surprised. Cheap, good food, AND clean facility. Not to mention extremely convenient location downtown! Sounds like a win-win-win to me!

This little hole in the wall is amazing! The burgers are great, and when they say«N’more,» they mean it. They have incredible Asian food. The drunken noodles are a favorite of mine. Pretty big inside area, but it can get crowded at lunch.
