Unfortunately, today is the last day I’ll shop at this Ace Hardware. I’ve experienced rude service from the manager before but chalked it up to an out-of-the-ordinary experience. I am an Ace Hardware Rewards member, and today I tried to return an $ 0.80 item I bought one week ago. Since I didn’t have my receipt, they said they could take the return for $ 0.14. Whaa? Only $ 0.14 for the same item you have on aisle 28 for $ 0.80?(Btw, I can see the purchase in my Ace Rewards account online.) Then, the lady who’s almost always at the front counter came over and said that their system won’t allow them to take returns of hardware(screws, nuts, bolts, etc.) without a receipt. So, I’m left wondering… the guy said he can allow the return for $ 0.14. The lady says the system won’t allow the return. Who’s right? And, why can’t you simply match the price of the same exact item? It may seem petty that I won’t shop here anymore over $ 0.80, but after reading the other reviewers on here, it only reinforces my decision.

I went several times to the the store and had awesome service until I spoke to the manager Bret. He spoke to me as if I should know everything about a product even though it did not say on the package! He continued be raising his voice at me to the point other customers turned and looked. On a prior trip I could hear him with raised voice like this with an employee and I could not believe until he shocked me by treating a customer this way. I manage a business and do not normally say anything to bad in reviews(everybody has a bad day) but As great as the rest of the staff has always been because of the way Bret treated me today I will NEVER shop here again as long as Bret is employed with this company.

Aost theist friendly and efficient hardware store I have ever visited. As entered with some screens to be repaired, I was greeted by a gentleman that greeted me asked what was looking for, in my case screen repair, and he immediately contacted an individual handling that department who came right and took care of me. First time the store this saved me much time and made me feel welcome by folks that care.

The women cashiers can be rather rude(they are growing on me) but the men working the floor are professional. Definitely a mixed bag. Clean, well organized and close to my home. I am a regular.

I was half way happy with this store until today. The store manager Bret would not match the online price of an item from it’s own website! Bad business, horrible customer service. I will not return to this store. I do not recommend this Ace location. The item online listed as $ 16.99 in the store it was $ 24.99. Even with same day pickup from ordering online the manager would not match the price.

I like this place for three reasons… 1.) They are close 2.) They have a lot of knowledge and can tell you how to do it if needed. 3.)Their prices aren’t bad and pretty much the same as the big stores. That’s what I go there for and they have also showed me ways to do it cheaper. –1:(They are not the friendliness employees I have ever met.

Not that big of a fan of old Ace. Now the staff is always welcoming and asking if they can be of assistance when I go in but I just can’t seem to ever find exactly what I went in for. The prices are kinda on the high side and can’t seem to be competative with my local HD. I’m just not impressed with the store and don’t think the advertisements to promote residents in the area to shop here is good enough.

Nice to have a small hardware store around. They obviously can’t stock up as much merchandise as the big box stores, but they have knowledgeable staff to make up for it. They also have Craftsman and Stihl tools.
